Edge I believe had another surgery on his neck that wasn't an option at the time when he retired that improved his situation (not that I think he should be taking bumps now). Christian got iced for too many concussions so I wonder what changed with him.

He's facing Kaz, so I'm sure the match itself will be good. Honestly I'm still wondering how Christian got cleared after being on the no contact list for so long. Say what you will about WWE, but they usually don't mess around with head and neck injuries.

Also this might be the week Miro finally murders Kip, so there's that to look forward to.

I don't know if it will necessarily die, but I doubt it will be the highest segment of the show. There's always a curiosity factor when someone who was in one promotion for a long time has their first match in a new one. Kenny/Good Brothers vs Lucha Bros/Laredo Kid will be a banger for sure, and cubsfan pointed out the irony that there will be more AAA champions in this match (Kenny and Laredo) than what was on AAA's last taping.

Yeah, from an outsider's perspective it seemed like Baba ran a smooth ship and kept whatever turmoil that did happen under lock and key. That's good for the company, but I would imagine it's a boring subject for anyone looking to write a book or do a podcast about. I would imagine there's a lot of "X wanted to do something wacky and/or get more power in the company but Baba got word and squashed it" that went on.

He wasn't entirely wrong since it was still a major source of income, but the tide was quickly turning from making money on live shows to making money on TV and PPVs. Neither one was a thing in his heyday, but he clearly didn't get with changing times either.

There's also the issue of Cornette, who when he's not rolling in the mud being a troll is one of that era's top historians, not being a fan of the guy. It's understandable since him not seeing value in the Midnights would hurt Jim's bottom line as well, but it's something that doesn't always seem to be taken into account by people who read his opinions in a history context.

They mentioned in the press release they expect higher ratings on Tuesdays due to piggybacking off the momentum of RAW which is such a WWE thing to say for multiple reasons. I mean, what else are they gonna say and all,. but LOL none the less.
