  1. I love how it seems Brock's current gimmick is just him wearing wackier outfits like he's daring someone to say something about it.
  2. I figured it would be a no brainer for Tony to lend a hand here. It's a no lose situation, he gets the pub for being a bro helping out ROH save what potentially is their last show ever, guys on his payroll get to pay their respects, and maybe he gets the All In rights as a thank you gift.
  3. I really enjoyed Gargano as the overprotective dad in The Way. The fact that that was also limiting his in ring time was probably not a coincidence. To he fair, it wasn't all his fault. It seems like the whole time he was in NXT was one long match against Ciampa. I was so tired of that feud I never wanted to see him in the ring again. I highly suspect that wherever he ends up he will be fun to watch in the ring again very soon.
  4. It was just announced Stardom again will have a match on Wrestle Kingdom this year, that would be a fun place to announce a new signing.
  5. It seems like it's becoming pretty obvious amongst WWE folks that if you are serious about your career and want to become a big star, then your best bet is to go elsewhere since Vince has made it abundantly clear he has absolutely no idea how to create any new stars.
  6. Honestly kinda shocked, I figured at this stage in life he'd become a coach at the PC but apparently he feels he's not done in the ring yet (and WWE would not be the place to be if he wants that).
  7. They should totally play up HOOK as the "you done fucked up now" move for Team Taz. Pull a swerve? YOU GETTIN THE HOOK NOW.
  8. IIRC it was the promise of having Ronda as a weekly character that made the FOX deal and....welp.
  9. This whole story is just so weird, from the incident itself to everyone's reaction to it, to WWE moving so quickly to release him, to all the WWE people going to Twitter sharing their stories about how universally loved Jeff is (usually WWE people never comment so specifically on releases like that), it just seems like there's still more to this story than what has come out so far.
  10. On paper it would be fun but then too many dummies would be making comparisons of Fiend Alexa.
  11. MJF getting babyface reactions was so weird feeling but in a good way if that makes any sense.
  12. Punk also is a fan of Bret to the point he was openly cribbing large portions of his matches recently, so it makes sense he's go all "Canadian hero in the US" here.
  13. He's legit a huge hockey fan and the Islanders do suck so I suppose he couldn't resist the low hanging fruit.
  14. I love it, Punk sees Bryan having fun being an asshole and is like "hold my Pepsi"
  15. I would think Xavier's future probably depends if he's going to bend the knee (see what I did there) or not. All those outside projects he's doing and standing up for himself with the UUDD thing is either going to give them the ultimate respect from Vince (since he seems to only do that for folks that tell him GFY) or he'll get buried to the core of the Earth for daring to think he can be a star.
  16. I will say there is tons of car crash appeal in watching this "what an old man thinks Zoomers are into " era WWE is in.
  17. I mean, indirectly they do. If the viewership goes completely in the shitter, it would have some effect on how much TV money they can get.
  18. Like, imagine if the payoff for the Hangman angle was Kenny cheating to win and the PPV closed on angry Page fans in the crowd. It's like WWE isn't even bothering to keep up the appearance of giving a shit about their fans at this point.
  19. It's a shame, they built the whole match on Becky repeatedly saying Liv does nothing but fail and then the payoff yet again was the plucky babyface failing and sad facing in the ring afterwards. Yet I'm sure the lesson learned for this will be "well god damn, we can't push Liv she's a flop". "Smiles on faces" everyone!
  20. A lot of times foreigners get targeted for stuff like that with the idea they'll be too scared to refuse/not know where to turn for help. Jack's been around Mexico so he knows the deal so that's why he put it out there in case news comes out he got arrested. Funny thing is these cops must not know who he is or that his US boss could get him out of the country in a private jet within the hour if needed and his Mexico boss is almost certainly no more than 2 degrees of separation at most from some dudes that can cause way more damage than trying to extort some gringos.
  21. Matt mentioned he has spoken to Jeff and he's at home safe so at least there's that much.
  22. Bron's only had like 10-11 total matches to date, him being as good as he is so soon is frankly ridiculous. It's just so annoying and so typically WWE that they have to make a thousand references to his family and legacy but are never allowed to mention it directly. Like they are supposed to be trying to draw the hip young crowd while calling Bron the "Big Bad Booty Nephew" and no one they are targeting would have the faintest clue what they were talking about.
  23. Since Happy Corbin is already doing his gimmick on the main roster, the only thing that would await Grimes on the main roster is a career killing repackaging.
  24. The best value Gargano could have had for AEW would be the symbolism of the heart of NXT jumping ship to the superior show, but then WWE kinda squashed that by redoing the whole brand. Instead of having the hottest name like Cole walk in like a megastar on day one, Johnny's spend the last few months looking like the guy at the club not aware he looks too old to be there.
  25. TBH becoming a coach seems like the best possible option for Johnny too. He's smart enough to know he'll never get a fair shot on the main roster and he's clearly not a fit for the direction they want NXT to go. Getting a coaching gig is right in his wheelhouse and as stated getting the bennies is nice too.
