  1. I dont blame whoever it was called 1995 the worst because going by the actual Rumble itself was just pants. Started with Shawn & Davey and both lasted to the end which is a terrible idea. Nothing against those two because they are great wrestlers but the idea of starting numbers 1 and 2 being also the final 2 doesnt sound good. Having people come out at 30 seconds because the Bret/Diesel match went on longer and people got eliminated quicker too isnt something I liked. The undercard matches were alot better with the Kid/Holly walking out with the belts is probably my fav match of the night. Razor/Jarrett I expected Ramon to smack Jarrett about and walk out with the belt so didnt enjoy the idea of jarrett taking the belt or the mess that happened at Mania ie Razor not winning the title back. Bret/Diesel was a good batch enjoyed this and odd to see a face vs face title match. Decision not so much just eject the heels from ringside and continue the match. Taker/IRS yeah I liked this match, could have been cut a few mins short but no complaints from me.

Some of the booking leading up to the Rumble was insanely odd for me. Bryan beating Cena cleanly at Summerslam which I personally would have kept for a Wrestlemania, even though it felt a waste of time when Hunter just Pedigreed Bryan so Orton could take the belt. So Bryan gets a rematch and they bring HBK in a big favourite only to screw Bryan over? I know he's Hunters friend but really that sucked. It might have been better to just have Bryan hold the belt from Summerslam to past the Rumble and then have Orton cash in the title shot in a February Raw around the time the Network was happening. So you have the Chamber match where Bryan gets his rematch only for Hunter to cost him which then leads to what happened at Mania. Then in April we get Batista defending against Bryan. Im guessing Punk would have still walked out in January even if this scenario happened.
  3. I don't know what Dave could really have that no one else doesn't WWF wise. The only way would be if someone from inside was hooking him up with stuff that was taped but not aired, which doesn't seem like it would be much. I could see him having some stuff from other territories or Japan that the recorders missed. Probably doesn't matter though as I'd think most of his stuff is ruined anyway from sitting in his shed, OUTSIDE, for 30 years. I remember him talking about seeing the Bret v Tom Magee match on tape at some stage. Fairly sure he's in a minority there... What was signifficant about this match? Was this Bret's first ever WWF debut?
  4. Weird, I just watched the first episode of TE Season 1 last night, and I don't remember Morrison being on it. Was it a blink and you miss it thing? That pic of Dunn in the same shot as Mooney. Which show was that from?
  5. The build up to this match was amazing. Every time you saw a Smackdown Bob got the upperhand every time and it looked like he was going to take the belt alough the big match on PPV seemed a bit short. I did like the LMS match at the Rumble. It was a good bloodfest and Shawn bled loads. Id say the only thing I hated about it would be the ending how it ended in a draw especially for a PPV match that people are paying to see. Yes it was to further the feud between the two at Mania with Benoit added in but it be nice to see someone walk out with their hand raised. I think thats one thing that bugged me with WWE especially on one of the big four PPVs when you get a lousy decision on a Championship match. Maybe if Shawn hadent been so obsessed with the I dont want the World Title back then maybe we would have seen a few more title changes as I think he was forced to be the champion at Survivor Series.
  6. Id probably say the Summerslam 2001 match was miles better than the rematch. Its kinda odd in a way that just because Austin is the heel and Angle is the face that Kurt kicks out of not one, but 3 Stunners which is something you would never see when Austin was the face.

Yes and no. No I didnt watch the entire PPV but yes I watched the Rumble match in full because Kofi did some crazy spot on the outside. The only reason they rejected him that I noticed was because he wasent in a condition to wrestle. Ie the Scott Steiner way as in very winded in the match. The stuff that happenned on Twitter was a bit over the top. Could you imagine how it would have been a decade and a half ago had we had Twitter then? The fans would of complained no end over HHH going over at mania 2000. He was rejected because he was the one picked to win the Rumble when everybody wanted Bryan too and not some returning guy who hasn't wrestled in years. I almost forgot about Rey. Yes he got booed out of the building and they all cheered for him when he went out. I just saw that as a total disrespect from the fans just because the guy they wanted wasent in the Rumble. What if Bryan had been defending the belt against Orton at the show. Would they still have booed? Mick Foley did over react though smashing his TV up just because of that. Still if you have plenty of cash in the bank I guess you can afford it.
  8. Id imagine any chance of seeing a photo of the two would have to come down to the Battle Royal at the Albert hall as Andre made a appearance at the end of the show & Taker was in that match.
  9. Is it really true that Sid had Mania main event written into his contract? Ive heard rumours about this for years and always wondered. No wonder they were screwed and couldnt do Flair/Hogan by changing it. I know Hulk wanted to do films and stuff but it just seems odd to write a main event into someones contract.

