  1. Fun match. I thought this was Bryan's best performance so far. His uninspired promo was awful, but his matches continue to improve. He had some nice high flying moves like running off the apron and elbowing Buster Time while he was climbing over the railing. Buster had some good power moves like the gorilla press drop to the floor.
  2. Solid match. The start of this one was really good. They were quite fast paced without it looking choreographed. Rudy Boy did a good job of pacing throughout the match. How he got up from landing on his neck on that suplex from the top is a mystery. They had a few timing mishaps after that like on the handspring elbow, but it was still a fun match.
  3. Solid match. Bradley has another competent outing againt Ali. I would agree that Bradley is the bizarro version of Rob Van Dam, but from my viewpoint, Bradley is a much worse wrestler since he is terribly bland and lacking personality. I liked the angle in the match with Baxter tossing the tennis racket as it left the viewer wondering whether he was trying to betray Ali. It would make me want to tune in the next week.
  4. After a rambling promo, we get an impromptu match between Smothers and Dinsmore. They started out with some fast paced brawling that ended up outside before returning to the ring for a more regular match. Smothers low blows Dinsmore, hits him with a boot, and piledrives him on a chair. Then he attacks the ref and piledrives him. Smothers is able to effectively get across his somewhat deranged character, and Dinsmore is decent enough as the babyface. Fun tv match.
  5. Average match. Takayama tossing the flowers was funny. Tamon Honda's all headbutt offense got old fast. I liked the section where Takayama and Omori worked over Honda's arm. Misawa didn't put forth much effort in this one. Takayama looks like a star everytime he appears. He's got that certain intensity in his movements that makes him stand out.
  6. Average match. Atlantis went after Villano III from the start, but didn't really get the advantage. Atlantis seemed sluggish throughout the match and not up to his usual level. Nothing really bad in this match, but it never found a groove, maybe as a result of the clipping. Shocker was funny ringing the bell.
  7. Very good match. The rudos jump the tecnicos in the aisle and bust open Tarzan Boy early. Tarzan Boy just gets abused. After he gets thrown into seats, some fan actually touches the covered in blood Tarzan Boy. No way would I touch a bloody wrestler. Satanico is completely vicious in this match. He bites, chokes, and headbutts Tarzan Boy. You can hear the crowd roar as Tarzan Boy makes his comeback in the second fall, but Satanico shamelessly low blows him. This feud has been thoroughly entertaining with the quality performances by Satanico and Tarzan Boy.
  8. This match was a bit clunky at times, but an okay watch. The turtle necks were a strange choice of wrestling attire. The double team finishing move at the end of the match was odd. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to hurt the knees or the arms.
  9. Average match. Building up Tigre Blanco and Arkangel de la Muete seemed to be the focus of the match. Nothing really stood out good or bad except for a sloppy dive by El Pantera that overshot his opponent.
  10. This started off with a funny skit. My Spanish is limited, but Blue Panther did a good job getting the point across through body language. Olimpico coming down on his neck was extremely nasty. This ended up a standard trios match that the injury probably shortened.
  11. Good match. The match was sort of plodding at times without the level of intensity to raise it to a great match, but it was a solid back and forth match. I liked the sequence where Kawada was avoiding the moonsault setup. I wanted to believe Kawada had the match won with the cross armbreaker, but Kobashi survived.
  12. Good match. My only negative comment on this one was early on when Vader was hitting Akiyama with the chair, Misawa didn't bother to come help his partner. Sometimes in All Japan, the teamwork seems lacking. Otherwise, the match had good selling and all the moves looked impactful. Taue had a nice performance, and the buildup for Vader and Akiyama has me ready to see the match.
  13. This was a fun match, but it verged on overkill at times. I think a 2 out of 3 falls format would have worked better here, so after a guy gets those triple team beatdowns, he could have been pinned instead of just getting back up and immediately going on offense. I liked their adoption of the American mannerisms and CIMA has that natural swagger that makes it easy to pull off. Sumo Fuji was really funny as he hammed it up. Dragon Kid's high flying continued to be impressive.
  14. I kind of liked Buchanan's promo, but otherwise there's not much to say about this one. The match turned into run-ins and a brawl that didn't leave much of an impression.
  15. This started off with push ups and sit ups. The heels should have attacked on the push ups. There were lots of little kids in the small crowd. The match was unremarkable as the heels looked increasingly lost as the match went on. Quackenbush performed the best in this match. He did a good job playing to the crowd, which is something we haven't seen from the indy up and comers so far.
  16. Westside Playaz had some cool double teams in the beginning of the match, but toward the middle, my attention began to wane. The match dragged on without building to anything. Below average match.
  17. They seemed to forget this was a hardcore match about halfway through. Buchanan's jumping up onto and off the ropes twas impressive. Buchanan is interesting in that he looks so much better than the other guys in the match, I can understand why WWE thought he had potential, but in WWE, I always thought he was tremendously bland. Below average match.
  18. Solid match. Young AJ Styles surprisingly kept the match rather basic and didn't delve into his later excesses. He showed his athleticism with his speed and some flips, but most of the match surrounded him selling damaged ribs. Styles is a guy that I've gone back and forth on in my opinion of his wrestling, so I look forward to reevaluating him.
  19. Below Average Match. Biohazard didn't look in shape. I don't think I've ever watched any early Necro Butcher before. Biohazard struggled with basic moves and dropped Necro Butcher on his shoulder during what I guess was supposed to be a suplex. The highlight of the match was the bat with light bulbs taped to it. Butcher was able to establish himself as someone who delights in pain, but it was a rather poor match.
  20. The wrestling in this match was competent, but nothing special. Rico doesn't demonstrate any charisma, so he comes across as a bland cookie cutter babyface. All the run-ins seemed like overkill.
  21. Good match. This was basically all Atlantis and Villano III as the others faded into the background. Poor Atlantis didn't seem like he was ever going to get his mask back. The way he got rammed into the chairs was a great visual. Atlantis and Villano III put on a good back and forth brawl to intensify their feud.
  22. Fun match. Satanico has great facial expressions to go along with his vicious kicks. The Infernales brought some nice double and triple teams. Tarzan Boy took a beating throughout the match, so I was happy he got to make the comeback and win.
  23. This was an average trios match with meandering brawling. Tinieblas was one tall guy. Some power moves instead of dropkicks and flying body presses would have suited him better. Shocker stood out as having heel charisma.
  24. Solid match. I would have like to seen what was clipped. Past his prime Vader just doesn't have the same intimidation factor. I liked the stretch of the match between Smith and Akiyama. Even though I knew he would eat the pinfall, Johnny Smith looked good in the match.
  25. I found this match disappointing. On the mat, Misawa didn't show the amount of struggle from underneath that a wrestler of his high level should. He was very compliant in allowing Hase to put him in holds, and then he didn't make the efforts to escape them other than scooting for the ropes. We should see some amount of pushback from him, such as grabbing Hase with his free arm, and not just lying there. I've never been a huge fan of Hase, but he should be credited for his variety of holds used on Misawa's arm. Since the elbow was increasingly his finisher over the years, I can accept Misawa sticking with it, but I would have rather seen him use something else. Not a bad match, but not what it could have been.
