  1. Arn. Top 15 candidate. Morton is likely to be top 20, top 30 for sure. Bobby somewhere close by. Condrey is a possibility for the list once I watch more mid south. It breaks my heart but the Steiner bros and Sweet Stan will miss the cut.
  2. Wow, got Grimmas begging over here. Goc, I did say that. I've already gone over Charlotte in the other thread. I'll probably look at Miz tomorrow.
  3. I will give Charlotte this; better figure four.
  4. Had no idea about the ramifications of Dusty's spike to the eye. "Dusty shares a lot of similarities with Tito. Not Tito Santana but the Yugoslavian dictator". Best of these shows so far for me.
  5. Says "Bad Little Kitten". Is that your Grindr name, too? Seriously, I'm looking for some fun. Oi, homophobe!
  6. Watched a couple of Charlotte matches, vs Sasha and vs Bayley. The first was a very good match. Banks is already a good ring general. Flair isn't very good at garnering sympathy but her pissed off come back was good. This had a hot finishing stretch. Occasional sloppiness from both girls but nothing near horrible. Good match. The Bayley match (takeover 2) wasn't very good at all. The only bright spot were Bayley's comebacks. Some bad botches and a shitty looking moonsault from Charlotte. Doubt anybody would be calling this 'really good' if it were two guys. Might watch the three way later. From that sample and other stuff I've seen, Charlotte doesn't have any particularly good offence. Her chops suck and her finisher is rotten even by WWE standards. She also isn't very sympathetic as a babyface. On the positive side, she's got good size and presence, shows good fire and has a couple of cool spots (electric chair drop, moonsault when she can hit it). With enough improvements to her striking and selling as well as some character refinement, you never know. She may be as good as Miz one day.
  7. What are the best NXT Paige matches (that didn't involve Emma)?
  8. How about Savage? Is there much beyond the Lawler feud and the fabulous Jerry Oski match? Also, Jaguar Yokota (classic feud with La Galactica, vs Lioness, various tags) Chigusa (underrated epic with Lioness, 8/22 Devil match, legendary Dump hair vs hair match) and Dump Matsumoto (Chigusa feud, Devil match) are no brainers for me.
  9. Hope this is as long as the previous episode. Looking forward to the slaying of Jim Herd, Flair vs Dusty and more 'aiight's from Kris.
  10. That's not what he said. He said Bayley is a jailbait retarded character. Every wrestler (except Sasha) can't lace The Miz's boots and that AJ was just there to get creeps to watch. What in those statements treats men and women equally? If his opinion was as you stated there would be no problem. I would disagree, but it wouldn't be a sexist attitude Blimey Grimmas you're even more dim than I originally thought.

  12. Lucha referees frenzied finger wagging during submissions.
  13. It's not what I think, that's the WWEs attitude and portrayal of women and has been forever. I don't think Charlotte, Bayley, Brie, Fox, Emma etc. are any where near as good as the Miz on any level. That doesn't mean I hate women. Fact is I want women's wrestling to do well. I'm a fan of any wrestling that's good. I watched the majority of the Shimmer catalogue and found it fun for the most part. Outside of a handful (Sara, Mellissa, Serena, Madison Eagles) the work wasn't particularly good. I don't know if that is on training, the talent pool or opportunities but putting your blinders on, covering your ears and shouting'sexist!' is the easier answer I guess. But Shimmer had other positives- distinctive characters, logical booking, simple effective storytelling . . things that WWE aren't capable of outside of NXT. Sub par wrestlers in pointless paper thin programs isn't something I want to see.
  14. I'm a sexist because I don't think the divas are particularly good?
  15. No it shows how little you pay attention. The last time I checked Bayley was playing with robots, talking like a simple twelve year old. And like skippy, hair twirling AJ we know it's aimed at creepy clammy men like yourself (if you wanna throw insults!) rather than children, cos WWE is cynical like that.
  16. Sasha is head and shoulders above the rest. The others couldn't lace the Miz's boots. I don't know if Bayley will get over in WWE but she is their ideal diva character. AJ Lee's dubious jailbaiting spliced with classic diva retardation.
  17. I'd rather WWE devote more time to crafting compelling characters and fresh storylines for the mid card guys than the divas - who have a fraction of their talent.
  18. The way Dylan feels about Jumbo is pretty much how I feel about Misawa. I find Jumbo with his fist pumping and goofy 'aahhh's kind of endearing. Temperamental Jumbo taking shortcuts against the young guns is supremely 'entertaining' to me. Misawa works stiff sure, but I've never felt that state of urgency and violence with him. He's quite an unremarkable looking bloke with his belly and wretched green tights. Misawa appears plenty of times in my greatest match list. But looking over the entrys I struggle to remember any moments that stood out in them or emotions stirred up.
  19. Big fan of AJs current NJ run but watching that Daniels iron man reminded me why I've never cared for him in the long run. He's like the guy you created on No Mercy you gave all the cool moves to because they're cool movez and you're twelve years old. Video game wrestler is what I'm saying. There's no sense of scale to what he does. A pumphandle gutbuster doesn't feel much bigger than a snapmare. No emotion. In terms of selling and working underneath he's a few grades above Adrian Neville. He has the odd glimmer of greatness but ultimately his work's aged poorly like many guys from that era.
  20. Natalya, Paige, Naomi, Nikki Bella, and Alicia Fox all range from decent to really good workers. Even on the main roster the talent is present; it all comes back to presentation and conditioning of the audience. None of them are really good workers. Nikki Bella hasn't done anything memorable ever except throw a solid forearm which somehow now makes her a good worker around here, Naomi is average, Paige, Natalya and Alicia Fox have shown some glimpses of quality but compared to their overall output it would be equivalent to calling Kofi Kingston a really good worker. Exactly. Seems like if a diva goes a match or two without doing something embarrassing they're sunddenly 'good workers'
  21. Could you list them for me. The Natalya match was awesome although it was majorly helped by the story and bells and whistles.
  22. The referee's plastic samurai suit of armour in the Funk/Onita death match.
  23. Are you saying the women in NXT are money drawing stars? How did you calculate that? She's charismatic but I'm not sure I'd want a pushed division built around Charlotte Flair. She kinda stinks.
  24. A name that I'd always hear about but would ultimately avoid because of the whole umm . . death match thing. I've binge watched Onita for two days straight. That's why I love this place. I'm sure it's been said plenty before, but the No Rope Exploding Barbwire Timbomb Texas Holocaust Death Match association under sells Onita. He really is a complete pro wrestler. Great sense of timing, fun offense, good expressions, MASSIVE finishing move, takes a beating like a champ. Great brawler and thrower of bombs. Lovely theme music. Even the headbutts - which would be annoying as fuck in the hands of any modern Japanese worker -are purposeful and satisfying. Goes down in a bunch of flames.
