You mean besides the people who regularly watch NXT and glad not to see them anymore What does Triple H see in them? They held the belts for ages.
  2. Do you mean old PPVs? If so, they're not cropping them. They were shot in 4:3. The bars are just filling in your 16:9 screen. Yeah thats what I meant. Any ideas what the first PPV is when they stopped using those bars.
  3. Totally agree. Amazing how much talent was in that match that not one person looked out of place. Freebirds/Taylor & Valentine wasent bad either I remember the highlights on Worldwide and enjoyed it.
  4. That makes sense. They aren't going to pay Rock's mindblowing fee for a match against Rusev. No, it's probably going to be Brock (which means Brock will probably lose the title tonight), if indeed Rock has returned for a match against Mania. I can't see them doing Brock vs. Rock with the title on the line. So where does that leave everybody else? Does Bryan win the Rumble and Rollins wins the title for that match? Or do they just pass over Bryan again, have Reigns win the Rumble and take on Rollins for the title? Or does Cena win the title and face Reigns at Mania? Where did this suddenly come from its the first Ive heard about Rock and WWE in 2015. I guess Outlaws will be jobbing.

Looking at whats in tonights Rumble is it pretty obvious the Outlaws are jobbing tonight? I havent found one fan who has any positive thought about the Assentions move to the main roster at all. Will WWE swerve us tonight with making us think Reigns is winning and it ends up being Bryan or are they just wanting Brock to be a face so they can have Reigns boo out of the building when he chucks Bryan out.
  7. I dont mind RVD doing a timeline but I feel that 1999 was the wrong person to choose as I dont recall him being there the full year as he was injured wasent he when he broke his leg?
  8. When did they stop cropping the shows on the network with PPVs ie those black bars.
  9. That was a very odd match looking back on it. When you think of a Taker match at Mania ending in a DQ. Question is who honestly would have been the best choice to face Taker at mania in 1993? Randy Savage?

I feel the RR JTS a long time ago. The back-to-back wins, the double eliminations, Vince winning the whole damn thing, number 1 having as many wins as number 30, etc. RR is fun- but every year I grow less excited as I can pretty much predict the final 4 and winner. I want the RR to be completely random and have someone like Xavier Woods or Kofi or Fandango win. The RR needs a reset. I remember marking out during the 40-man Royal Rumble when the final two was Del Rio & Santino. I genuinely thought Santino might have a shot! I'm such a mark. Kevin Nash got a massive pop when he came out Diesel. Pretty much creative should have booked him to win the Rumble.

