So Bryan mentioned in an interview that he wasn't actually cleared to return to wrestle until the day before his first match back. That doesn't seem to be the thing you want to say when there's already stories out about how mickey mouse your training staff/doctors are.
-
I would also assume Dusty had gastric bypass, he has the gaunt look people tend to get afterwards due to dropping a lot of weight quickly. A co worker of mine recently had it done and he went from over 500 pounds to around 300 in less than a year and he has the same look.

Topically related, Russo's time in TNA shouldn't be overlooked when considering his body of work. One of the main reasons the company is looked at as the terminally running in place zombie it became is how he completely booked it into the ground when there was a time (a brief one, but still) where there could have been something there.
-
I noticed this too, it's like they can't help pointing out how much better he is in all aspects.
-
So how exactly is having both guys act heelish supposed to get Reigns and Bryan more over?
-
That really has been the biggest plot hole of the last year, Bryan had to be stripped in storyline because you can't have the belt not be defended regularly, yet that's exactly what's been happening the last year. They don't seem to realize that either, since they had Cena make the threat to hold the title hostage if he won it.

Wow, it's not going to help Hunter's rep in the business world when WWE has to post a job that more or less breaks down to "do the Executive VP's job for him 24/7 while he pretends he is the one doing all the work". Not to mention there's no way whoever gets that job makes it two years before burning out and/or running into the street screaming from stress.

Cracking up while booking this in my mind right now. They finally find Sting and tie him up only to find it's really Old Man Jenkins wearing a mask.
-
Yeah I know he lost a lot of weight, but that's one of the silly things that WWE is hung up on that doesn't matter to literally anyone else but is vitally important to them.

It's weird to me that Corbin is getting the push he is, since he doesn't seem to have anything going for him other than being tall. Even that might just be an optical illusion from being around smaller guys in NXT. His physique is weird (someone pointed out it looks like his stomach has a mouth and now I can't unsee it), and it looks like his hair is thinning on top. Those seem like things that wouldn't pass the Kevin Dunn test on the main roster, which makes it odd he's being pushed so hard.
-
Sometimes I wonder if Kevin Dunn goes around tearing down NXT posters so Vince never sees them and realize how nearly the entire roster there is better than the almost everyone in WWE. There's going to be a point where he slips up and Vince ends up watching a Finn Balor match, and ends up launching ol' Kev into the sun when he suggests giving him a leprechaun gimmick on Raw.

Anyone else get the feeling Zayn and Steen are going to end up being this generation's Flair/Steamboat? It seems no matter where they end up the result is great matches.
-
Funny this thread comes up when I was just watching 95-96 Raws and thinking about what Waltman's career would have been like if he wasn't injured. Both guys were capable of great matches, but Arn was a top five promo of all time so that will give him the edge in my book.

Someone actually asked HHH about it on the NXT conference call and he just brushed it off as a personal matter. I'd wager Hunter would be more upset at the pics of the NXT trainee getting out than Seth's. He probably sat him down and said "next time can you try fucking someone other than one of my girls please?".
-
After Raw, it almost seems like WWE is saying if fans won't accept our guy lets be petty and kill all the steam their guy has so no one gets over.
-
Fuck's sake Johnny, we all know that. Just enjoy the humor of the timing.

Well, I think we all know the difference between getting hacked and doing a porn movie where you get anal dp'd by guys dressed up as Cena and Mean Gene. Lol I don't know if it was a hack as much as his girlfriend/fiancee found nude pics of another woman on his phone and decided to go nuclear in response.

How funny is it the week after HHH stated Chyna can't go in the HOF due to googling resulting in porn, googling for Seth Rollins brings up dick pix and tattooed boobs.

Wrestling Observer Recap: 2/19/1996 - Cover Story Only

I would assume both were being courted, with Hall signing first and Nash using that as leverage to get himself a better deal (which makes me think the $450k offer mentioned was probably the correct one). -
Word is NBC is pretty pissed at him but there's nothing they can do since he just signed a big money deal and there's no one being groomed as the successor. If that's the case they probably won't get mad at WWE for making fun of him.
-
I would imagine it would be just Vince humor, having an admitted liar do a Breaking News bit on someone admitting to telling a lie. Being a star and all that.
-
I know the CMLL world heavyweight title doesn't mean that much, but it's still kind of amazing that in all of wrestling the first father/son combo to win the same world title is Super Porky and Maximo.

OK, serious question time...what does HHH do on NXT? I know it's his pet project, but how much of a hand does he actually have in running the thing. I know he's got a much broader scope of what kind of talent he's willing to bring into the company. That goes back to him hiring Mistico and Amazing Kong, and I'll give him full credit for that, despite how those two panned out. But the actual NXT product that we see...how much of that is actually him? Look, if HHH takes over for Vince, surrounds himself with guys like Ryan Ward, and tells them, "I'm gonna go hit the gym, you guys take care of shit around here, don't screw anything up", I would be perfectly OK with that. And that very well may be the model he aims for when he takes over (whether or not circumstances allow that to happen is another story). But just last year, HHH followed up a legitimately selfless loss to Daniel Bryan at Mania by main eventing a pair of PPVs against one of the hottest acts in the company while Bryan was buried in the midcard against Kane, and then followed that up by splitting up said hot act for no good reason whatsoever so one of it's members could spend the rest of the year palling around with him. Am I really to believe Kevin Dunn held HHH at gunpoint and forced him to put himself in high profile angles at the expense of hotter, better acts? Is that really so unlike HHH? Or do you agree with me that maybe the situation is a bit more complex than people are painting it as? Pretty sure he's backstage at tapings producing, he was the driving force behind the performance center they all train at. I don't assume he's up all night with NXT scripts fretting over match finishes, he probably tells Ryan Ward who he wants to push and approves the final results. He honestly comes off as Vince with far. far less micromanaging tendencies. That alone bodes well for the future of WWE, since that seems to be the driving factor behind the quick burnout time on the creative team.
-
Well what he does have more direct input on (NXT) has been demonstrably better than most other wrestling shows so we have that to grade him on. Of course they benefit from only being an hour a week, I'm sure NXT would be just as unbearable as Raw if it was 3 hours every week. I don't expect WWE to be drastically different if/when he takes over, there's still going to be an advantage to being a tall muscle guy after all, but just the fact that he seems to be willing to go out and find the best guys anywhere in the world is an upgrade.

Well it was 1981 South Africa so it wouldn't have been as over the top there as it is to us now.
