    Jericho tries to present his show as a more educated Joe Rogan Podcast where he's just presenting different viewpoints that he doesn't necessarily endorse, but he's clearly right leaning at best and closet MAGA brained at worse. I can buy Rogan's just a curious dope who doesn't challenge the people he interviews, Jericho is purposefully pretending to be that to have plausible deniability when he has someone particularly odious on his show.

    I mean, yeah, but that's been a Vince trademark forever. Look at how Terry Taylor went from an up and coming young babyface pushed as a draw for young female fans to being turned into an all time career ending gimmick. He turned One Man Gang into an embarrassingly racist gimmick just to make fun of the competition's booker, then ended up signing the guy they were making fun of to try to humiliate him too.

    To the vast majority of folks Vince is just the wacky rasslin man who tried to run a football league and is BFFs with Trump. Plus while I expect it to be covered because it would be too obvious a whitewash to ignore completely, I fully expect anything involving the sex/steroid scandals to be boiled down to "the government had it out for poor small businessman Vince and his family company".

    Knowing Vince, I would pretty much guarantee he felt Smothers and Anthony were too "southern rasslin'' but at the same time realized they were the type of guys the competition at the time could use to program potential new stars with. I suppose Vince might have felt some kind of threat from Smoky Mountain being bankrolled by a famous record producer, as he tends to when he thinks there's someone who might be able to compete with him financially.

    Not only that, but he was also presumably with the Bachelorette girl (or at least he was pursuing her) after proposing as well. I know his gimmick is that he's a lothario, but they do it so heavy handed (like everything in WWE) it comes off as comedy.

    Aussie Rules was always my go to 2am TV appointment viewing. Also apparently the real Tony Modra is none to happy over these developments.

    As someone who's wife battles with anxiety on a regular basis, I can sympathize with how much it sucks for someone like her who is really good at a thing that also seems to be a trigger for her. I wouldn't be surprised if she popped up on an indie show here and there occasionally, wresters never fully retire until they die after all, but it's clear at this point that working for a major promotion just isn't in the cards for her. At least it's been nice to see people in the business supporting her on social media, if nothing else as a reminder that sometimes pro wrestling as an industry isn't always complete shit.

    I for one am kind of looking forward to the familiar predictability of RAW continually stepping on their own dicks before the hellscape that gets unleashed tomorrow. I kind of feel like a condemned man at peace with his fate and in full "fuck it, lets see what happens" mode.

    I'll never get why Billy Travis got pushed as much as he did. Jeff is understandable for obvious reasons and he at least eventually grew into his push, but Billy was Just A Guy his entire career but always seemed to have a role higher on the card than his talent would seem to warrant.

    If you can judge a person by the impact they left on others, Tracy was a great guy.     I for one look forward to him being promoted to the main roster and renamed Herman Finkelbottom just so they can have him sign a new deal to shut down his Twitch. I'm only half joking since we all know they are more than petty enough to do that.

    Also it's something to see everyone shutting down their Twitch and apparently a meeting is scheduled for today. It would be both such a 2020 thing and such a WWE thing if after all the bullshit it's streaming video games that finally was the last straw for people.

    It actually was the better show IMO at least, but yeah I'm sure the nostalgia was the big draw here.

    I seem to recall CM Punk saying when he was in WWE his contract gave the company rights to his name in terms of exclusive rights to merchandising and whatnot, but that he still had ownership of the name itself.I can't imagine WWE would give special dispensation to someone as....shall we say.....prickly as Punk, so if they really had Dusty over a barrel like that it makes it even more sad (and kind of explains why Cody is so hellbent on getting his IP back).

    WWE can't possibly own Dusty's name can they? He used it before ever going to WWE or any company WWE purchased.
