  1. Curiosity got the better of me and I just spent the last 15 mins watching this. "What a scientific move!" 😁 Fuck, I love Bill Dundee.
  2. I'm glad to see this. I'm new to Atlantis and lucha in general. I've just finished watching him vs Satanico and was about to post a rant about how Atlantis' constant need for crowd approval and his awful backyarder selling stopped a good match from being fairly great. I hope he turns me round cos I kinda hate him at the moment.
  3. Rocket from the Crypt's avatar reminded me . . SMW Ron Wright and heels on wheels/crutches in general. The wild eyed southern boy's fired up, cliche ridden, stumbling babyface promos also in SMW. 1980s AJW themes.
  4. I wish they had never split up the Shield. 😢 😥
  5. I like the Miz.
  6. That moment you realise you're watching a great match/wreslter you've never seen before.
  7. The holds, escapes and reversals in WOS and lucha. Seeing cool moves, bumps etc. for the first time. El Hijo del Santos armdrag . . Wtf? Heel prat falls and daft bumps. Perro Aguayo's furry boots n' blows.
  8. The Neville match felt fresh and unexpected. I'm shocked that someone would use the Kevin Dunn Conspiracy to shit on it. This wasn't Charlotte Flair. Neville had a competitive match where he got his shine (yes he did) and the crowd ate it up. He was put over as a future prospect that can go toe to to with the world champion. Made both look credible and the champ came out of it with extra prick heat. They need to do a hot, top of the hour Miztv segment where Mizdow gets to show his comedy chops with Miz delivering a beat down. The feud is in danger of fizzling out. I'm enjoying the new directions of Sheamus, New Day and the Prime Time Playas so far. Gosh Stardust is crap. I like the open challenge idea but Cena's looked rotten the last couple of weeks and the challengers haven't helped. Fairly decent show for such a depleted roster. Crowd was awesome.
  9. She doesn't have the nearly as much stand out matches as the other Josh greats, but I think you can put that down to lack of quality opposition. Part of me thinks that Kana may have surpassed her at this point. I need to watch more. Fact is, Meiko's one of the most fun offensive wrestlers of all time so she has an outside chance.
  10. He's the 'ace' of my favourite indie promotion so I'm going to find room for him. Allmark has his flaws but not enough to take away from the sterling job he does in his role. He's handy on the mat, times his comebacks well and builds to a hot fun finish. Formulaic? Yes, but, like Kyle Matthews (who also has a shot at my list), he always draws me in. He gets kids from the flats standing in their chairs waving their foam fingers, which is something I value highly. Also his youtube channel's a godsend.
  11. Spindly, ginger permed AJW Sherri Martel could barely stand up straight let alone run the ropes.
  12. So none of you network owners have thought about the shill of your lifetime? Disappointed in you guys.
  13. From the little footage I've seen, guy looks fabulous. Great strikes, on the mat, great at taking a beating. Tricky babyface comebacks as breath taking and electric as Yokota's. I'll find a place for him.
  14. Dp dipshit.
  15. Current favorite wrestler to watch: Steve Grey. Tremendous welterweight style wrestler. Loving WOS at the moment, so fun and easy to watch. Grey (along with Romford's own Alan Sarjeant) is the first guy to leap out at me since Breaks. Last fun match you saw: Reigns vs Brock. Blow away match. I thought it had a chance of being good but fuck me. Honestly, Brock's a shoe in for my top 100 off his post come back work alone. Wrestler you want to see more of: Sangre Chicana. The first time I ever saw Chicana he was squaring up to Andre. Chewing gum, full of swagger getting all in his face. Andre flinches. Sangre melts. He meekly goes back to his corner, tail between his legs. I knew instantly I had a new favourite. I'm just starting to get into lucha so you could add about a dozen more. Match you're most looking forward to watching: The famous Ted/Duggan match from mid south. Been really impressed with Dibiase's work on the set so far. Butch Reed too. Last fun interview/promo you saw: Reigns cool, calm Smackdown interview. They've done a much better job of presenting him as tough guy lately. Last interesting thing you read about wrestling: The only thing I read are faces. Last worthwhile podcast you listened to: The super show on 70s Mr Fuji. Most fun you've had watching wrestling lately: Sitting back and sinking a few beers with wrestlemania. A show that far exceeded expectations and (ever so slightly) sparked my interest in WWE again. Favorite recent post on this board: OJ's lucha and European threads have been a great resource. Favorite thing about the wrestling landscape in the past three months (if you live in the past, then go with your past three months of time-traveling): Brock Lesnar, natch.
  16. Faster paced, action packed, exciting wrestling with premium production values. What's the point in this post?
  17. Eh, forget the daughter thing. She's clearly Carmela. That's why we love to hate her.
  18. Weren't the Bella's 'talent free models'? I hear they're all the rage now.
  19. With the minute silence after the intro i thought I'd been April fooled into an invisible show. Glad I was wrong. The Shire/Patterson/Tanaka story is amazing. Parv's musings on race and wrestling is why I love Parv.
  20. Group 1 also like to back who they perceive as being held down or underutilized by the WWE machince. Orton, Reigns, Sheamus, booed out of the builiding. Ziggler, Bryan, Mizdow, heroes. Ryback's been through such a shit shower even he's 180-ed onto the list.
  21. Have mixed feelings about Mania this year. In isolation it was a great show that far surpassed my (low) expectations. The Mizdow/Show stand off, Flair chopping Steamboat, THAT Rusev entrance and the brutal, brilliant main event were among the highlights. Even HHH/Sting was fun as a nostalgic wankfest. I only ended up skipping Bray/Taker and the Divs but the crowd seemed hot throughout. Know nothing about Rousey but she felt like a bigger star than any woman has in 15 years. As a stand alone event it was fun and the results felt perfectly satisfying. But it does little to heighten my interest going forward.
  22. For all the shit we give WWE about their stop-start pushes, I'm definitely ready for them to give up on Bray Wyatt and toss him in the Adam Rose/Fandango trash heap. As somebody who no longer watches I'm curius. . Is Wyatt still over with the live crowds? How are his promos received? I think Bray could be tolerable if he went face and dropped some of the gimmicky shit from his promos.
  23. Out of curiosity Loss what did you make of Zayn/Owens from the last special?
  24. I love Mason but then I enjoy the happy clappy ASW style. I like the way he plods around the ring, pulling at his straps chipper as a chimney sweeper. He just oozes old school. I'd put the likes of Robbie Dynamite above him but he's certainly not someone I'd write off. https://m.youtube.com/watch?index=3&list=UUK7K1c0TLzKY0gVJqT1xeLA&v=5-su5mp39G4 This All Star tag is awesome and one of my favourite matches anywhere in the world a couple of years back. It's WOS meets southern tag. All four guys are fabulous.
  25. Oi, don't be lumping us Brits with the bloody French, pal.
