He's "light on his feet", "good with colours", "sensitive". Old man speak for using feminine stereotypes to call someone gay. You hear it a lot in pubs my way.

The grand and pathetic journey of the Undertaker at WrestleMania
ButchReedMark replied to El-P's topic in Pro Wrestling
Considering he's called Mr Wrestlemania I don't really rate much he's done at it. Him vs Flair raises ire for his hammy "acting", something he built upon vs Taker. Him "showing emotion" vs Ric Flair reminds me of Rik Mayall doing his tongue in cheek over egged acting bits in the Bottom Live shows.- 206 replies

They lucked into the streak didn't they? Wasn't Mark "GOAT" Henry meant to go over him until they realised he had a streak?- 206 replies

He's only had two minor hits in the UK. It turns out I'm still cool and with it and down with the kids. Now, where's my Billy Joel CD? -

Well, I am of Sunday officially past it. I didn't have a clue who he was. It'd been a good 35 years. -

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4

I've never really seen Wimbledon vs Liverpool as the upset of all upsets the media narrative pushes it as. It's worth remembering that Wimbledon had already finished 7th that season, and they'd drawn in the league that season too. It's not like they were no hopers going in. Now, Wrexham-Arsenal, there's an upset. -

HHH reminds me of someone. -
He wrestled in Wales too, as I went to watch him vs Fit Finlay at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre in April 1994. I was 9, so was gutted then The British Bulldog was some big eared bald fella I'd never heard of who was so skinny his arse didn't fill out his tights instead of Davey Boy. As was the rest of the crowd. No way to go out, really.

I love Lex Luger. Half the reason wrestlers knock him like fuck is because he was brighter than they were and realised his potential worth and made sure his contracts shown that. But he gets knocked to buggery by other wrestlers for it, and now lots of people watch wrestling and take it as gospel he was shite because people earning less than him said so. He was a far better worker than most too, as we all here know. He was streets ahead of Sting coming up, and then even in early 1996 and later on The Total Package stuff in 2000 or so he was a far more interesting and fun wrestler than most. I love me some Lex. Whereas Brody was a far bigger pain the arse and wasn't even that good a wrestler. But he's loved. I don't get it. -
If it Greatest as being relative to their development, or lack of it, Bam Bam Bigelow has to be up there doesn't he? I don't think he ever came near that first year stuff, especially in Mempho, and coasted on it for an entire career.

Can someone remind me why I watch wrestling please? I watch it far less but tonight's main made me realise why I watch it at all. It's strange, I can get on fine with the undead realm in impact all day, but throw Bray Wyatt in a ring and I feel like boiling my head in scalding hot battery acid with sugar thrown in there so it'll stick. Especially when it's with Randy Orton. We've gone from overhead projecter maggots to a burning AND BURNED TO DEATH Fiend. How will WWE top (lower) themselves next time Orton and Wyatt get it on? Especially SFX wise. I think only Manos Hands of Fate and The Curious Dr Hump have had worse effects and Dr Hump was essentially a (hilarious) softcore porno from Argentina in the 60s, so it gets a free pass.

Pfft. Everyone knows Ric Flair would be Hal Robson Kanu
