When did the IC title nose dive for you?
Badlittlekitten replied to Sidebottom's topic in Pro Wrestling
For me it was when tag team star Marty Jannety won it in 93. He was the first (babyface) guy, in my young fandom, that I couldn't picture hitting the main events after his int. Title run. -
Sexy Lexy is the only person left whose induction I'd be excited by. Don't see it happening any time soon.
-
Well it is worse because it doesn't have Cena in it and neither guy is near as hot as Miz was then.
-
I'm listening to it too. The njpw stuff is expected but him saying lucha underground has a more talented roster than wwe caught me by surprise.

Keeping the integrity of the list - a case against strategic voting.

I didn't come into this thread (or, well . . any thread) expecting to see a Volk Han/Slint comparison, but there it is! Never change Parv. (Spiderland is awesome.) -
I'll kind of miss him. Shine on you mad creepy diamond.

The triple threat spotfest was a ton fun on smackdown this week. Nice to see Tyson Kidd in use. Don't know how UK crowds become so insufferable.

Top 20 theme song of all time. -
Dunno, the crowd were even quieter for the Tyson Kidd match. Granted, it's Tyson Kidd but Sheamus would be getting more response if people cared. Oh ffs. Not him again.
-
It's time to turn Sheamus now. The crowd didn't give a shit about him last night. Put him on team authority. I kind of enjoy Rollins as the cocky/chickenshit heel but the Authority needs someone with more credibility. And please, stop giving him a live mic. It's frustrating seeing Ambrose being pushed as a midcard comedy act. Not a terrible show.

This will raise a few eyebrows. Bear in mind I've still got some puro, indies and all lucha to get through by 2016. I find it difficult to be fully objective with these things. Putting together a list of 'greatest wrestlers ever' is twice as hard and half as fun to me, although I greatly appreciate those that do it that way. 'Favourites' themselves are a hard thing to measure. I guess my list will reflect those that I have the most desire to watch right now. Them 90s All Japan matches were awesome and exciting and Misawa, Taue and Kobashi have a place towards the bottom of my list (Kawada will be higher). But when I go to youtube I'm going to want to watch Abdullah stabbing someone's ear off. Kevin Sullivan doing some batshit 'word association' game on SMW Tv is more entertaining than Tito Santana's entire career. I'm willing to back all my choices btw. Part of me wanted to include Jackie Pallo - the funniest wrestler I've ever seen - but ranking someone off the back of one recorded match is perhaps a step too far.

Not all the Diva's are useless. That's been proven on NXT. Rebecca Knox (Becky Lynch) was genuinely good from what I've seen on the indies. But with its positioning, presentation and match layout, it's clear the company doesn't care about the division outside of NXT. And I don't care to watch it.

Left Out in the Cold - Who will NOT make your list?

100 heels. (I may take it easy on Bret, Cena and Chigusa. So 97 actually). -
Left Out in the Cold - Who will NOT make your list?
Badlittlekitten replied to goodhelmet's topic in 2016
Tito Santana won't make my list. Martel and Hennig will likely be left in the cold too. -
Well yeah, it doesn't matter. It's still the same "bitches be crazy!" nonsense filler as ever. Rubbish.
-
The Divas division is as shitty as it has always been. Scrap it and leave it to NXT. Fill out Raw with midgets.
-
Misawa. The bloke was in some good and great matches but none of them really left a mark. He's not somebody I care to watch again. There's no connection there. The least interesting person in them big AJ tags.
-
Look at him. I'll say more when I'm not tired/brain dead. I love the cocky bastard.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Badlittlekitten replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
Just started catching up with all the Greatest Wrestler Ever stuff. Wow. I fucking love this place. -
Abdullah -along with Dump - will be in the top half of my list, no doubt about it. A scary, mesmerising storm of violence. Wrestling's sorely missing these kind of acts today.

Ban funckdoc until he gets his shift key working.
-
I love you as you are, babe. Don't change a thing.

Glad I caught Smackdown this week. It's always nice to see Cena on the blue. The ten man tag was fun. The awesome new hoss team of Henry/Show were the highlight, smashing the shite out of Rollins early on. He should be banned from live mics but I'm starting to enjoy Seth in his current role. He's funny as the cocky little shit that taunts his opponents with their own taunt/moves. I was surprised how much Nebraska loved Jericho. They've done a fairly good job of presenting him like a top act since his return. Bray is really flat though. That awful Cena feud did him in. He felt like the tenth wheel in this match. (whatever that means) I've been avoiding this for a little while but, umm . . . . Roman Reigns is a bit rubbish. Finding it hard to care about him, really vanilla. Fairly bad looking signature spots, awkward selling, a 'powerhouse' with no fun strength spots. He'd look daft in there against Lesnar. Brock will crush him like a grape. The best work in the match might have been on the outside. The babyface team had what are surely the best apron workers on the planet. The new commentator bloke was a non-factor. Sheamus was good during his stint although I'm the only person on the internet that enjoys his babyface character. Bryan, Barrett and now dear Ambrose are sorely missed. What's happened to Big E?
