I don't buy for 1 second that a guy like Punk will stay away from wrestling for too long. It may take a long time until he's back in the WWE in some capacity, but I can totally see him having fun in the indys for a couple of shows or overseas late this year or in 2015.
-
There isn't a point in doing it. It just feels like Chicago would be the kinda crowd to do it just because
-
There's a RAW in Chicago on March 3rd. If this is legit, will we have another highjack? It seems it's the hip thing to do nowadays and a smark crowd like Chi-Town might want to take over.

I don't know, I just don't think Vince would be fine with a guy like Punk leaving with the Network and Wrestlemania just around the corner. So for him not to be pissed my only guess is that he reached some kind of agreement with Punk.
-
So people are reporting that Punk had a meeting with Vince were he told him he was leaving. At this point, we could've gotten a story about Vince being pissed as fuck if that was the case, no? He made the writing staff rewrite the show 2 hours before they went live and there was no mention of Punk...maybe he left in good terms or they agreed to some kinda deal?
-
So... Jeff Jarret found the star he needs for his new promotion? -- I'm kinda shocked that Punk was so burned out than he couldn't wait 5 months to leave in good terms and come back whenever he wanted and get the big returning superstar push that Batista is getting. It has to take a very high level of frustration to leave a lot on the table and just say "fuck it", and I didn't think Punk was THAT pissed with them.

I get Dave playing devil's advocate and trying to explain how management thinks but the post Rumble rant didn't make much sense to me. Bryan did bring ratings when he was WHC on SD!, but that didn't mean shit to anybody at the time. His 3 month run on top - that everyone agrees was impossible to get good results considering the circumstances - didn't bring major ratings but didn't bomb either. The only thing that showed was the he wasn't a ratings movers like Cena, big deal. Expecting a guy whose been treated like he doesn't belong as a top guy (which doesn't mean he's getting BURIED~!, that's nonsense and anyone with a brain knows that) to compete in house shows attendance against their Ace of the last 7 years, who is traveling in bigger markets and with a more powerful roster, AND has the only World Title in the company being defended in his shows is mind blowing. Asking any guy to overcome that is beyond insane...and that's why fans are so pissed off. Then he used Jeff Hardy as an example. He didn't have it easy at all, and he did overcome a lot of bullshit. But, he benefited from a long hiatus from the company and came back as a MUCH bigger star thanks to the nostalgia factor and fans craving for a new guy to be in the main event. He also had a much more solid roster in his house shows IIRC.

SD! Spoilers. The last 2 entrants for the Elimination Chamber are... I'm starting to believe the build to EC will be better than Mania's
-
They knew he was good because he showed a lot of promise in 09' before he went to the US.

The Okada case is interesting. In 2009 plenty of people (myself included) thought he was the most promising young lion New Japan had had in years. Then he went to TNA and the people that saw him there didn't think he was anything to write home about (I couldn't tell because I don't watch TNA). Then he came back for a 1 shot at Wrestle Kingdom V and people were disappointed by his performance. He went back to TNA for a year and then finally returned full time in 2012...were he had a lackluster match again, to the point where fans were baffled he was given a shot at Tanahashi in February. The rest is history as they say. So was he good/very promising at the very beginning, regressed for a couple of years and all of a sudden "improved" in the span of a month? Hmm.
-
My guess is they do a Three Threat Elimination match with Reigns eliminating Ambrose and Rollins.
-
If Bryan wins the crowd would be happy enough to not do much trolling (unless Orton vs Batista was following them) or highjacking but leading up to the match there would still be A LOT of complaining
-
Yeah, on one hand I'm happy as fuck we are actually going to see a Wyatts/Shield program. On the other, it's too bad it's only gonna last a couple of weeks and 1 PPV match. Shield is probably losing and splitting up after Elimination Chamber, and that frees up Bray to go after Cena at Wrestlemania...but shit, at least it's something. I know it's never going to happen but if they put that match inside the Chamber I might piss myself. Oh, and even though it's like 2 more RAWs away. I have a feeling that this EC build will be way more interesting and better than the Mania one. Once Sheamus turns on Bryan at the Chamber it's gonna be hell broking loose once again
-
Plus KENTA is not that young to begin with (he will turn 33 this March) and already had some serious injuries. Same can be said of Bryan though. Bryan hasn't had nearly the same amount of big injuries as KENTA.
-
Can someone explain to me what are they going to do with the Elimination Chamber match? Brock/Heyman have said over and over again they were getting the winner of Orton/Cena in a championship match. But he can't get a 1 on 1 match because then there would be no point for the Chamber... Are they really gonna book Brock in an EC with a bunch of other people? He's gonna injure at least a couple of top guys Does Taker makes a comeback tonight or in the coming weeks to delay Brock's quest till after Wrestlemania? Do we finally get a War Games type of match with a 6 man tag team inside the Chamber?

Cleveland. But Extreme Rules is in.....SEATTLE
-
I think Bryan entering like 25 and lasting until the last 6-3 people before he got thrown by Reigns, and then Batista throwing Reigns to win it would've been a disaster too. But it wouldn't have been this bad, I THINK.
-
Meltzer explained in his podcast that after talking to people in the company, they know he's over as fuck with everybody but the people who cheer for him don't spend money on him compared to other top stars. How in the world Vince and company think the best course of action is not hearing the crowd instead of doing everything in their power to translate those chants and cheers to a bunch of money, I will never understand. It's beyond moronic.
-
All that people still in the ring. Reigns about to feast or what?
-
Man, not even WWE's amazing promo crew could make that RAW ending something decent
-
Punk hit Bryan with a Curb Stomp in Over The Limit 2012.
-
So the "concussion" it's the excuse to not put him in the Rumble (it will backfire) or an heroic come back
-
Them betting odds changed too.
