  1. Everyone who turned on Hogan was justified. I remember a thread here that extensively chronicled what an asshole the Hulkster was even to his friends.
  2. Anyone ever experience the Mandela effect with a match? It happened to me with Rick Rude vs. Ricky Steamboat at Superbrawl. I vividly remembered a spot where Rude hit Steamboat with a left-armed clothesline outside the ring and then sold his arm because it was the arm Steamboat had been working over. When I rewatched it recently, it turns out the spot took place inside the ring and was shot at a completely different angle from what I remembered. The spot on the outside at the correct angle was Rude guillotining Steamboat on the guardrail. I have no idea how I conflated the two in my head.
  3. https://variety.com/vip/vince-mcmahons-latest-scandals-jeopardize-wwes-entertainment-expansion-1235316193/ Good to see this isn't going away.
  4. Looks like business is about to pick up.
  5. That has to be a gimmicked skateboard and not one she rode around on. Still, epic fail.
  6. I don't know when bubba @KawadaSmile's birthday is, but the perfect gift for him dropped recently. https://shop.wwe.com/products/the-miz-my-balls-are-massive-t-shirt
  7. A former beer shop in my area had a server who liked to wear AJ Styles shirts.
  8. The closest I can think of is the cursed belt in FMW that killed whoever held it.
  9. WWE was forced to change the name of the Moolah Battle Royal due to pressure from corporate sponsors. And a pre-show battle royal is the smallest of potatoes compared to these allegations. Even SRS is saying Vince has to go.
  10. The Board of Directors might not be able to oust Vince, but Fox and NBC could. Live by the rights fee sword, die by the rights fee sword.
  11. In more tragic news, it turns out Woke Buff Bagwell was a sham.
  12. I say Dustin's best match was against Bunkhouse Buck at Spring Stampede.
  13. I'm pretty sure the last officially sanctioned bladejob in WWE was Jericho/HBK at the 2008 Bash. Batista got fined $100k for blading on Raw 800, which needless to say was sufficient deterrent for anyone thinking about going into business for themselves.
  14. Didn't Sheik nearly burn to death in FMW? Regardless, I have noticed a strong correlation, albeit an imperfect one, between the decline in forehead blading in wrestling and the dramatic increase in high-risk spots and bumps. It's probably something that warrants exploring in greater detail. By the way, Radiohead is a far superior band to Yes.
  15. The match wasn't even that competitive. Omega pinned the guy with a V-trigger for Pete's sake.
  16. It's like a real life version of the Dudleys.
  17. Wrestling news is competing with the January 6th hearings for attention. Of course it doesn't matter compared to that.
  18. https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2022/06/vince-mcmahon-accused-of-rape-by-first-female-wwe-referee.html There's an article about Rita Chatterton in New York magazine. What makes it notable is that I believe this is the first time someone has gone on the record to corroborate her claims (Mario Mancini in this case). Maybe the floodgates really are opening.
  19. Never forget that the Gladiators got their asses handed to them by Rico.
  20. American Dragon. That's about it, though.
  21. Never fear, everyone. The true ace has arrived in town to save the show.
  22. I would take claims that working several matches a week is better for the body with a grain of salt. It reminds me of how wrestlers in the 90s would say the Japanese schedule was easier on the body even with the harder style because you had several weeks off in between tours to rest up. Well, everyone who worked that schedule for any length of time ended up physically destroyed.
  23. Dave retweeting this reminded me of this thread. Get a load of the last ever MLG card with JCP talent.
