  1. Wolfie and Bill together after the feud they had was just wrong. Luckily, Bill turned back babyface shortly after this.
  2. You think they would have done Angle/Taz if Angle had stayed? It's interesting the hear non fucked up Angle doing commentary.
  3. I was surprised at how many times someone ran in to break up a submission. Didn't think they did that in Battlarts? Other than that, I really enjoyed this match. Otsuka was really outstanding with his suplexes and Ono/Ikeda were just total dicks.
  4. I always liked the finish cause it was in the great Extreme warfare commercial. Was it stupid and dangerous? Sure but that was ECW at the time.
  5. The ending to the match was disappointing. Did they really need to have Giant come down? Dibiase and Nick Patrick were enough I thought. Plus it made Savage look weak again. No wonder he joined the NWO a couple months later. As for the Hogan/Piper thing, it was good for 5 minutes till Piper started to ramble.
  6. I really liked this match with Steiner and Muto mocking the other guys. A motivated Rick Steiner is always good. That finish was rough looking though. Thought Nakaishi broke his neck on that ddt.
  7. Instead of gay jokes, now it seems they are pulling the race card.
  8. From the September 18th 1989 Observer: Someone needs to find that song and put it on one of the Schneider comps or something.
  9. Is this the last time Sting talked for a year or so?
  10. I enjoyed this but probably not as much as Loss. It was kinda slow to get into but the Dueling Belly to Belly suplexes ruled. The thing that hurts it is the dead crowd. I know that's what they are known for but it's still annoying.
  11. The final 5 minutes of this might be my favorite thing about this set. Liger as Muta was just awesome.
  12. The JR stuff would have been alright if it didn't last the whole match.
  13. This wasn't as good as the King of the Ring match but I liked it. I always thought that Mankind won this match but he didn't.
  14. Tommy Dreamer with the wrestling staple fanny pack is funny.
  15. Favorite Clash Matches: Steiners vs Hughes/Vader Midnights vs Fantastics Vader/Rude vs Sting/Flair Barry Windham vs 2 Cold The first match was just all Steiners throwing Vader and Hughes around like cruiserweights. Haven't seen Vader/Rude vs Sting/Flair in a while but I remember really like Rude in that match. My favorite moment was probably Harley Race and Paul Orndorff turning on Barbarian because he was friends with Cactus Jack. That or Doc/Gordy taking out the Puerto Rican team.
  16. Apparently Michael Cole dropped a gay slur on Josh Matthews on Twitter today. I'm surprised Cageside Seats isn't all over this story. A podcast should be made.
  17. I'll give them credit for going 60 minutes and not having a boring match. They did some great things and Kawada's selling was great. Having said that, this was tough to watch. 60 minutes is way too long for this style.

  19. Devil has a Jaw only Inoki would love. My god, what great facial expressions she has like Loss said. Kyoko continues to impress me in this match. She plays a great FIP and Kansai/Kong just destroy her. Good match.
  20. This is why I love the Yearbook concept so much. I would have never even heard of this match if not for this set. Great match the blended so many styles: Memphis, Lucha, Puro, Joshi, Comedy etc. I really liked the Joshi girls. Especially Bolshoi. She hit her moves great and I loved the spot where I guess it's Candy stretched her mask for a rope break. I like that it didn't overdue the comedy but wasn't serious about it. Nice find.
  21. This was such a great match. Probably the best I've ever seen Muta look. He was such a prick here and Tenyru played his role great. Just a fun match.
  22. I gotta agree with Loss. Toyota looked pretty bad and slopping in this match. It's like she gets worse as the year goes on. And the deal with the tin box was just stupid.
  23. I didn't even know Rey and Psicosis wrestled for WAR after they went to WCW? The first match was better but I liked this one. It felt more like a WCW crusierweight match on Saturday Night than a exhibition.
  24. I'm reading some old Observers from 1989 and Dave brings up how some fans at the World Class tv tapings kept booing Eric Embry and Chris Adams and they snapped and kicked out those fans. Did any of this ever make tv? Dave's JYD type hatred for Embry is a little weird.
