  1. There was no "kicking out." It was a Last Man Standing match. You had to get to your feet by a ten count or it was over. Flair just kept trying to get up until the sledgehammer shot. Goldberg, Nash, Warrior & Batista all come to mind as other people to kick out/no sell the Pedigree as well. I'm sure The Rock, Austin and probably Undertaker have as well.
  2. I'm reading the results as they're posted and trying to follow several threads at the same time so I can keep up to date with the happenings when they happen. That being said, it sounds like the negative crowd is reason enough for me to want to see this PPV. I sure hope the problems with PWTorrents get worked out soon.

    Carlito

Eh, he's just not a good worker. He can sell and bump well. Obviously he's a good talker. He's even got a good gimmick and an interesting, original look. He can be successful, he's just not going to be putting on unforgetable matches anytime soon. I don't think the comparison to an early Rock should be made simply because The Rock was more athletic than pretty much anyone, even when he was a terrible worker. I want to throw out that I don't think Shelton Benjamin is a great worker either. I see a lot of people talk about him in a positive light, the same way people talk about Carlito in a negative light, and I don't see it.
  4. I was under the assumption that Triple H called the match.
  5. I know my friend Eric marks out for Steiner. Hanging around with him when WCW was still in business, you had to hear about that shit all the time. I liked him during his solo push in WCW. That's about it. I do remember his WWE debut pop being monsterous though. Steiner + Roid Rage + Live Mic = Ratings! I think he could've been successful in WWE (again) had they just given him time to get his cardio back to where it was. It was obvious that he was suffering from ring rust and was probably too heavy too. They just instantly stuffed him into a feud with HHH and Hunter worked circles around him. It made Steiner look really bad. I kinda miss him though, to be honest.
  6. Just a general question but how come whenever anyone seems to mention WCW nowadays it's always in a negative light referring to the dying days? WCW provided me with many hours of great TV.
  7. Taz worked good as the ECW champ. Not to say that I'm pro WWE-champ Mysterio but Taz did grab and hold my attention in ECW. I even watched him win the title from The Franchise at Guilty As Charged. I think Taz is taller than Mysterio though. I think Rey is 5'5" & Taz 5'7". Of course, two inches isn't a big deal. That being said, no one thought Taz was a cruiserweight. Although, to add more fuel to the fire, Taz was almost as short at Rey and he won the World title. Taz also had a submission finisher that was played up as death.
  8. Am I the only person that won't have a problem with Orton getting another reign?
  9. The belt is bigger than Rey is.
  10. Knowing WWE, they'd give it to Lashley instead. He's green & a hoss. That means he brings more to the table than Booker T.
  11. I thought we could use a change of pace. A topic not associated to Eddie Guerrero's death. My vote is for James Gibson. Everything I saw from him this year has been fantastic. He put on a ton of great matches in ROH and his promos were money. I've always liked him but this year he's really stood out to me. Runner-up would probably be Samoa Joe.
  12. I managed to make it through the entire show without bawling. I had company over, so I had to fight back tears. It wasn't easy. When something came on that was hard to watch, I'd open up Firefox and act like I was doing something else so that I didn't have to look at the TV screen. Overwise, I'd have been over. Especially when Benoit broke down. Triple H & Stephanie McMahon got to me a lot too. It's too bad that this Raw had to occur because of such grave circumstances. All in all, it was a great show. Depressing, sad & emotional but it was a good show. Good matches, good commentary and heart-felt interviews.
  13. Eddie dying has made me wonder a few things. Since pro-wrestling is still frowned apon and laughed at by real sports fans/participants/broadcasters, I wonder if someone like Hulk Hogan or The Undertaker dying would have a big impact? It doesn't matter what wrestler it's ever been, the first things we read about are drug & steroid assumptions and a bunch of other BS. Colin Cowherd of ESPN radio even went so far as to say "who cares that he died? This isn't newsworthy" in regards to Guerrero. It's no wonder wrestling fans are so bitter and jaded. Whenever something like this happens, I get on the 'net and just read a bunch of ignorant fucks spewing ignorance towards the product as a whole. They act like wrestlers aren't real people or something. Eddie Guerrero was my favorite wrestler. Now what?
  14. I wonder if TNA has any interest in Jim Cornette? If they could get D'Amore & Borash off the writing team, Jarrett wouldn't be the Triple H of TNA anymore.
  15. I really liked the Taboo Tuesday cage match between Ric Flair and Triple H. I don't think it can compare with the top matches from the list, obviously, but I do think that it can compare with some of the listed matches. Like both Angle/Michaels matches.
  16. Sabu is already there. Heyman seems to be on the outs because Stephanie and Gerwitz are "out to get him." If Heyman shows up with Sabu already there, Rob Van Dam is only a matter of time away.
  17. You know what the worst part about the Angle promo was? He was obviously being very serious. He was talking about his relationship ending with tears in his eyes, as was pointed out earlier. So, what's WWE do? Later in the night, it becomes a "parody" almost with the censoring of the crowd. The commentators made a joke out of it. Just a wasted promo.
  18. It's even funnier when you consider that through all of that, she DID have enough time to do a random episode of fucking MTV's Punk'd.
  19. Like what Ron "The Truth" Killings should be in TNA instead of a dancing, rapper?
  20. Not a big shocker that Raw is mediocre although I will say Rudo's commentary makes it a little more interesting. Also, I haven't really liked her a lot in the past but Candice is getting hotter week after week. At least her body is. Her face is busted. I was hoping that Flair would job the title to Conway. It would've made sense. Conway is doing the whole "take out Legends" thing and them him and Eugene could've wrestled over gold. It's obvious that HHH doesn't care about the IC title, so why not make the switch? I marked out hard for the ALLLLLLLIEEEEEENS.
  21. Is there anyone in UFC that doesn't have a good armbar? Is there a such thing as a bad armbar? You either get it or you don't. Now, some guys are better at slappin' that bitch on than others, is that what you mean?
  22. Rudo and Curry are always shilling MMA over at TSM. In the past, they've recommended not watching wrestling because MMA was better. I've followed MMA for awhile but I've always watched wrestling for different reasons. If I'd never seen MMA before and Rudo and Curry shilled this show onto me, I'd forever be an MMA fan. It was that good. That being said, this was the best MMA show I've ever watched. I've seen a lot of K-1 and even more Pride. To me, this tops them all. Three amazing fights. Two of which I felt I had an emotional tie to thanks to the Ultimate Fighter season. Just a fabulous night. It completely blew me away. I can't give the show enough praise. My only knock being that Spike TV showed way too many commercials. If this were PPV, it would've easily been worth fifty bucks. I believe in two weeks is the next UFC PPV. After this show, I'll definitely be watching.
  23. Ya know, I'm not even in the business and when I read that paragraph, that's exactly when I lost interest in the article. It actually offended me, as a fan. Does he really believe that?
  24. I didn't realize that the promo's were scripted word for word like that.
  25. She'll be Raven's girlfriend in the storyline, then Haas will show up to take out Raven. That's my guess.
