  1. I agree about the Hansen book. It's the only Teal book I had to keep taking breaks from reading. I thought I was the only one that didn't care for it that much. It has some good parts, just not enough. Plus he was way too repetitive. He kept repeating some of the same stuff in regards to Japan. I've been meaning to pick up that Fargo book. Sounds like a crazy read.
  2. Which Brody book did you read C.S. Emerson Murray or Larry Matysik? I liked the Emerson Murray one better myself due to all the people interviewed for it. It didn't come across as biased. Where the Matysik definitely was. The format was kind off odd as well with every other chapter by Barbara Goodish.
  3. The Tony Atlas book is excellent. Very in depth and honest. I don't know how long it took Scott Teal to get all this info out of Atlas or how he did it. I would put it up there with any top book.
  4. There's an edited version that appeared in Gary Langevin's "On The Mat". And thanks! Awesome. Thanks Bix.
  5. Does that Kerry interview from the Wrestling Flyer exist on line anywhere? I would love to check that out. Great show again as well. Really digging the format.
  6. I'm actually more interested in seeing the top 25 tag team list more than the singles. Probably 75% of my viewing habits over the last 6 years has just been cherry picking tag team matches.
  7. I think since he's achieved both his childhood dreams with great success along with some of other things like TV appearances, radio, podcast and your own books. Your going to be a little arrogant about it. It would probably be hard not to be to an extent. He probably doesn't even realize how he comes across at times.
  8. I'd be fine with that.
  9. I'd agree with this as well. The other way it almost seems like the guy is being punished for being #100.
  10. So with the system proposed the guy ranked 100 would get zero points? Doesn't seem right. He should get something for even making someone's list.
  11. This is really hard to narrow it down to 3 matches. My mind changes all the time for my top 25 order. So I will just pick 3 from my list on how I'm feeling now. AWA - 8/30/86 - Midnight Rockers vs Buddy Rose/Doug Somers. The first time I saw this match was when it aired almost 30 years ago. I was teenager then and even now it's still just as tremendous. The perfect tag match with great hope spots and awesome selling. The inclusion of blood just adds to the greatness, especially with the Rockers wearing white makes for an awesome visual. Post match stuff is fun as well. WWF - Summerslam 8/29/92 - Randy Savage vs The Ultimate Warrior. I know a lot of people prefer the retirement match, but to me this one is better. I will admit the finish isn't as good. I do like the Flair and Perfect interference stuff. To me both guys work hard with a lot of back and forth action. I also love the pageantry during the intros with the stare down. A really fun match. WCW - Beach Blast 6/20/92 - Sting vs Cactus Jack. This is the type of match where I really think Sting is in his element. He seems to do great in a brawling type of setting. This match has a bunch of fun spots without over doing it. It sets a great tempo right from the start with Cactus waiting for Sting on the ramp where they immediately go right at it. This really stresses the hatred these two have for each other. This is a match I just can't get enough of over the years.
  12. On Twitter he claimed he was sent home due to having the flu.
  13. I think Bix mentioned the WON obit on Moolah as the other. Fun show. I really enjoyed the Scott Teal interview. His books are so great. The Atlas book is my favorite of his so far. Really looking forward to part 2.
  14. I didn't see the Bunkhouse Cage match mentioned yet ( sorry if I missed it). Trying to throw your opponent over the top of a cage was a terrible idea. It would be virtually impossible to lift somebody up and toss them out in theory. Kind of hard to suspend disbelief on that one.
  15. I always loved the Paul Heyman "shoot" promo on Vince McMahon from Smackdown over a decade ago.
  16. The AWA copromoted their Chicago shows with the Bruiser's promotion the WWA. A lot of old school Chicago fans our bigger fans of Bruiser's promotion over the AWA. I liked both as a kid. Sadly my Dad never took me to the Amp as I was still young and that was a rough crowd. Supposedly a lot of "We Want Blood" chants during Bruiser and Crusher vs whoever matches.
  17. That was some awesome stuff. Really fun. Those guys can talk about that the rest of their lives. How many fans can say they interacted with the Rock on Raw?
  18. Hopefully he will beat it. I thought I read recently that Smith Hart also has a form of cancer. Hopefully he will beat it as well. Edit: Smith Hart announced on Twitter on 1/21/16 that he had both prostate and bone cancer.
  19. What device are you using? On my Fire stick, most archived shows are indexed so you can skip to the beginning/end of matches. Either my Roku or IPhone. Sometimes I'll use my computer at work to have it on as background noise. Unfortunately I can't watch it at work.
  20. This is my third time around having the Network. I'm enjoying it more this round and will probably keep it for awhile. My only gripe which is minor, I wish they would make it easier to find a select match on say a PPV or TV show. Fast forwarding and guessing where the match I want to see is a minor annoyance. Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to add a listing for each show where you can select the match you want to view. Maybe down the road.
  21. Just cherry picked this match to watch because it sounded good on paper. Pretty solid overall. Vader made Duggan look good with some nice bumping and selling early. Some spots like Vader going over the top rope prematurely before the clothesline from Duggan annoyed me slightly along with some weak looking punches from Duggan when he mounted Vader in the corner. Still it was a fun match and both guys worked hard.
  22. Wow, just read this. He was always one of those guys I wanted to see more of. He just wasn't in the territories I watched often. RIP Greg Oliver put together a nice obit on him. http://slam.canoe.com/Slam/Wrestling/2016/01/23/22596334.html
  23. Late 70's to early 80's - Tony Atlas Mid 80's - Kerry Von Erich Late 80's to early 90's - Warrior or Luger Mid 90's - Luger Late 90's - Goldberg Early 00 - Eddie Guerrero After that I guess Cena
  24. I thought it came across pretty well on tv or at least a lot better than I expected. As for him being small I thought he looked fine.
  25. I watched the following every weekend in 1986/1987: WWF JCP AWA World Class UWF GLOW POWW Pro Wrestling this Week It was actually pretty easy to keep up with. I would never be able to watch all of that now.
