It's true, I believe that's how the uncut version of the Bret Hart-Chris Benoit tribute match for Owen Hart ended up doing the rounds on the trading circuit before they put it out on the Benoit DVD. --- Does anybody know why the Midnight Rockers vs. Buddy Rose & Doug Somers match seems to be missing from WrestleRock '86? Loads of places have it listed but unless I skipped right past it, it's nowhere to be seen? Here's a Talking Heads music video with a couple of still frames of it at 1:47: Pretty sure that match is on Dailymotion

Didn't realize the Jumping Bomb Angels were so highly regarded. Glad to see it because I like them a lot -
Meltzer's bio on Ali is awesome

Another great Takeover. Really loved the tag match. Nak vs Aries and Asuka vs Jax were both very good. Cage match was good but I felt they didn't take it to that next level, and not just because there was no blood. Also, they need to choose between either having a ref in there or escape the cage rules, don't have both

Takeovers have delivered time after time, and on paper this looks like another hot show. Personally, I want them to say fuck it and let Balor and Joe bleed buckets. Should be a blast Andrade "Cien" Almas vs Tye Dillinger American Alpha vs The Revival Asuka vs Nia Jax Nakamura vs Aries Joe vs Balor Cage Match

Haiti Kid is Little Mr. T. Maybe it's just how I worded it (and I did not that he was back to being Haiti Kid by Mania III, at least in the WWF) but I was asking if the Mania 2 association was how he got the gimmick and if he had Mr. T's blessing on it.I think the point is that Little Mr. T in the AWA was another person, not the Haiti Kid. Although I'm not 100% if that was the case though

This is totally based on 30 year old memories, but his best work was Stampede 86-88. He was the top heel there and was a perfect asshole, and great foil for a young Owen Hart. Very funny promos and interactions with Ed Whalen. Nothing groundbreaking but some good solid heeling

One of the greatest sports legends of all time. Ties to wrestling include being influenced by Freddie Blassie and/or Gorgeous George for his promo style, famous mixed match with Inoki in 1976, guest ref at Mania I, and involved in Mid South angle with Jake Roberts and the Snowman in 85. Plus Gorilla Monsoon gave him an airplane spin once RIP champ

So by that logic, Nak has no chance on the main roster Balor will be just fine
-
I'm assuming the post Takeover build will be for Joe vs Nak at the Summerslam weekend show. Bring Balor up soon, and maybe have him put over Nak on his way out?

Dream Team beyond criminally low -
That Thesz vs Gagne match is one of the matches I've enjoyed watching the most in the last decade. Amazing Need to get around to some of these other matches you're pimping, especially the Broadway with Rogers

My first memory is being aware of the impending match between Roddy Piper and Mr. T at Mania 2, and then watching the highlights of the event on the local sports news. They showed highlights of the Hogan vs Bundy cage match and I was pretty much hooked. By the summer of 86 I was watching all the wrestling I could plus collecting the mags

I think the comparison at the time was more that the Smackdown belt felt as important as the the IC belt was in the 80s and 90s in relation to the world title
-
So The WHOLE REASON they are going with two champions is because they need someone to cash in Money in the Bank this year? They have absolutely no other possible motivations for creating a second title?

I believe Rude was supposed to be the challenger to Simmons at Starrcade 92 before he was hurt and Williams was a last minute sub Great show guys -
Personally I've enjoyed the Balor/Joe feud. First two Takeover matches were different, they added in the house show element, and it's culminating in the first ever NXT cage match, which will probably be epic
