  1. Yes. It would get some backlash at first, but if used right attention to the time limit and time limit draw could do wonders to mix things up. Yes, and without hammering it home beforehand by hyping a time limit. You could even introduce it by bell ringing at the 10 or 20 minute mark of a match to introduce the concept. The key is mixing things up and not relying on the same tropes hour in and hour out.
  2. Yeah, apparently a slight change in the impact or had it happened to someone with weaker neck muscles and we'd very possibly be discussing a real tragedy.
  3. Amazing. TNA is like a any law firm / bank / fill in the blank company that has people jazzed for their upcoming career only to want out. Except it doesn't make money or compensate anyone.
  4. I'd add the Akiyama matches from 2/27/00, 4/11/01 and 7/27/01, vs. Takayama from 4/15/01 (legit MOTYC in my eyes and even better than the Kobashi match the previous year) and 9/23/02 for early decade work.

  6. Thanks. Plugging some highlight matches into a youtube playlist I can run through soon enough. Zero patience to put myself through the whole thing but I'm game for the greatest hits.
  7. Entirely possible. Its not just how many up and down the card, but where they're mixed in.
  8. Can't imagine anything other than a babyface Rusev with the booking last night. Intriguing.
  9. That Brock/Taker brawl was spectacular. Made the most out of a common angle and the match feels like a huge deal now . Throwing a little shade at it, its very clear from looking at who was involved in keeping them apart that the only people on the roster that matter are Reigns, Orton, Cena, Wyatt (and Harper), maybe Rusev for some reason. Anyone else I'm missing? Everyone else was out there as part of the job squad keeping the main eventers from getting their hands on each other -- Cesaro, Ambrose, Owens, etc.
  10. Those jumpsuits New Day wore were FIRE. There's nowhere in public I could wear them but I love it.
  11. Scarily enough, I actually think Vince would be less crazy and troll-ish. 100%. He'd rather win than make noise. Plus sensitive enough about his image outside of wrestling to temper it down.
  12. Fucking a. They could've at least given us 15-20 minutes of Lesnar-Rollins instead of 10. I respect trying to turn Taker heel and imagine we'll get a promo from him from the biker Taker era, but this needed a middle finger to the fans (literal, not killing dead a great main event) or something a little more concrete to cement him as a heel. And does he ever look old. Ugh.
  13. Correction: I'd rather hold it in all night than have the Miz even as a bathroom break.
  14. Nice babyface pop for Cena's win. That looked like it was clearly the best match of the night but I enjoyed Orton-Sheamus more because it somehow felt fresher. No clue if that makes sense. At least Owens should now really feel like part of the team.
  15. Yeah. Its a good match, but third time in what, 6-7 weeks? Its overkill without time to breathe. EDIT: The thing tonight does have going for it is I'm not sure about the finish, unlike the second match. But it feels like watching the same match I enjoyed a months ago and again 2 weeks before that.
  16. Yeah. Basically a more athletic version of the same divas stuff as before with some new faces. Remains a bathroom break. I will say they do work stiff. I think in genral they are all too skinny though, need more heft in my wrestling. Definitely stiffer. But between the choreography and presentation I'm missing something that makes me care.
  17. Yeah. Basically a more athletic version of the same divas stuff as before with some new faces. Remains a bathroom break.
  18. Last year Reigns beat everyone and was rejected in favor of Bryan heading into Mania. So this time they job him to True Blood to see if that works better?
  19. It lends credence to Dylan's theory that someone just really wants Reigns to fail. Fortunately, he looks to be too good to fail, at this point. Bray's doing his best to bring Reigns and this match down. Even stole Orton's extened chinlock.
  20. For those that are new, this should read "this Wyatt guy looks to be the least compelling thing in modern times."
  21. New Day vs. PTPers - Shocked how long this got. Absolutely solid match that didn't feel like a waste of time. - Woods's ringside commentary is quickly becoming some of my favorite mic work and a great piece of the undercard. - Titus's fire and energy are awesome and have to think his ceiling is somewhere higher than this. - Big E's apron splash was dope. - if the lady matches are decent going forward we're going to need a return of the Adam Rose / R Truth nonsense to the main card to ensure a legitimate bathroom break. For now we'll pencil in Wyatt's entrance for that role.
  22. Orton vs. Sheamus - I don't recall enjoying a Sheamus match that much in ages, if ever. They went long but never lost me, which has happened with all of their recent encounters. Orton was motivated working at home and thus didn't look like he was asleep, while Sheamus took his ass kicking like a man and cut out most of the antics that have led me to hate him in recent years. Heel is a role that serves him very well.
  23. I know they often buy wrestlers in their hometown, but did they recently abandon announcing hometowns? I just noticed it now with Orton but have no clue if its been practice for a while.
  24. This is a great point. Summer will not overshadow Rusev. If the valet wins we all lose.
