  1. If true, that's major news Doing the Stampede retrospective on Titans has me ridiculously excited by the Dave Ruhl vs Marella match, as there is no footage of Ruhl out there as far as I know. He was one of the territories top stars during the 50s- 60s era
  2. New playlist: Maple Leaf Gardens! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLV6RCTo_Cd0CW6_CekwbAV7L1jX7cL0Cw
  3. Yeah, that's why it's up. Come on man
  4. Ricky Jackson

    NXT talk

I'm going to crunch the numbers and see if making the trip to TO is possible. I would love to be part of that atmosphere
  5. Don't worry, Keith's from Saskatchewan
  6. I haven't had much time to record the latest episode lately, so it may be another few weeks until it's done. I promise Bruno in the 70s will be worth the wait!
  7. The people have chosen, and the people want crap! Kelly and Johnny explore this rightly forgotten 1987 card from Kitchener, Ont. They discuss if Jose Luis Rivera was the real Man of 1000 Masks, why Demoltion didn't have mohawks, skipping the Hillbillies CHV, and the cinematic inspiration for Billy Jack Haynes, among a bunch of random stream of wrestling consciousness thoughts. Don't Ya Dare Miss it!
  8. When do you ever say anything positive about WWE? You are one of the biggest complainers on the board.
  9. Valentine's is worth a listen. Patera's was ok but not a lot about his actual work as a pro wrestler
  10. I couldn't of said it sarcastically any better
  11. He's basically spelled it out that they don't like each other for whatever reason
  12. Technical difficulties prevented us from recording last night. Hopefully get it done in the next few days
  13. Stan Stasiak was from Quebec but not Montreal
  14. You're a grown man and a smart fan who is surprised and elated by wrestling booking. Savor the moment. Drink it in, man
  15. Would love to see the Heenan match too because it was the Brain's last match. It was from Nassau Coliseum but I don't think it was taped
  16. I think 1992
  17. We watched the Bruno match for the Pro Wrestling Super Show last year. 2 part Fuji spotlight http://placetobenation.com/pro-wrestling-super-show-49-the-wrestler-mr-fuji/ http://placetobenation.com/pro-wrestling-super-show-50-mr-fuji-the-manager/
  18. He's not a hall of famer but he did have a pretty solid career as a wrestler. From the late 60s until around 1982 he was a high midcarder/main eventer in Portland, New York, San Francisco, LA, and the South. A decade off and on as a WWF tag champ and a year long reign with the US title in San Fran in 76-77 among other accomplishments
  19. Loved Fuji. Always brought a smile to my face
  20. We're going to be recording on Tuesday, so if you haven't voted yet please do!
  21. Watch this Angels vs Girls match and let us know what you think. We both loved it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-T2uq8W6LY&list=PLV6RCTo_Cd0DxIZcvvV8-Je015bl3aKxw&index=2
  22. http://placetobenation.com/tag-teams-back-again-episode-19-sayonara/ Kelly and Marty continue their journey through 1988 WWF, with stops at Wrestlemania IV, MSG, Boston Garden and the Spectrum, along the way taking time to bid adieu to some of their favorite tag teams. Bonus mini Summerslam/NXT review at the beginning! (Desperate attempt at relevancy) Tonight we examine: Jumping Bomb Angels vs Glamour Girls 3/5 Boston Bulldogs/Koko B. Ware vs Islanders/Heenan 3/27 Wrestlemania IV Strike Force vs Demolition 3/27 Wrestlemania IV Strike Force vs Demolition 4/25 MSG Bullldogs/Ware vs "Islanders"/Heenan 5/21 Spectrum Demolition vs Strike Force 6/1 Oakland Strike Force/Ultimate Warrior vs Demolition/Mr. Fuji 6/4 Boston
  23. I sure as hell hope they would turn on it
  24. My GWE list, and my philosophy on wrestling in general, reflects the belief that Great Matches are only one piece of what makes a wrestler and wrestling great
