I've been thinking about that recently. Why not throw random sport entertainers in there as relief every week or two? Well, I guess we know why, but it's a seemingly small thing that would freshen things up and give another outlet for some of the personalities.

whaaaaaaaa?

Someone recommended Rey's performance in the 2009 elimination chamber (No Way Out). Watched it for the first time and he is...really good in it. Watching it also let me know that someone named Mike Knox fought in a world title match on ppv.
-
Any chance they'll post those matches to the network's video vault? I know it's not new content, but it's at least a way to easily jump to a match (even if they usually cut off the promo package hyping the match and entrances) rather than fast forwarding a PPV and guessing when the match begins. Unrelated: I'm a sporadic viewer (watching something no more than a few times a week), but I have yet to see an ad.
-
Thought at first that the video package was an ad for the Rivalries series for the network. Was bummed at knowing I'd end up watching a Kane/Undertaker (one of the pairs shown in the promo) episode (though I guess that's probably coming anyway).

What do you fucking love more? This place or science? -
I suppose had you asked me I wouldn't have guessed that they were still running Smackdown in major venues. Are they doing a good job filling arenas like the Wells Fargo Center for a B show tv taping? Or is it just that some cities will always show up for shows (including house shows)?

Finally got a chance to see Vinnie Vegas' debut at the January '92 Clash. What was Vinnie supposed to be? He looked like a casino dealer*, but with Nash's charisma-that's-kind-of-not-charisma, I'm guessing a wiseguy of some form? *though JR said he looked like a maitre d at the riviera, which is probably not what they were going for -
At the end of his podcast interview with DDP, Austin mentions a dream of recording a commentary track with Bret Hart for their WM13 match (he also mentions solo commentary he was recording that he ditched after a few minutes). Another great idea (though I think some version of it has been proposed here and elsewhere) that will never be a reality!

Yes, this is a great service. Thank you from the cowboy hats family.

[1992-01-04-WCW-Saturday Night] Arn Anderson vs Dustin Rhodes

Glad to see a lot of chatter about mother of the year in the crowd (even if she was a plant, she was a committed plant). A play in four acts:- 19 replies

[1998-04-19-WCW-Spring Stampede] Sting vs Randy Savage
cowboy hats replied to Loss's topic in April 1998
Watched the full match completely out of context and...well, it wasn't much of a match. Sting no sells a piledriver moments before looking like he's out cold by a weak Savage chair shot (not as week as Liz's, as mentioned above, though that I can justify that being done to just distract ol' Stinger). Charles Robinson then lays completely motionless for five minutes after eating half a Stinger splash. Hogan pushes Savage off the ropes and assumes his work is done? Because only moments later Nash is out to interfere unrestricted. Big pop for the powerbomb. Hogan comes out with the Disciple to ham it up at the entrance ('that's my belt', etc.). Agree that this and the recap video to open the show makes it seem like Hogan and Nash are the real story.- 9 replies

[1997-04-06-WCW-Spring Stampede] Randy Savage vs DDP

Worth watching out for: just as the match begins outside, near the ring, Savage accidentally (?) kicks a pre-teen in the face as him and Page are working near the barrier. Savage's piledriver on Curtis was smooth as hell. -

I'm a pretty heavy lurker on baseball primer (http://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/newsstand/) and thought I saw it referenced here once. So that's two peeps? -
[1997-11-23-WCW-World War III] 60-Man Battle Royal
cowboy hats replied to Loss's topic in November 1997
The end is indeed garbage, but I watched the rest for my first WW3 experience. I assume all other years are unwatchable as well, yes? This just seems like a terrible concept with both viewer and announcer having no shot to follow anything in the first twenty minutes. 'rey mysterio just eliminated someone from ring six. i'm not sure who it was.' - the professor Bischoff with the weirdest looking cigar at the end -
Next MNW is extreme!!! A resume button finally popped up on the 360 app. Not sure how long it will save your space, but it's at least twelve(ish) hours.

[1998-07-26-WWF-Fully Loaded] Owen Hart vs Ken Shamrock (Dungeon Match)
cowboy hats replied to Loss's topic in July 1998
Shouldn't have read this before before I watched! Didn't live up to the hype for me. A few too many headslams against the walls and thought a ref bump in a five minute dungeon match was a bit much. Should re-watch it soon, though. JR asking a typically horrible Lawler 'why are you laughing?' when Lawler laughed at men being thrown into walls was nice to hear. In previous taped remote matches, would they still mic in the arena crowd? They didn't here and it was a little distracting.- 14 replies

But who is their Riki Racthman? Fatal flaw in your theory, Coffey.

As goodhelmet's nephew goes, so goes the wwe universe? I resubscribed. Way too much content for me to ever get through. I also love to complain about things, so re-upping fills that potential void in my life, but they make it so easy. Standard complaints remain (no uniform resume feature; live stream programmed by a lunatic, etc.) and new ones continue to develop. I'm never going to watch Raw from the beginning, but for those that were and got used to a six month routine of having one or two Raws uploaded (in order)...to see that stopped out of nowhere is incredible. I am weak and have no attention span, so if they continue to produce one hour specials I will watch most of them. But please let me never see DX invade WCW or McMahon appear on Nitro ever again. I was texting with a friend (lapsed fan, retains some interest in the product, and attended WM29 with me, but will never be fully engaged), trying to come up with the twenty (!) topics to be discussed on the MNW series (now that, after a few, we have an idea of how they are presenting things. So far: intro, NWO, DX, Foley (next episode) Possibilities: Austin, Austin/McMahon, Rock, Hart Foundation, Goldberg. Then it gets cloudy. Cruiserweights? Hardcore divisions? WCW 2000?

Addition to the list of little things they don't get right/don't care about/aren't consistent with: some matches in the video vault include entrances, some don't. No rhyme or reason.
