  1. Word is that WBD gave AEW a fat money deal, part of was making all their non ROH content exclusive. At least AEW TV is finally going to have the time it needs, and having to do a soft brand split means you have to use more people since there will be some folks not crossing party lines.
  2. Yup, and it's apparently why Miro and Rosa showed back up tonight.
  3. Is it just me or is Heel Bron just not clicking? It's just been the usual WWE "its the fans fault I turned heel" deal with Bron looking like he lost a fight with a tanning bed.
  4. Big Body Javi would have been great as a heel in the territory days in like, Memphis or World Class
  5. Thea Hail is a national treasure
  6. My goodness it look like Tiffany flattened poor Gigi on that forward roll deal.
  7. I suppose one match in front of a giant UK crowd is fine, worked safely. I just hope it doesn't lead to a full on comeback.
  8. Both sides look like they'll either go "former tag partners clash" or "former tag partners fuck each over so neither advance"
  9. Bracket dropped for the NXT women's title
  10. It always surprises me when I get reminded Dana Brooke is still around
  11. Well I guess we get "Cody's in Jacksonville, wink wink!" stuff all night
  12. Fuck Nintendo though for going after legit emulation tools because they're salty it leaked early like every other game that comes out because the original model Switch has an unfixable exploit.
  13. I know what you meant, but PR is part of the US. Also it's not like WWE doesn't scale prices based on market. They can't charge NYC prices in Bismarck SD, so I'm sure they could figure something out.
  14. They apparently got paid by the PR tourism board for the show, but I don't think they'd have a problem getting big houses running shows there. It's obviously still a hot wrestling market that's been starved for decades because the main promotion is run by the Puerto Rican Verne Gagne. If Im WWE, I drop a couple of the shows they run in bumfuck nowhere and add a couple dates for them.
  15. the Monday Night Wars' lingering effects make it 100x harder to get new stars over. After years of Raw and Nitro putting on Big Star vs Big Star matches every week to get the almighty RATINGS~! (rip DEAN), no one wants to see guys squash Joe from Accounting to establish their moveset and personality. It's tough to get a new face in the mix when you're only putting them up against other established stars.
  16. I know everyone hates Corey Graves, but I popped when he made a TNT reference when Savio came out
  17. In modern WWE? Probably not, but AAA does it all the time.
  18. The show was just fantastic, and it really illustrates the point on how much a hot crowd can add.
  19. My main takeaway from this show is how the fuck does WWE not go there more often? PR has such a long history, was doing hardcore when Paul E was taking pictures with the Grand Wizard and Captain Lou, and has rabid fans. If they don't make it a regular spot on their rotation it's leaving money on the table.
  20. Saw it pointed out that other than WCW/NJPW shows in North Korea that people were forced to attend, All In is the largest non WWE show in 60 years.
  21. lol @ Cody doing his catchphrase in Spanish, hardest working man in the biz
  22. Also PR crowds are fuckin dope.
  23. I've been doing Spanish lessons on Duolingo for a while now and I didn't know if they were helping or not until I was able to follow the banter between Rey and Dom.
  24. Funny how Santos and the LWO are being held up as positive roles for someone like Starks to strive for in WWE, when over in the WWE TV thread we all point out that the LWO has basically been booked as jobbers since they were put together. Their role has been to be cannon fodder so it doesn't look like Rey is fighting the JD by himself. As far as Ricky goes, while the size works against him he makes up for that in promo skills which is the key to getting over in WWE. He probably could hang at US/IC title level which is the most 95% of the roster can ever hope for anyway. It's clear to me that TK must have reason to believe he's good as gone since Ricky went from looking like the next big superstar of AEW to being put so far on ice he looks like Jack Torrance at the end of The Shining. Also I'm pretty sure the Pillars Tag didn't set the crowd on fire since it was pretty clear what the finish was going to be. Plus, as mentioned, Jungle Boy just doesn't come across as being as that Top Guy level yet (he would have been better served going after the TNT or International titles first to warm the fans up to the idea of him chasing a singles title).
