  1. Saving that one for the Patreon money grab reunion tour
  2. First 60 plus episodes are here
  3. Show was all about the 3 main events and they were all memorable for different reasons. Rhodes bros was awesome. Old school bloody babyface Dustin was great. Tag wasn't my style but definitely felt like a big time match and I got into it. I thought the Jericho-Omega match was dull but the finish was cool as a "real sports" shock finish, putting over Jericho's new finish as a kill shot. Post match Jericho promo was great heeling. Moxley is here and the show ends with intrigue. Had a blast watching with friends. I love pro wrestling
  4. So I guess starting a specific thread for this show was a waste of time. Savages
  5. Ok, today's the day. Definitely a polarizing show around here and elsewhere. I'm getting together with friends to split the cost. No way would I drop $50 on this, but I'm sure there will be free streaming options if one is so inclined, doesn't mind less than top quality video, and knows where to look. I'm no big fan of these guys and all their various projects, but I enjoyed what I saw of All In and want to check this out because I'm curious what they plan on showcasing as the alternative to WWE. Should be fun
  6. Episode 69 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-69 August 13, 1983 (WCCW 85) Sometimes the week's show is just a show. This is definitely one of those weeks. Highlights, as they are, include... -Mr. Ebony squashes some poor schlub. Mike something -A decent tag match featuring Lothario/Adams vs Markus/Mongol -Iceman vs Buddy for the first time since the hair vs hair match -Kerry vs Hayes in a main event matchup that sounded much more exciting only a few months ago Yes, a bit of staleness has set in, despite the territory still being red hot. Can the boys possibly survive this momentary inconvenience without tapping out???* *Of course they can. They survived 1982 for Christ's sake. Anyway, this show was recorded about a month ago and doesn't reflect recent developments. And Kelly is plagued by dreaded "real life responsibilities" so there wont be a show next week, but hopefully the following one. Dont worry, Castaways, we will be back!
  7. There's only one World Class pod around here, partner
  8. The original Mongols in WWWF got over HUGE in 1970, so everyone copied the shit out of the gimmick for years Even earlier, El Mongol was a big star in the South
  9. Serious candidate for least interesting feud of all time
  10. https://forums.prowrestlingonly.com/topic/49674-1986-10-07-wwf-bret-hart-vs-tom-magee/
  11. The Holy Grail JIP. Good match for what it was and considering Magee's level of experience. Hart was great playing to what little strengths Megaman had (or would ever have) and the crowd was totally engaged. It really was a master class in broomstick work. The preceding doc was great Now give me the Monsel's powder angle
  12. Check out the Boesch era Houston footage if you want to see really awesome Jose matches
  13. Hahaha...yeah, and Mark Lewin. At least Fishman finally turned up at International Star Wars
  14. To each his own, but I thought Hussein was terrible at everything, so I'm glad he's finally gone (we're in Aug 83 on World Cast) Dusek in many ways was the opposite. He was good at everything including commentary and probably deserved a chance to be a bigger star than he ever became
  15. I would argue that Saldi was "so bad he's good" for providing laughs with his constant referencing wrestlers from other territories and comically mispronouncing their names. As soon as Saldi leaves and Mercer is alone I was hit in the face by just how poor a commentator Mercer was. No enthusiasm, malapropisms left and right...just the shits And yes, David Manning is an obnoxious jackass, getting involved in everything and even feuding with wrestlers ffs. I have a soft spot for Bronco though
  16. World Cast Presents: The Mysterious Death of Gorgeous Gino https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-presents-the-mysterious-death-of-gorgeous-gino/s-xEHSQ With Kelly unavailable, Pete and Johnny are joined by Pete's buddy, loyal listener and super knowledgeable fan, JB, for a look at the Dark Side of the Ring documentary, The Mysterious Death of Gorgeous Gino. The boys discuss various conspiracies, cocaine, the quality of the various talking heads, cocaine, Billy Jack Haynes' possible involvement (???) and, of course, cocaine. This is a great listen, so everyone check it out!
  17. I listened to a few and they were bland, even the tribute to Bruno
  18. I'm pretty sure Richter has claimed that once the match started she knew it was Moolah. I'm not sure if she then guessed a double cross was coming
  19. World Cast Presents: The Last of the Von Erichs https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-presents-the-last-of-the-von-erichs The boys get together for a review of the recently aired Dark Side of the Ring documentary, The Last of the Von Erichs. They share their thoughts on the quality of the film, examine historical inaccuracies, and fill in details the documentary may have missed. This is a very good documentary, so everyone check it out (you know where, *wink wink*) and then check out the pod
  20. Where have you gone Tito Santana, our nation turns its lonely eyes to you...
  21. BTW, these guys are joining the PWO feed later this month...although I now have my doubts after hearing them bash 98 Rick Martel ; )
  22. Episode 68 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-68 August 6, 1983 (WCCW 84) The dog days of summer hit the territory, as it feels like things need to be built back up after two major Star Wars shows. Thus, the boys need to flex their podcasting muscles a bit to make things interesting. This week they look at... -Chris Adams visiting the Dallas Americans of the NASL!* -Chris Adams revisiting his feud with the Mongol (Dear God, will it ever end?) -The Iceman vs Mr. Ebony: a match with serious stakes, at least according to Bill Mercer -DOUBLE MAIN EVENT: Hayes/Roberts/Garvin vs the Von Erich's AND, from Ft. Worth TV June 18 or 25 , Kevin vs Garvin for the American title! (sorry, Castaways, it's not found on the Network) *Actually, just Googled, they were part of the short-lived American Soccer League (ASL)
  23. That was an awesomely hilarious review. Great work
  24. Episode 67 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-67 July 30, 1983 (WCCW 83) Bit of a mixed bag for the boys to break down this week, but mostly still awesome. Highlights/lowlights include... -Jose Lothario dragged down by an uninspired Gran Marcus, in a match with a ridiculously bad-looking finish to boot -Mongol/Gordy vs Iceman/Adams in a neat little hidden gem of a tag -Who is Rock Riddle, and is he more than just a wrestler? -David to Garvin: "You touched me in a personal way you've never touched me before" -All this plus Kevin vs Garvin in the main--second verse, same as the first
