  1. Vince just loves hillbilly characters. He kept Jim around that long for pure amusement.
  2. I'm a huge Salt-N-Pepa fan and yet I never knew they were on this show. I mean TECHNICALLY it's just Pepa (and Spin) but I agree that it's pretty strange to see them on this show in such a tiny role especially given that they had just released their biggest hit at the time (#1 in several countries). I bet they were mortified at that horrible PN News "rap", given that Pepa is probably legitimately one of the top 5 female rappers of all-time.
  3. If they wanted to use Hervey, they shoulda at least used him the way Federline was used - as the douche heel. Maybe he's a nice guy in real life but every role he had (Wonder Years, Pee-Wee) was as an asshole kid so that's his public perception. Another dumb WCW thing.
  4. I was thinking about the Poffo Breaking Kayfabe today. Do people believe his story about Savage not wanting in the HOF unless the whole family goes? I do, for sure, as everything anyone has said about Savage seems to indicate he was fiercely loyal and held a grudge forever. Just curious what other people thought.
  5. Hervey's dancing made this for me. I would say I'm shocked Missy was into him but given her history I'm not shocked at all.
  6. I think she was one of the girls that worked with Raven in Portland.
  7. I thought way too long about this a few weeks ago and after having a good chuckle about Lash LeRoux, the names I thought were most obvious were the Freebirds and Roberts but looking here, Duggan and Taylor are also great ideas. With the new DVD coming out, I think Watts might be an early favourite too.
  8. I've seen a couple people bashing BarberShop Window as a result of this raid. I've smiled at a couple of their shirts, considered buying a few but haven't gotten around to it. Why the hate? Have they screwed people?
  9. I love this match. It always sucks me in. Sherri is great here. The post-match is phenomenal. One of my all-time faves.
  10. He's still going about the crystal in his skull...
  11. I think they were forced to hype some of the Atlanta shows on TBS because they lost syndication in Atlanta. Classic WCW.
  12. I still have that ring and the Hulk Hogan sleeping bag and God knows how many of those action figures I've had over the years.
  13. Is that the one that was run by Grizzly Smith?
  14. Yes, he's the new WWF champion but he has to celebrate with a lavender belt so did he really win?
  15. My favourite part is when Santana comes out Monsoon and Piper are just gushing over how great a guy he is and what a class act he is. Then Warrior comes out and they're silent through his entire entrance before Monsoon finally breaks the silence with something like "What a match this will be!" Kills me every time.
  16. Sue me, I don't think it was THAT BAD. Yes it was overhyped but I think the fan reaction is what killed it dead. All they were gonna use it for was a Wild Cat Willie type thing, supposedly not as an actual wrestler. Definitely not worse than magic shows the Black Scorpion was doing at the same time.
  17. It's a shame because this crowd is electric too. The opening match (Freebirds vs Southern Boys) was just ok but they were LITERALLY HANGING FROM THE RAFTERS over it. Don't cry for Jacksonville though, their next big event was the 92 WarGames PPV so it evened out.
  18. I've been waiting years for them to rework this gimmick. Nowadays the wrestler could stall a match while he consults his app to draw heat. Then 20 years from now our children can laugh about how ridiculous and outdated that is.
  19. I had a WCW magazine that had a clear photo of Windham as Sting and even there he was passable so I think it was well-done by the wrestlers. It's just that the storyline was pretty convoluted that made this fall apart.
