  1. I love the idea that Tony is so lovable, being mean to him is almost cheap heat.
  2. They need to feature her prominently in the Rampage debut. if it's anything folks here in Pittsburgh love to do it's cheering other people from Pittsburgh.
  3. Man, Hangman is so over when he finally wins the title whatever building they are in is going to explode.
  4. Man, I just love watching wrestling in front of real live fans again. I know AEW had Daily's but being in real arenas again makes it feel official.
  5. I know the forbidden door is open and all, but it's still weird for me to see an IWGP title defended in an American promotion on national TV.
  6. Having a bad match with Shelton would have to be caused by injury or sandbagging.
  7. ...and if various rumors/reports are to be believed most people on the main roster other than the tippy top guys would rather be in NXT instead.
  8. ROH used a lot of their no crowd pandemic TV time to do personality profiles on a lot of different people. Like anywhere from a quarter to a third of each episode would be devoted to a video package/interview where you hear someone telling their story and getting themselves over.
  9. I thought so too, especially how they had him drop the NA title out of nowhere when they were building up other feuds. I'm guessing Vince saw him and had the Scott Steiner reaction (He's fat!!!).
  10. Dave tweets a presale code for an upcoming WWE show: crickets Dave tweets a presale code for the AEW show at Arthur Ashe Stadium like five minutes later: "HOPE YOU ENJOY THAT PAYCHECK FROM TONY, UNCLE DAVE" I'm honestly surprised Dave hasn't started just straight up cussing out these morons.
  11. This seems the most likely scenario. Take everything away from Kross to "prove" he can't hack it on the main roster, then pair Scarlett up with someone they see as more worthy.
  12. It wasn't leaving early though, it was leaving after the main event. My dude in the tweet just needed to tell the world how disrespectful he thought it was for anyone to not enjoy whatever they get fed by Uncle Paul.
  13. The Breakout tourney match was like WWE in a nutshell: Jiro seems like the money guy here, he has charisma and a gimmick designed to engage with fans....exactly what you'd want....and WWE puts over the Tall Bland Interchangeable White Guy who they already had two brief forgettable appearances on the main roster.
  14. I was a little nervous about Omos having a singles match on live TV, but it was......okay? Not a five star classic for sure but was an acceptable Mean Big Man Match.
  15. Morrison and Rico are proving themselves to be one of those "dudes who can't have a bad match together" pairings. Hopefully it opens some eyes that Morrison is capable of more than being a wacky sidekick that they seem to have slotted him into like it was still the MNM days.
  16. Yeah they had great matches in LU and it's continuing in this feud. Also I love how disheveled, possibly drunk, raging Lashley still had impeccable suit game. No way to bottle up that much swag.
  17. Saw someone mention Alexa Bliss's gimmick makes sense if you think of it as an adult version of Angelica from Rugrats and I couldn't stop laughing. Also Eva going all "where's Lexi?" after she disappeared cracked me up. The great thing about Eva is that her calling someone by their shoot name could both be an actual brainfart on her part or be exactly the thing her character would do.
  18. Best in the World was a pretty good show. Crowd was kinda sparse but I think part of that was due to COVID restrictions. Still was miles better than an empty arena show for sure. Dragon Lee winning the TV belt back seemed like a reset since I don't think he was supposed to ever lose the title to begin with (he had surgery on his eardrum and couldn't travel), but I loved seeing Bandito get the world title. The post match stuff seemed a little...no pun intended...rushed, but that was probably the cost of doing business to get Rush to do a clean job.
  19. One of the interesting parts of getting older is seeing this happen multiple times in my lifetime. I've already seen the D&D Satanic Panic, obscene lyrics in music panic. violent video games panic, terrorist hiding in every bush panic (at least that one had some basis in reality with 9/11 happening), and now its anti mask/vax panic spilling over into nonsense like qanon. It's like there's a section of the population that has to be in constant fear of......something...... at all times.
  20. I used to be into comics, but it got so hard to follow the storylines. Between yearly reboots and having to buy a million different books to get the entire story, it's like comics are stuck in a Groundhog Day loop.
  21. Honestly, he seems like any other person who went so deep into his hobby he sees anything that challenges what he's comfortable with as a personal attack. I see it all the time in the gaming world, and comics might be the worst when it comes to that. People completely tie their identity into their hobby/obsession and they end up losing themselves.
  22. I would imagine they will need to be calling up some NXT women to fill the ranks. I suppose Becky is returning soon, but they are embarrassingly thin on the main roster right now.
  23. He's built up his brand by saying AEW is damaging to wrestling while making derogatory statements toward the people involved. I'm not saying Jim specifically sat down and decided to invoke violence, but he should have considered the effect the shit he says has on people who are fervent believers, let alone someone who might be mentally ill. Reminds me a lot of a certain other person who says shit to rile up his followers then is seemingly surprised when they in fact get riled up.
  24. I saw it mentioned they should put Bayley on commentary so she and Pat can just troll Michael Cole for two hours, and I don't hate that idea. Unfortunately WWE likes to make injured people vanish off the face of the earth so they can have a surprise return.
  25. They were doing mandatory training to get ready to go back on the road, and it was apparently a freak injury during a chain wrestling segment. As silly as the methods at the PC are, this looks like it was just a "shit happens" situation.
