I watched the ROH Straight Shootin he did with Cornette about 4 days before he died. He was hilarious and informative in that, and every interview I ever saw with him.

[1990-07-07-WWC-Anniversario] Abdullah the Butcher vs Zeus
BackToBionic replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Yeah, they probably shouldn't have zoomed in on some of those Zeus forearms. Terrible. -
Welp, now I'll be doing my Dawna impression for the rest of the night.

[1990-05-19-NWA-Capital Combat] Sting, Robocop and the Four Horsemen
BackToBionic replied to Loss's topic in May 1990
I remember reading that the guy in the suit (swore I read that it was Peter Weller but that doesn't seem true) had zero mobility so I'm not entirely sure what he could've done. I don't even think he coulda thrown a punch.- 15 replies

I wonder why Sid was in the tux so much. It's not exactly something you throw on. -
[1990-03-19-WWF-MSG, NY] Ultimate Warrior vs Mr Perfect
BackToBionic replied to Loss's topic in March 1990
I think the story was that he was still "perfect" at MSG. -
Man, I'm gonna have to try to get that. I'm from Jacksonville and my mom used to tell me about going to shows at the Coliseum.

Dig those Roos ringposts. Also, I love Cornette on commentary. I wish he hadn't torched his bridge with the WWE cos I'd love to see him commentate there, even on one of their "B" shows.

[1990-02-17-NWA-World Championship Wrestling] Interview: Sting
BackToBionic replied to Loss's topic in February 1990
I remember reading that he did really well and was able to come back faster than expected. May have been in a kayfabe magazine or may have been from a legit source, can't remember. Edit: Must have been an Apter mag memory. The WON from after the injury says 2-6 mths -
Wellll, he did train the biggest superstar of the last 20 years.

[1990-02-10-WWF-Superstars] Brother Love: Rick Martel
BackToBionic replied to Loss's topic in February 1990
I was the opposite. I remember I had some board game that had The Model and I would always proclaim him my favourite. Strange kid, I was.- 13 replies

[1990-01-20-WWF-Superstars] Royal Rumble Report w/Gene Okerlund
BackToBionic replied to Loss's topic in January 1990
I love stuff like this too. This was a couple years before I started watching. They were really pushing Perfect at this time. What was The Genius to him? His mentor? Seems like a weird fit.- 16 replies

The best thing about Beefcake is his theme. Gets me every time!- 24 replies

This is crazy that we're supposed to buy any doubt as to which is the real Sting.

[1996-12-02-WCW-Nitro] NWO take over announce booth
BackToBionic replied to Loss's topic in December 1996
I know everyone had accepted it as fact that he'd be the mystery guy at Survivor Series which was a few weeks before so I would guess so.- 10 replies

Well after watching the Nitro from a few weeks later, Bischoff says that he made the decision to join the nWo AFTER the powerbomb. I think they realised the err of their way with that one because that story makes waaaay more sense.

Yeah, they maybe should've said Bischoff made a business decision and the nWo offered him a deal a few months back to start helping them from within instead of saying he was a part of it all along, given that powerbomb.

Oh, and Hall's one to talk about "Harlem" Heat given that he's still rocking the Cuban accent despite being from Tampa.

I think it was too subtle for most of the audience, as she seemed to still get a fair amount of heel heat. Although that may have been because like 2 mths earlier she was still throwing Savage's money into the audience during Flair's entrance. THAT, to me, is the headscratcher...Flair beat up his dad and just generally humilated him for about 9 mths but after only a few weeks of Hogan screwing around with him...NOW she suddenly has sympathy? Wrestling logic, for sure.

During the Sable/Sunny catfight, Patterson goes out to break it up and Ross says "The queens of the WWF are outside the ring!" They love ribbing him.
