    Love brings up Sherri slapping Warrior three times. Warrior has a present for Brother Love. He makes him put a wig and dress on. Felt like an episode of Oz.

    Roberts is vision impaired. Ha, ha. He’s in a lot of pain though. We will get a status next week. Model seems to be really broken up about what happened to Jake. Very sincere.

    Thought this would be one sided but Takano looks pretty decent by end. Each guy with the big dives including Takano coming off the top to the outside. Tenryu with the reversal of a bridge into the powerbomb was nice. He needs another one to finally put away Takano. Nice match.

    Jeff Jallet name change could have helped in get out from under his dad’s shadow. Clock on the side of the screen. Jallet with a bunch of headscissor takedowns. We get a graphic for exciting announcer. Random close up of the different announcers throughout match. Jeff works the leg of Kabuki but Outon prefers to work the back. Decent showing of strength by Bob on the backbreaker. Nice dropkick by Jeff. But then Tenryu just quickly powerbombs him for the win. Didn’t build to that finish enough.

    Idol gives a heelish type promo about having a match with no kicking or punching (which the crowd boos to). He lets Lawler have more time to regroup but kicks him in the stomach. I was expecting a quick finish to this match but Lawler hangs around. Lawler has a real fired up comeback but referee gets bumped. Gilbert/Funk try to clothesline Lawler but hit Idol instead. Lawler wins the title. Lawler came off like superman after the beating he took from Funk and Gilbert in the semifinal match.

    Funk pops Lawler in the face big time on the outside of the ring. Those punches sound awesome. Funk is laying in the haymakers. Oh Terry! He’s completely destroying Lawler and then decides to beat up the referees. Well, he is crazy. Funk piledrives Lawler and Gilbert pretends to count but Lawler kicks out. Spike piledriver on Lawler who is not going to be a in good shape for the final. Match was going great and then we got a silly finish.

    Clipped match. Idol makes a company and gets the figure four on. Sam Lowe throws the towel in and Gilbert loses. Kind of a surprise as I thought Gilbert was destined to be in finals.

    Terry swings wildly and misses and Murdoch counters with a eye poke. Funk gets all pissed and starts headbutting. Murdoch has another counter for that. An eye poke! Fun stuff. Funk is doing everything he can to get disqualified but the referee is letting it go. Punching the referee, knocking him down, bringing the brandon iron into the ring and Murdoch is the one who gets disqualified for taking the weapon away from Funk. Match was going great. I guess with a tournament like this there is going to be some cheap finishes this but it’s more referees looking inept.

    Slater tries a couple piledrivers but referee stops them because illegal. Later in match with referee down, Slater goes for another but Lawler reverses. Jerry then hits his own piledriver. Referee counts one but then stops to question Lawler if he uses a piledriver. Ugh, annoying refereeing going on. I dislike the finish more over years when a guy suplexes another but has his own shoulders down.

    I thought we would be getting an intense brawl coming off their TV studio angle. More of a technical match. Gilbert takes a couple breathers. They do another face pinning the heel visually but referee being distracted by manager. Ten min time limit draw which is too short. Yuck! They decided the winner to advance in a World Title tournament by coin toss. Jarrett loses and finally shows fire in match and attacks Gilbert after. This wasn’t what I was expecting. Match was technically fine but finish and lack of hatred pulled it down.

    Dundee got eliminated in first round by count out. Lawler gets the pin but referee is distracted by Bruno. Didn’t feel like that was necessary when Lawler still ending up winning the match. Rough referee decision with Mean Mark getting disqualified for accidentely hitting the ref.

    Funk does a big sell of getting spit in the face. He storms off into the crowd and Brown follows. But they casually go back to the ring. Funk’s selling of the flying headbutt was lots of fun. Nice little match. Best Brown match I’ve seen.

    Personal shots taken between Blair and Spivey who then snaps and beats up Blair. They managed to make each other look minor league.

    Bruno’s chuckles when he refers to opponent as Davey Meltzer. You learn something as I didn’t notice that was a newsletter being stuck in his mouth at the end.

    Ace Crusher did look weak. Match seemed to take a pause when he hit it as him and Kobashi were doing well up to that. Then Jumbo quickly takes things over and while Ace fights off briefly, Jumbo gets the win.

    Japanese announcer showing off the wrestler’s fancy coach bus. Look at all that seat room. Butcher just happens to still be on the bus. He complains about the lack of room still and that he has to use two seats. It looks like he is reading off cue cards. Later on we find him sleeping on the back seat. He is not happy about being disturbed.

    Doom attacked Arn when Flair wasn’t around. Are the Horsemen being turned face? Brief Flair promo.

    Another contract signing with Nasty Boys and Steiners. Overdoing it by having it twice on same show and we are obviously due for someone getting attacked. Nasty Boys with stiff looking blows on the Steiners. This match could be fun. Rick forgets the name of the upcoming PPV. No time to do another take of the interview?

    That is a loaded tag team division. Wow.

    Sting wearing one of Michael Jackson’s jacket during a contract signing with Sid. Nobody gets attacked though. Very civil. Well, Sid came down later in the show to attack Sting. Sid with a piledriver on the chair! They had Ole talking over Flair earlier in the year and they are leaving Sid to do promos on his own.

    Gordon Solie tells us about his most bizarre and demeaning interview he has done in his career. Yes, he is wearing an blindfold interviewing the Black Scorpion. He must have loved doing this.

    Slater is dressed so casually compared to everyone else who was wearing suits on this episode.

    Jarrett lost by count out due to Gilbert interference so Jeff went back and cost Eddie his match. Jeff lists some of the previous Southern Heavyweight champions. Gilbert is wearing a suit also. Everyone all dressed up. Things get real personal between them as Gilbert thinks his Jerry Jarrett is pulling strings for his son. Gilbert ends up clocking Jarrett with a roundhouse punch. I loved that Eddie’s clip on tie flew during the punch. Jarrett is real bloodied up and this turns into a hockey style fight with blows. Clothes get ripped apart and Jarrett’s blood is all over he two of them. Awesome heated segment.

    Marlin with the World Heavyweight Title belt. Dave Brown goes down the complete list of participants. Pretty decent group of guys. One night tournament seems excessive with that many guys though. Could have spaced that out a few weeks. Lawler with a suit on joins us. Jerry buries Snowman once again. Calling him the worst wrestler and someone who didn’t really win the title. Snowman hasn’t been making his show appearances and has been stripped of the title. Marlin buries him too for ducking competition. They don't like Snowman.