Well they used to be. The early ones like when Hogan won his two rumbles was in the 20s numbers, Flair at 3 was a bit yeah ok he wont last, but 1995 one was slightly embarrasing at the number 1 pick winning. Numbers 1 - 10 shouldnt really be having any chance of being in the last 5 men. One of my local news sites that has nothing to do with wrestling has printed a article where Bryan wants Brock at Mania. This is the first ive herd of considering Reigns has been written to win the Rumble for months.
  13. I dont blame Marc. I always felt WWE sabotaged his career, I was a massive Johnny B Badd fan when he wrestled for WCW but all they wanted was Sable. Vince seemed a tad obsessed with Sable for my liking which in turn made the fans root for her all the time. Marc could have been a fantastic World Champ if given the opportunity which is something I would have loved to seen in WCW. If Warrior hadent been fired in Summer 1991 would Taker's streak still have gone on over the years? This is something Ive always wondered as they had Taker & Warrior feuding over the summer months on the house shows & they did the angle on TV with Warrior getting conned by Jake & Taker and seems somewhere they would have faced off at a major PPV. Maybe they would have continued the storyline where Warrior beats Taker at Mania as I just couldnt see Undertaker going over in a big match against the two. I know you always had Taker winning at mania but back then maybe they didnt think about doing this undefeated thing.
  14. Vince McMahon also copied the same thing several years later during the Orton/Taker feud.
  15. Is the original MSG intro music unedited as kinda wondered if it is what the original sounded like. Is it true about WWE scrapping original stuff as a way of a cost cutting measure?
  16. If Dustin hadent got fired and Hogan not brought in 94 I reckon Dustin would be a great choice to feud with Flair considering how Rude was out of action.
  17. Russo didnt help but if anyone deserves the blame for killing WCW its whoever in time warner pulled the plug.
  18. Great pick. Pillman never crossed my mind. His work in WCW was incredibly underrated, as not just a tag team wrestler but as a singles guy as well, he excelled in both roles, which is something of a rarity. WCW were never going to give him a push as a serious heavyweight though, I think that's what the biggest problem in that company was. The glass ceiling was firmly intact above his head with Bischoff and company. Still, even in his WWF run, I think had he been in good health (and not died as a result), they may have eventually had cause to push him as a main event talent. Certainly, Pillman would have been right at home during the Attitude era. Who knows, maybe he would have been so popular that he would have supplanted The Rock as Austin's career rival? Then again, you have to consider whether or not he would have left the WWF following the Montreal Screw Job, out of loyalty to the Hart Family (as a close friend and student of Stu's)? Would WCW even take him back? Probably, given the time frame and desire to pinch as many WWF names as they could, but then, he'd probably never amount to anything more than what Bulldog and Anvil did in WCW. Would the WCW fans have even bought a lightweight wrestler holding a World title? You had plenty of guys in the main event scene and I dont think there was room for Pillman as a serious contender to the crown. It wasent a bad thing who had the belt then, dont know why fans say thats what the biggest problem in WCW was as it was fine who it was holding the title. The final year of WCW yeah id agree with but before that nope.
  19. When I was a kid reading PWI, some kid at school saw the date was two months from then and assumed that it was proof of wrestling being fake because I was reading about things that hadn't happened yet. So, I had to flip to the ratings page and show the "for period ended" date, which showed what time frame it was actually covering. I ended up tending my wrestlemania 5 tape to a few people who had never seen the american stuff. Time I got it back I think a few people had borrowed.
  20. Are WWE just rereleasing stuff from the 24/7 channel that they used to have?

It's crazy they didn't even think about doing an eventual Harper face-turn by him breaking free of Wyatt. There's just no long-term planning any more and it shouldn't be a shock since it feels like it's been that way since around 2009 or so but it's so frustrating thinking of how many opportunities have been wasted, even minor ones like this. I was suprised they even broke the Wyatt's up least giving one of them the Intercontinental belt. Shield was expected but the Wyatt's seemed a close tag team. I suppose the ratings show more fans will watch when Legends of the past appear.
  22. What happened to the magazines? One minute you saw Wrestling Eye, PWI, Inside Wrestling, Wrestling Superstars, New Wave Wrestling and aload of other mags and I think around 96 time none of them got stocked apart from PWI. The internet was in its infant stage in the UK so it couldnt be the case of the Net killed all the mags. Used to enjoy reading those mags as they showed me stuff I didnt know like Crush in PNW, The Larry Winters/DC Drake scissors match & New Wave did even give a complete list of every Hulk Hogan match while he was champion during his original run.
  23. That sounds about right. That was one of the reasons why I sold my Anthologies.
  24. Yeah. He could show in WCW in 95 he could still go. They really should have booked him better in WWF and he would have stayed. When you look at Mania 10 which was 10 years in the making as the New generation of WWF Stars were breaking in how cool would it have been if the leader of that Generation Bret clashed with the leader of the old Gen Macho in a epic encounter at Wrestlemania 10. Considering Backlund got put back in the main event scene in 94 anythings possible. Vince even hinted on Raw that if Randy could beat Yoko for the belt that he would fight Luger at Mania and then Bret. Personally I would have done the title change right there and then on Raw as its the better choice.
  25. Im quite suprised after his run with the US belt he didnt get a run with the world belt.
