  1. Pretty sure if Steel gets fired, Punk bolts anyway. And if he doesn't relinquish the title willingly, then Tony makes a new belt and puts it on whoever he wants like when Mox was interim champ. It's not 1997 anymore, if the champ wants to fuck around, he can find out. To me it's a choice between your top draw who's also a problem causing moody-ass 43 year old who rubs everyone the wrong way, or the guys who helped start your company who are younger and you could get more out of in the long term. From a numbers standpoint alone, it seems like canning Punk is a "might sting in the short term, better play for the long term" move. Plus appearing to side with the guy nearly everyone else you employ seems to hate is not a good HR move.
  2. IMO I would suspend the Bucks (they were provoked into responding but they still should have known better) and fire Punk/Steel. As for Kenny that would come down to if he was there to fight, or just trying to break things up and got swallowed up into the melee.
  3. I mean, Punk pretty much has to be fired, or at the very least put on ice for a long time. It's one thing to verbally roast your bosses but once you start laying hands on people there has to be consequences. I know he's a big draw, but if you don't draw the line and regain control you're in 2000 WCW territory.
  4. Honestly I don't think Bron, Grayson, or Melo should be taking advice from either guy. Not the guy who ripped apart his company live at a presser, or the Q pilled weirdo who wants to challenge everyone to a fight.
  5. Paul seems to have a bit of that "you told me to go fuck myself, I respect that" thing that Vince was famous for. Plus perhaps now that he finally secured the keys to the kingdom he realized he doesn't need to be paranoid someone is going to steal his spot and bigfoot them.
  6. You know, in retrospect we should have all seen the guy who's been doing a lengthy remake of Bret's greatest hits to eventually getting to "shoot fight in the locker room with a hated rival".
  7. I legit think Miz is the greatest sports entertainer ever. At least of any that I have seen. Dude does WWE style better than anyone else has. Put him with anyone and he finds a way to make it work.
  8. HAHAHA Ciampa has Miz doing the clap and back pat, this rules
  9. It would actually be pretty funny if Miz started requesting all his matches be inside a cage so the serial killer stalking him doesn't kidnap him again.
  10. Hey, sometimes dudes can outkick their coverage. Maybe he has an amazing personality.
  11. Iyo giving off those "woman you'd gladly go home with fully aware she plans to kill you" vibe and I'm here for it.
  12. Miz and Sarah interactions are getting as good as the Kayla/Heyman ones.
  13. How bad do you think Paul wants to run out on stage with a mic and just scream I TOLD YOU SO over and over?
  14. Praise be to Corey for working in a reference to our lowly Pirates as a regular move call.
  15. KO's angry promos have that Mick Foley-esque "nice friendly guy gets pissed off and it's kinda scary" vibe and I love it.
  16. BTW I totally get not liking the booking here, but also it's Braun. The fuck else you gonna do, y'know? Also I think there could still be some legs in Braun. He could be the next one for Roman to slay while we wait for Cody's boob to heal.
  17. BTW missed opportunity when Rhea told Rey that Dom wasn't his anymore to follow up with BECAUSE HE'S MINE NOW.
  18. Also holy shit do I want Dom and Rhea do the Eddie/Chyna deal now.
  19. I love how Raquel's gimmick is being the buff chick, but I bet Rhea would smoke her in a pose off.
  20. You know what, good for Braun. He got done dirty, he didn't do anything wrong he only lost his job because Vince got buyer's remorse over signing him to a big contract. Dude is a choad IRL, but he didn't deserve that.
  21. That reminds me, another WWE Brain symptom is either ignoring Japan exists or when they do pretending that nothing happening there matters. You can dislike Omega all you want but you can't deny he was a big part of New Japan coming back from the Dark Times and getting big (non papered) New Japan crowds. Also the Bucks made ROH as relevant as they ever would be, so again trying to claim they never drew a time is just disingenuous. You can dislike them all you want, but the moment someone tries to claim those guys never drew a time you can discount anything else they say.
  22. It's funny that Kenny got sucked in to all this, as there's a poster on the WO board who's a Canadian indy promoter who mentioned Kenny used to get shit from the veterans when he was starting up and he never said a word even when he would have every right to tell them to GFY.
  23. Wasn't there stories of Fish being kind of a weirdo in NXT (other than him supporting the orange racist ref)? I seem to recall some murmurings of that.
  24. I suppose the one thing that press conference established is that everyone's assumptions were right and everyone there hates Punk and Rosa. Toni Storm was able to just shit all over Rosa and her injury claims and no one batted an eye at that.
  25. Details of the backstage dust up are coming out, seems like Punk came in swinging at the Bucks, Ace Steel hit one of them in the eye with a chair and either tried or did bite Kenny when he was pulling them apart. You'd think if nothing else Tony would have to suspend Punk based on the precedent he set with Kingston, let alone what kind of legal fallout there may be. Also it's funny in all this how beloved Adam Cole is, since Punk took the time to put him over in the middle of lightning the rest of the company on fire.
