I mean he is at the same level as Jade in the sense it's not like he should be doing 45 minute main events anytime soon, but as a debut match it went as well as anyone could have hoped and then some. Fuego made him look like a million bucks and he came off as someone who is a badass fighter who while new at this seems to be adept at it.

His body basically fell apart on him. He barely made it to the Page match since it got pushed back due to Hangman going on paternity leave. Dude has been working at an insane level since 2016, something was going to give eventually. Also yes, AEW is his bread and butter so that's going to be the promotion he puts priority on if push comes to shove. The idea that AAA is being played like Impact was just doesn't hold water.
-
Omega vs Vikingo was going to be the main event because Kenny requested it, he really wants the match to happen and there's no reason to believe it won't happen at the next big show after he returns AAA has been working with AEW since the start, and they've already had all the EVPs work big shows for them. This isn't a deal like TK working Impact because he wanted to do the belt collector gimmick for Kenny.

Vikingo won because they want to do the money match with Omega when he comes back.

AAA likes having their titles on US TV. It hasn't ever turned into any measurable business for them, but they see it as a win especially since the lawsuit that is keeping them from airing on US TV.

Dave mentioned that Jeff "wasn't right" even before the match (in response to Garrett saying at first he thought it look like he got his bell rung), which begs the question why the FUCK was he allowed in the ring? They fired Arn for allowing Alica Fox to get in the ring messed up, so they have a track record for not putting up with that kind of nonsense.

Fightful did a story on Hook and said everyone was raving about him in training, like he was the type who on his first day people were saying he already "got it".
-
Also between Hook and Jungle Boy, if AEW doesn't start producing those 80s style posters of them then they are just leaving piles of money on the table.
-
TK just sent out the ALL ELITE graphic for Hook already, real recognize real.

Fenix is just on another plane of existence than the rest of us.

I figured it would be a no brainer for Tony to lend a hand here. It's a no lose situation, he gets the pub for being a bro helping out ROH save what potentially is their last show ever, guys on his payroll get to pay their respects, and maybe he gets the All In rights as a thank you gift.

I really enjoyed Gargano as the overprotective dad in The Way. The fact that that was also limiting his in ring time was probably not a coincidence. To he fair, it wasn't all his fault. It seems like the whole time he was in NXT was one long match against Ciampa. I was so tired of that feud I never wanted to see him in the ring again. I highly suspect that wherever he ends up he will be fun to watch in the ring again very soon.

It was just announced Stardom again will have a match on Wrestle Kingdom this year, that would be a fun place to announce a new signing.

It seems like it's becoming pretty obvious amongst WWE folks that if you are serious about your career and want to become a big star, then your best bet is to go elsewhere since Vince has made it abundantly clear he has absolutely no idea how to create any new stars.
-
Honestly kinda shocked, I figured at this stage in life he'd become a coach at the PC but apparently he feels he's not done in the ring yet (and WWE would not be the place to be if he wants that).
-
They should totally play up HOOK as the "you done fucked up now" move for Team Taz. Pull a swerve? YOU GETTIN THE HOOK NOW.
-
IIRC it was the promise of having Ronda as a weekly character that made the FOX deal and....welp.

This whole story is just so weird, from the incident itself to everyone's reaction to it, to WWE moving so quickly to release him, to all the WWE people going to Twitter sharing their stories about how universally loved Jeff is (usually WWE people never comment so specifically on releases like that), it just seems like there's still more to this story than what has come out so far.
-
On paper it would be fun but then too many dummies would be making comparisons of Fiend Alexa.
-
MJF getting babyface reactions was so weird feeling but in a good way if that makes any sense.
-
Punk also is a fan of Bret to the point he was openly cribbing large portions of his matches recently, so it makes sense he's go all "Canadian hero in the US" here.
-
He's legit a huge hockey fan and the Islanders do suck so I suppose he couldn't resist the low hanging fruit.
-
I love it, Punk sees Bryan having fun being an asshole and is like "hold my Pepsi"

I would think Xavier's future probably depends if he's going to bend the knee (see what I did there) or not. All those outside projects he's doing and standing up for himself with the UUDD thing is either going to give them the ultimate respect from Vince (since he seems to only do that for folks that tell him GFY) or he'll get buried to the core of the Earth for daring to think he can be a star.
