  1. Reed himself claims he missed the show because his wife gave birth. And SRS reports he was scheduled to challenge Rollins today before the latter got hurt. Can certainly doubt the man himself and the reporter, but it doesn't sound like they did him dirty.
  2. I'll probably stick around through the G1 in case Tsuji, Umino and Uemura are rocket strapped and deliver the goods, but between the defections and booking decisions its getting harder and harder to justify an investment in World. Especially when they stripped down the archives with the recent relaunch.
  3. Revisited this as I'm on a 1991 kick and it was just terrific. Hughes bumping and throwing dropkicks, Windham bleeding and even Race getting into the mix with a dropping headbutt. I might've even gone **** on this with a better finish but it was great as is. This kind of angle would have you think Havoc is building to Luger/Windham, or perhaps Starrcade, but no. Not much would've moved the needle for 1991 WCW but this actually felt like a hot feud for a minute.
  4. Agreed. I do not want to see him anymore. At all. Under any circumstances But it still made for a neat interaction and as long as he's not too prominent a part of Revolution there's no real harm.
  5. Dead dad hater Christian Cage belongs on SNL. Yes, the show has fallen to all time lows the last couple years but I think it'd make the cut many weeks in a good season. On the other hand, I might prefer to watch Chris Benoit vs. his family than Timeless Toni Storm at this point. Its quickly become one of the worst gimmicks I can recall and an immediate fast forward/take care of something in the other room moment.
  6. I'm dying to see the reaction if I wear a "Christian is my Father" shirt to synagogue this year.
  7. Its either this or less coke and invest that cash in low expense funds before blowing another nickel on this carny nonsense and inevitably find yourself back on a path of coke and whores.
  8. I also preferred today's Dragon vs. ZSJ to WrestleDream by a hair, but we're really splitting hairs. I found today's technique and mat work, along with the late escalation superior, but just barely. However -- United Empire vs. BC War Dogs was the most unexpectedly great all time classic and MOTY frontrunner I've seen in ages. An incredibly violent and dramatic war that didn't feel nearly as long as it did. The raw violence and backyard cage were comparable to ROH/CZW Cage of Death while the Empire entrances called back to the best babyface fires from past Wargames. Its been a busy day so I have no clue what -- if any -- early consensus is on this one, but it absolutely rocked my world. Tremendous work and bloodshed from all.
  9. Here's hoping they make a concentrated effort to feature and promote her as a star rather than quickly slotting in as another face on the roster. Absolutely loaded lineup tonight on the heels of the best Collision in quite some time. Super pumped.
  10. Perhaps (i.e. very) I'm biased but that kind of mixed tag screams 1999 WCW and begs me not to pay attention. Out The Mud? Maybe I'm old but that ish tells me the kids are not in fact alright. Bring on Trick & Ilja.
  11. That's entirely logical. On the other hand, he's probably earning seven figures multiple times over to go out there and take that bullet on behalf of the company. I'd find a way to swallow it too. But they're not paying me to do so which makes it a lot harder.
  12. I fully expected Roman vs. Rock as soon as Rocky came back with the "head of the table" promo. Punk wins the Rumble to challenge Rollins, Rock shows up to challenge Roman and Cody finds something else to do for the next year. Again. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. The build for Roman/Rock and Cody/Whatever would determine that. But having Cody win the Rumble just to come out and cuck himself on live TV? *That* was an audible I did not see coming and makes absolutely everyone look like absolute trash. Just a mind bogglingly poor decision. Then again, it may not matter. Perhaps crowds crap all over everything in protest like some 2014 2.0. Or perhaps between the crowd sweetening and current fans its no big deal. But I still have no idea how they thought this is the way.
  13. Brock's handler, mentor and whisperer for over 2 decades doesn't just know where the bodies are buried. He brought the shovels and got his hands dirty too.
  14. Its Florida. He'll probably get a parade and appointed to a county education board.
  15. HIGH FIVE!
  16. I am legitimately shocked. it wasn't AMAZING, but I enjoyed the Cody/Punk close and found the finish terrific and surprising. Can't wait for Rock to pin Cody. GOOD TIMES ALL AROUND!
  17. Wow. Andrade confirmed as filler.
  18. That Lashley/Street Profits vs. Kross/AOP did nothing for me. Very sub-Rumble, C-show angle. When is Austin showing up?
  19. Has Slim Jim been featured at all on the telecast? Can't say I've noticed but I'm not exactly tuned into these things.
  20. Melo needs Hornswoggle and Minorita to deliber on the main roster. He is very much not him. Very much worthy of where Theory is slotted these days.
  21. Andrade needs to make the final 4-6 for this to matter. If that's even possible. Otherwise he's just out there training cardio. But let's do it. Dude somehow already looks more likely to pass a wellness test than he did in AEW.
  22. If Brock is iced for a while, who do you give Gunther at Mania? Sheamus makes the most sense but I dunno if they want to go back to that.
  23. Rocky Johnson at #30 is not farfetched. But, no, Dwayne doesn't need to enter the Rumble. We can get there in other ways.
  24. And thought that was how to establish Reigns as a babyface. Probably easier to have him give every person in the crowd a disease. Then again, with Titan's crowd that probably would've made him the next Hogan.
  25. Roman/AJ remains an elite pairing.
