Bryan got over because of his ring work and character development. Nobody really gets over because they have no real stories.

Los Infernales.

Greg Gagne! Admission time: I enjoy watching Greg and the High Flyers far more than other AWA faves Curt and Bock. Yeah I said it. Good to see Les Kellet get a little heads up, probably;y should've been on my list.

Loss, when is the ebook due? -

Pat Roach and Ohtani are two guys I really wanted to rate that I didn't get time for a fair handle on them. Run out of time for the shootstyle guys too. Slaughter, Hennig and Pirata Morgan just aren't at that level for me.

Done! Was up till 6am UK time with match sticks in the eyelids. Forget Mania, I spent the morning watching Hash and Liger matches. Forever procrastinator. Regretfully posted little in the threads although I look to make up for that in the next couple of weeks.

Can we have a definitive time? Us late commers will sweat a little less.

+1 on that. I was just about to post on him in the Am I Missing Something thread. His spots are impressive but there's no emotion or intensity there. And to be honest, unless he's in front of a smart crowd or working Byran/Cena he doesn't get much heat outside of those big spots. He reminds me of Neville in that respect. Can't cut a promo to save his life. Find it baffling people see him in main events

Cool. I like them guys but it seems I'm lower on them than everyone else here. Morgan vs Satanico, Dandy and Volader were good and great match ups, Fuerza is the kind of guy I'm predisposed to like and him vs Octagon was almost really good. But nothing hit me in the gut. Guess I'll have to focus more on trios? We'll see if things change as I dive into watching >1994..

Then you need to pick him back up! Out of curiosity do you see him below Fuerza and Morgan?

The rudo team of La Parka/Satanico/Fuerza had me drooling so I couldn't resist watching the trios match elliot posted. It was as fun as expected but The Moment of the match belonged to Parka. I've spent the last week balls deep in the best of 80s and 90s lucha and it's been a blast, but one minor bugbear I've had is the willingly foolish portrayal of the techincos - they fall for that fake handshake deal every time. So I stood up and cheered when La Parka's false joviality was proved useless and he took a fist to the face. He's the first guy I've seen turn that trope on it's head and he immediately stood out. I've only seen 90s AAA La Parka but he's one of those guys that you can tell is an instant lock. It's acts like him that keep me tuned in to wrestling, keep the flame burning.

It's the Undertaker. He doesn't have a chance but he does have an Immaculate Collection: vs Hulk SS vs Bret vs Shawn various vs Brock various vs Batista vs Festus etc.

Top ten guy. Being the greatest stooge in history would have been enough but his ability, agility and versatility are just a few things that give him tip top eligibility. He stirs a crowd like no other, the "calm down, calm down!" hand gestures are foolproof and I wonder why nobody has adopted it. He's a master. Bock's the 'Thinking man's wrestler', Buddy's the 'Thinking man's wrestler that gives fun and smiles before kicking you in the teeth'.

Great to see these posts from Dylan and I hope it inspires posters that hadn't considered giving the joshi girls a look. The prospect of Hokuto not making the overall 100 one of the reasons I decided to make a list. There's a story behind the Sato match but I'm sketchy on the details. Pretty sure Kandori was asked ton shoot on her. The pace and the presence are the two things that immediately leap off the screen with Kandori. She small buts feels like the biggest wrestler in the ring. She's a slugger that will grind you down, bring you into her world where you play by her rules. Time permitting, I look forward to refreshing myself with her work.

Looking forward to the Shawn post Jimmy. Speaking of Shawn, It's cool to hear some rational thoughts on him from Chad. The guy merits more of a look than the "he's an asshole", "greatest of all time!", "I can list 500 wrestlers better" type reactions he triggers. I liked your original placings of Misawa/Kobashi Parv. BIGLAV had a good point in regards to their variety vs the other GOAT contenders.

Sarjeant is phenomenal in everything we've got of him. I can't say footage is an issue for me when it's clear your so good. His bridging and manoeuvring is out of this world. He's also a fellow Romford boy and there's no chance of him missing my list.

Anyone still on the fence about voting or even considering AJ (because TNA) should try and find a spare twenty minutes and give the Joe Turning Point match a look. Not only will you find an out of this world performance from Styles but a legit match of the century contender. Stick on an LP, watch the match on mute and get ready for a ride. I've been critical of Styles. I find his early indie work to be fairly bland and emotionless, and until recent years his work would lose its focus in certain situations and environments. For example, his great 2005 run had blunders like the Daniels matches and the terrible three way. The guy who said he needed 'reigning in' might be right. But the good outings are too good to ignore. While his facials and body language never became compelling Styles has found ways to express himself and his character through his in ring work. In the Turning Point match he jumps Joe at the bell and throws everything at the wall. You just know in his head he is thinking "I'm fucked anyway, nothing to loose, jump into the deep end!" It comes through in every strike and desperate flurry. He ends up surprised at his own success and briefly slips into cockiness as he takes on Joe toe to toe at his own game and it nearly costs him. His work against the Abyss is more calculated and rational - throw yourself at the giant but keep as much distance as possible. He pulls out perhaps the best cat and mouse performance of all time in their cage match. The springboard DDT is a bit too cute for my tastes but otherwise his offence is brilliant. Fluid, smooth, often dazzling yet stiff and hurty. He could always brawl, fly and work the mat and he's stuck all them bits together to become one of the best in the world. He'll sell you a limb (vs Suzuki) and build a hot match in any setting (vs Rave, his recent WWE tags) . Bumps like a champ. He's a terrible promo and should probably clean up his look but he's no lower than top 75.

Sara Del Rey would have made my list if I'd realised she was missing. Her monster heel run on the Indies murdering dollies and getting good stuff out of green future (nxt) stars was too fun to overlook.

I didn't know where to put this - just wanted to say that this place has been on fire lately. The content in the GWE threads has not only inspired me to put together my own list but it has sparked my interest in watching wrestling again. And I'm loving it again. I guess I've learned that it will never truly go away.

If I was to make a list it would go a bit like this; Chigusa > Rey > Cena >Santito > Bret. Steamboat just a notch below. Martel/Tito don't get a look in.

I love you Parv, I really do, but I want to fucking burn this post and I'd risk taking down the whole forum with it. As you were . .
