  1. Ha ha ha
  2. He never won the big one did he!
  3. Is there anyway I can use him as my save?
  4. The thing is, I don't even know if I want Ted that much. WWF is a babyface territory.
  5. Kris, what is the status of Bruno at this time? He's not listed.
  6. Just another quick question, what are we doing with our regional titles? Blank slate for everyone? If I don't get Backlund in the draft, is the WWF title vacant? Just wondering how we'e explaining things in-storyline.
  7. Not much of a secret. Ha ha. I actually think the saved pick is a great idea by the way.
  8. That's true also, although the dips in monthly gates happened during the hot streak of 85-6 when he was closer to his AWA self.
  9. I think it's a fair point. Bruno did draw in Canada though. He was a mainstay for Frank Tunney, and shuttled between New York and Toronto for years. The point is really that Hogan only worked as a national draw. Vince was also pretty smart with his TV appearances, kept him special, always made sure that the people wanted more Hulk and didn't get burned out on him. And even then they did get burned out by 92. I don't know if you could go national with Bruno, but I do think he would have gotten over in pretty much any territory.
  10. Can I get clarification on something? Am I as WWF an NWA member?
  11. Probably Magnum TA. Not just the Tully match but vs. Wahoo and DiBiase too.
  12. Man, starting with Bobo Brazil as your save is brutal.
  13. Just give goc southwest and the new guy whatever else. If he asked for it first, he should get it.
  14. The question is less about individual female fans existing and more about, well this:- When do people think wrestling had the most female wrestling fans? - Why do you think those women came to the matches? What was over with them? - Why didn't they stay fans? How long were they fans for? - What do you think would be some ways to get similar fans now? If we're getting in a huff about those questions being answered, let's give it a go Hey there was no huff.
  15. I'm going to save Sgt. Slaughter.
  16. Just my two pennies, but I think we should do everything possible to keep goc involved. He's a good guy and if he's been playing TEW for five years I want to see him as a booker.
  17. Can't look beyond Flair or Jumbo here. But it's Flair who was in FIVE all-time Classic matches, and I haven't seen any of the steamer matches outside the trilogy. For Jumbo and Tenryu I have this: ***** Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Genichiro Tenryu (6/5/89) Jumbo Tsuruta & Yoshiaki Yatsu vs. Genichiro Tenryu & Stan Hansen (12/6/89) ****3/4 Jumbo Tsuruta & Kenta Kobashi vs. Genichiro Tenryu & Stan Hansen (7/15/89) Giant Baba & Rusher Kimura vs. Genichiro Tenryu & Stan Hansen (11/29/89) Tenryu actually in one more top end match than Jumbo. What are the other candidates like El Dandy or Colon putting against that? Since I don't think we're getting a PR set, I think I need to dig into that stuff soon. Stan Hansen currently trending #3 for me in my overall list and any greatness in PR will see him challenge top two.
  18. Couple of matches with Brad Armstrong including the Mr R deal. He's not really in contention for 84 I don't think. Unless someone knows about matches that made tape I haven't seen.
  19. I don't see either of them winning btw, just think they should be shortlisted as the two best workers in WWF for that year.
  20. Ted spent most of the year in GCW and All Japan. As I mentioned recently, the Magnum matches were a one shot.
  21. This dude: https://www.youtube.com/user/TellemHawk/videos He has that Kevin Sullivan in Florida comp on there, as well as the first 6 discs of an epic Ric Flair one. Plus some JCP stuff.
  22. Great chemistry as opponents. I might take a run at this soon to compare with OJ's findings (aka "The Gauntlet") a couple of years back.
