The match was good but I mostly uploaded it for the project. Tajiri and Mogur trying to break each others noses with kick and punches was very Ishikawaish. Tajiri's partners weren't that good. Olympus was awful and future Electroshock was kinda just there. Rudos were awesome though.
-
It was 2 falls cause the rudos got Dq'd for excessive violence I believe.

Another request: Mogur/Americo Rocca/Cadaver de Ultratumba vs. Olimpus/Ultimatum/Yoshihiro Tajiri 2/18/1997 Early Taijiri in CMLL

I agree with Phil. This was pretty enjoyable. The powerbomb on the table on the top rope to the mat was brutal.

[1995-02-25-ECW-Return of the Funker] Shane Douglas vs Marty Jannetty
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in February 1995
Maybe I should watch this again cause all it seemed to be was brawling around the arena and walking around. Marty's dive into the crowd was nice though. When did Shane start using "Perfect Strangers?" Was it after his WWF run?- 9 replies

[1995-02-25-ECW-Return of the Funker] Raven and Tommy Dreamer
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in February 1995
This was awful. I get that Raven's gimmick is being out of it but he really looked it here. Dreamers brawl with the Bullies was weak too.- 5 replies

I just listed to the show and man Dave came off annoying as hell to me. He made some valid points but his constant ass kissing of the Rock is off the charts now. It's almost like he can do no wrong. That rant almost went into Alvarez level.

Watching FCW tonight and they seem to be heading towards a Random Blonde/Rob Naylor and William Regal vs Dean Ambrose/Maxine/Norman Smiley feud. At least that's what I hope happens. Seeing Naylor hide behind the blonde after touching Ambrose was great.

Well, I mention the travel because the first thing I thought of was that if he loves it that much & can't walk away from it, maybe he could take a non-wrestling role, like a road agent. But then you still have to do all of the travel. I can't imagine after that many years driving, flying and crashing in hotels that you would still see the travel as a perk, ya know? But if he just does the Wrestlemania stuff each year, you're absolutely correct. I seriously doubt Taker drives the road anymore. He's probably like Cena, HHH, Orton and Show and has his own bus.

[1995-02-25-ECW-Return of the Funker] Cactus Jack vs D.C. Drake
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in February 1995
Yeah this was a great angle but who was DC Drake? I'm guessing a older ECW guy?- 6 replies

I agree three great interviews. Landell does his best Flair impersonation with the boxes and pink tie on. You know, I never got why Paul E didn't bring in Landell to job to Shane Douglas in ECW? I guess Landell was retired at the time.

[1995-02-20-WWF-Raw] King's Court: Shawn Michaels
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in February 1995
Anytime I see Sid, I just want to fist pump. I don't care, the man is awesome. Interesting to hear Shawn call Lawler "Kingfish". I don't remember anyone calling him that outside of Memphis? -
Do any of the Bobby Heenan vs Brad Rheingans matches exist on tape? Readying Bobby's book and he doesn't put Brad in a bright light.
-
I'm reading Bobby Heenan's first book. He mentions a angle where Nick Bockwinkel put the Figure 4 on Gordon Solie in Atlanta. It got Solie fired for a couple weeks from Florida when Eddie Graham found out. I would love to see that.

I'm up to May 1990 in my Evansville USWA watching. It pretty much is the Ronnie Gossett show with special guests The Southern Rockers and Jeff Jarrett. I enjoyed the Billy Joe Travis babyface turn although it was quite random. The Southern Rockers dropping the tag titles to Sweet Daddy Falcone and Brickhouse Brown was interesting just for how much the Memphis tv crowd hated the Rockers. I don't remember a time where a Memphis crowd hated a babyface team like that? I also didn't know that Dirty White boy went through 3 tag team partners in 90? The way Tony treated Dirty White Girl after she kissed Steve Doll makes the Cena thing from Raw with Eve look like a little dispute. And Loss, the first match between Dundee and John Tatum has to go on the set somehow. I loved when after every move, Tatum would go and kiss Tessa. The guy was such a creep and awesome.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
One of the Maximos retired. The other is teaming with a cousin, Will Maximo. -

It's more that they're going out of their way to mention it when they don't really need to. So even though Shaq hasn't been mentioned on TV, and they're saying on WWE.com that he's not going to be there, and Shaq isn't talking about it anymore, and The Big Show is building up a feud with Cody Rhodes on TV, you think it's still going to involve Shaq and that WWE.com, for no reason, is just trying to work their fans? I thought Meltzer said that Shaq did mention this morning on Mike and Mike that he was wrestling at Mania? Wouldn't be the first time WWE.com worked the fans.

The rumor is Beth vs Trish. I'd much rather see Beth vs Kharma though. I was planning on making the trip down to Miami but decided to go to the Smackdown in Orlando instead. Hope DGUSA is still making the Orlando show that Thursday.

Royal Rumble, MITB, EC "Elevation" debate
Tim Evans replied to NintendoLogic's topic in Pro Wrestling
Bryan/Sheamus will probably open the show like Del Rio/Edge last year. I like the Rumble just because it's the one ppv that they really haven't changed much. Good thing they scaled it back to 30 this year after 40 last year. -
The Wrestlemania 29 Early Spring NY Weather Disaster Prediction Thread
Tim Evans replied to Bix's topic in Pro Wrestling
I remember during the Orlando Mania, it was raning and they in fact had a big tent over the ring.
