  1. Here's the fixed Philly show. Enjoy as treat before Extreme Rules!
  2. "Bret Hart in WCW" Yep, this never felt right at all, even after being there a few years. Pretty much all the other WWF guys who came over fit in, but Bret totally felt like a Marvel character in a DC world or something.
  3. Yeah. I'm re-uploading it, but it takes forever and I'm away from WiFi at the moment. Hopefully it will be ready by tomorrow
  4. Audio on the Philly card is off. I'll try and fix it as soon as possible
  5. Mystery Titans Theatre Friday Night Double Feature!!! First up, Parv returns, and he is joined by Kelly for a look at the October 21, 1984 WWF card from Maple Leaf Gardens. Marvel at some truly dreadful matches, the cause of the black wrestler (or is it "black wrestler", who the fuck knows) being set back several decades, and Andre the F'N Giant taking flight! Next, Kelly and Johnny head to the City of Brotherly Love for a crazy card from August 4, 1984. Fantasy booking dominates--Backlund as a punk at CBGB's, the Freebirds lasting longer than a month, and the phenomenon of Chungermania running wild and unbridled!

And I think it's good booking, nothing else. Nia is going to face Asuka at Takeover, so here's a big win for her. Now Bayley will have to go through Jax again to get to Asuka. She will get her rematch with Asuka presumably at the Takeover before Summerslam, where she should regain the strap. I think Bayley should stick around NXT until 2017, no need to rush.

Silly me for throwing around the sacred G-word so recklessly
  8. One of the best lines uttered by anyone ever on Titans

Great match between Bayley and Nia Jax on this week's show
  10. Jake claimed years ago that the program was torpedoed because he was getting face heat and "DDT" chants in the matches. Seems to me the timing, in early 87, wasn't right for it to succeed, with Jake well on his way to becoming a face and Hogan gearing up for Mania 3 vs Andre
  11. Nothing to complete. The focus on the show going forward is individual wrestlers. The show will last as long as I feel like doing it
  12. why? Because I have never once had enough time to listen to a podcast from this board in one sitting. And while I enjoy the long shows much of time (and have even done some myself), it would be nice to have at least one show that lasts about the length of a work commute and then it's over. Eventually I think something like this will happen and almost become a common occurance. Right now the gimmick is GO LONG or not to sacrifice detail. I don't think many shows have tried narrowing the focus of individual episodes. I hear this show only goes about 45 minutes http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/34221-at-the-garden-series-preview-wrestling-at-msg-1880-1938/&do=findComment&comment=5753212
  13. Funny, because my argument against long podcasts is the Lapsed Fan Starrcade death slog given the numbers theyre doing your argument doesnt hold a lot of weight Now now, kids, don't worry. A lot of us have zero interest in hearing anyone do podcasts about wrestling (anything at all, maybe?) for any significant length of time. Although summer is coming, and that means long-drive season. What I might go for--and I realize this is an absolutely unrealistic amount of editing--would be a magazine-style collection of the best segments from one series, or even a few combined. Come, give Titans a sample and let us win your cold, podcast hating heart https://soundcloud.com/jerryvonkramer/sets/the-best-of-titans-of
  14. Funny, because my argument against long podcasts is the Lapsed Fan Starrcade death slog
  15. That is very true. I remember when I first started podcasting being concerned about editing out tangents and bits that didn't pertain to the main topic, but soon gave up because it was time consuming and nobody seemed to care either way
  16. Come on, no new WWE TV thread so we can talk about the first ever Asylum match being announced for Extreme Rules, between Ambrose and Jericho, with scary music playing in the background as Ambrose tells Y2J about it?
  17. Personally I agree. It seems all shows are at least 3 hrs in length now. I'm as guilty as anyone. I envision a movement towards shorter shows in the future
  18. Wasn't the only reason the Heart Punch ever got over that someone died (for unrelated reasons) after a match where he took one? The Heart Punch got over because it was sold like death and nobody kicked out after taking one. The Heart Punch is awesome
  19. Loved researching Johnson. Such an interesting career that is overshadowed by his megastar son.

  21. It's just a technicality When talking about the releases, Meltzer mentions Alex Riley was being groomed until an "incident with John Cena". This would've been around 2011 when he was with the Miz I guess. Anyone know what happened? I don't recall reading about it at the time
  22. John Wayne was awesome, as a performer anyway

Well yes, plus that jabroni Bayley
  24. Good, because I don't think I would want to live in a world where Shane vs Taker was the most amazing money draw of all time
