Not live, but Nak vs Balor is a big match and I'm pretty excited. Show just started. Curious to see how much time they get
  2. http://placetobenation.com/titans-of-wrestling-63-the-stampede-territory-part-1/ Just in time for Stampede season, Kelly teams up with his longtime friend Travis for the first part of an ongoing mini-series devoted to an exploration of the famous Hart family territory based out of Calgary! Centered around a discussion of the promotion's oldest known footage (from April 1961) and the legendary main event of the WWF's 1997 Canadian Stampede PPV (the symbolic end of the territory), Kelly and Travis touch on... -Their personal experiences with the territory as kids in the late-80s -Ed Whalen's place as an announcer and Calgary icon -How Stampede compared to other areas -Stu Hart in 1961: Look out Don Draper! So sit back and enjoy a nostalgia-soaked ride through Western Canadian wrestling history! Travis and his pal Max have a great show reviewing Lucha Underground, appropriately called Lucha Afterground https://soundcloud.com/lucha-afterground Also, watch the 1961 ep, it's freakin great
  3. Thanks Carnac
  4. Dropping on Wednesday, Titans of Wrestling #63 is the first of a periodic multi-part look at the history of Western Canada's Stampede Wrestling promotion. Kelly brings aboard his longtime friend Travis (Lucha Afterground podcast https://soundcloud.com/lucha-afterground) to host, and they reminisce about the wrestling they grew up on living in Calgary in the late-80s. This episode features the bookends of the territory, with a look at both the oldest footage available-from April 1961-and the symbolic end of the story, the Canadian Stampede main event from 1997. So in the meantime and in between time, get ready for Titans #63!

  6. Wooooo pro wrestling woooooo
  7. I'm watching this at a friend's place. First UFC I've seen in 4 years. Lesnar winning and then an RKO out of nowhere is how I'd book it
  8. Haha...Chinlock Town. Brilliant
  9. That was outstanding
  10. Awesome match everyone should see http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xwci8e_andre-the-giant-vs-chuck-wepner_sport
  11. Looking online, I believe you're right. The Gino Marella match aired on that date, but I think the other matches were from a different taping
  12. There are a few random bits not released by WWE that have been out there over the years, like a Stomper vs Dan Kroffat match from 73, but yeah very little pre-1978
  13. Anyone know why this seems to be the only existing footage of Stampede Wrestling from the first nearly 20 years of the TV show? I'm going to be doing a podcast mini-series shortly on the history of Stampede and I'm curious how this seemingly random show survived and nothing else did from this era, or at least nothing has surfaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  14. The Mystery Titans of Andre vs Wepner match is on Dailymotion. Tried multiple times to get Ali vs Inoki up to no avail. Titans TV youtube is restricted to 15 minute videos and Dailymotion sucks for uploads. The audio of Johnny and I watching Ali vs Inoki is on the PWO-PTBN feed
  15. Awesome match! Both guys look great in probably the second best boxer vs wrestler match on tape (apologies to Milo Savage vs Gene LeBelle )

A Rick Martel comeback would be insane! I really loved the closing segment on the latest show where they got over 5 tag teams in about 15 minutes and everyone looked good. Also loved the Aries promo. The Nak sit down interview didn't really do him any favors though, that should have been redone
  17. Meltzer's write up of the 40th anniversary of the fight in this week's Observer is outstanding and clarifies a lot of what Johnny and I discussed in regards to the build and execution of the whole thing
  18. Groovy. I wonder how many stayed for the Ali/Inoki fight

  20. Here's the audio of Johnny and I watching Ali vs Inoki. Not sure if I'll get the videos to upload, between being on 6 months probation with restrictions on Youtube and Dailymotion being unreliable. Because the match is largely a bunch of nothing, we riffed on a bunch of random stuff and had a great time. Hopefully it works without the visual component. Those with a copy of the fight can sync up and watch at home, like playing Dark Side of the Moon over Wizard of OZ or something. https://soundcloud.com/jerryvonkramer/ali-vs-inoki
  21. Uploading of Ali vs Inoki videos to Dailymotion has proved problematic. This may be released as Mystery Titans Radio instead. We'll see what tomorrow brings

Loved the No Way Jose and Aries angle on the latest show. Good old school start to a feud