  11. Is there any likelyhood of Dave owning any rare WWF Televised shows? I know we are lacking alot of Spotlight but Im having a hard time trying to think of anything that he could have thats not out in the trading community.
  12. I hope you are not talking about their WM12 match? My top 100 WWE matches of all time DO NOT INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: HBK/Taker WM25 HBK/Hart WM12 Razor/HBK WM10 I just see too many faults with all those matches that don't make them enjoyable outside of the first watch (and even then I didn't enjoy the WM25 match). HBK and Taker cosplaying an ROH Edwards/Richards match did nothing for me. The forced epic? No thank you! What was so bad with the Iron man match? I loved it as a kid and still fondly enjoy the match when I rewatched it 2 years ago. Or is it the fact that it went 60 minutes, went to a draw and then continued for another 2 mins because no one scored a decision? Miles better than the Rock/HHH match from Judgment Day as there was too many decisions for my liking when they started getting decisions over basic moves. A prime example of a Iron man match where multiple decisions happened that was enjoyable was Rude/Steamboat but thats a WCW match.

  17. This is a interesting subject. From experience non internet fans who I speak to regulary said they would prefer it if the Network ended up being a sky channel.

Because the Big Happy WrestleMania Ending actually works, and cash-ins aren't anything different at this point. They've had 14 MITB matches in the last ten years, and 11 successful cash-ins coming after a title match and four after a title change. A cash-in would be a heel version of the finish of WM IX that everyone has ridiculed since the moment it happened, except that it wouldn't be a Hogan ego-boost, it'd be a Vince ego-boost. Or a HHH ego-boost, or whoever comes up with it. Would it really have been that bad of a deal had they just let Batista beat Orton in a single match at mania? I know the fans were pissed about the Rumble but thats not really how booking works, WWE decides who goes over not the fans. I know Bryan was popular but they still could have done HHH/Bryan at Mania but Bryan gets a shot at the next PPV. In regards to Wrestlemania 9 I dont see why fans ridiculed it as I loved that ending for that show and they had the fans go home happy. I didnt see anyone in the audience complaining about Hogan walking out with the title, it was a nice suprise for them and they errupted huge. I wouldnt call it a MITB position as Fuji & Yoko challenged Hulk right there and then. Probably one of my fav mania moments. Only thing that bugged me about 93 was 1 Hogan Raw appearance.
  19. A lot of people that had already bought tickets for the PPV. It had some of their best early ticket sales in some time when they announced the main event locally, then of course the whole company got turned upside down. For me it was 8 years in the making Hogan/Sid Part 2.
  20. I cant blame Bill. WWE pretty much screwed up his career in WWE and was booked the wrong way, nevermind how Triple H had to be the guy who was the first to beat him. It was known Hunter had a groin injury and couldnt perform in the chamber and Bill basically wiped out the other wrestlers in that match and the way the ending to that chamber was clear bullshit. Maybe it would have been better putting him on Smackdown instead, I just know from memory it was always Bill/HHH everytime on PPV while he was the champion.
  21. Id be most interested in a AWA timeline as well as something like a stampede timeline. I would like to see the other ones finished first though. Who could they possibly get to cover the 1970s as Billy covered 77-78.
  22. I picked the Don't subscribe and don't want it answer because to be fair I have all the PPVs and all the tv sets that are out there so there isnt anything virtually of interest to me. I know id be wasting my money just to subscribe to a channel of stuff I already have in my collection barring the quality of stuff whats out there is still decent not mind you as good as HD quality. They need to put in more original content that would interest me and stuff I havent seen to get me to subscribe.
  23. Not that I'm trying to blame anyone, but Trips and Steph dating behind her back - with Vince keeping it a secret too - didn't exactly help her mental state. I understand that shit happens, and Steph and H shouldn't be crucified for feeling whatever they felt (nor should Vince for protecting his daughter), but they could've been more upfront with Chyna from the beginning. But hindsight and all of that. As for "dragging her out from under an overpass," Tony Atlas - who was living under a bridge - was allowed a second chance. Anyway, she seemed pretty clearheaded and coherent in a YouTube video I saw of her six months or so ago. Don't know if anything has changed since then. But if she's in a better state of mind, she deserves to be credited for what she contributed. Sunny was a fucking trainwreck for years, cleaned herself up enough to get inducted, and then got into more messes. Pretty much this. If Flair gets a free pass, why not Demolition? They ended up being different enough, and a good act in their own right. No, obviously they weren't on Flair's level, but they still carved out a pretty respectable run for themselves. I always thought Hunter did this to secure himself a position in the company for life. For Demolition well they did appear in a wwe game a few years back.
  24. I would have thouight that too till WWE had Demolition in one of the WWE wrestling games a couple years back.
  25. Too much love for Austin isnt always a good thing. I know he saved the WWF from crumbling down in the 1990s alough to be fair that was a team effort with other guys. He always seemed limited in his work in the WWF even before the neck injury something you didnt see in WCW. Bret/HBK should be up there as a top match.
