  1. Wait, is Sheamus heel again? Are they trying to break Big SHow's record of most career turns
  2. MoS

    WWE Royal Rumble 2021

    Bro.....
  3. It absolutely would not be a good idea
  4. Yeah it really is, especially cuz her genuinely great, clever sense of humour is evident throughout the podcast. It's so cruel that someone like her has had to go through what she did. Also, Brodie's last words were something like "Buy the kid a fucking denim jacket"
  5. I didn't know that the Vince-Kurt horseplay happened on the trip to the UK. The way Taker told the story on Austin's podcast, if I recall correctly, was that when it happened, he was out with several painkillers cuz Austin had busted his ear hardway with a steel chair shot. So he was out of it and when he woke up, the first thing he saw was Angle wrestling Vince, and he immediately put him in a choke. Then when Vince and Angle told him they're playing, he released the hold and went straight back to sleep. I had always assumed that this was after the PPV and during the plain ride from hell - Austin even used that term during the podcast. But then I checked the PPV results and Austin worked Big Show and Taker worked Hunter, so they wouldn't have been hitting each others with steel chairs at the PPV
  6. I am cool with being the Bobby Heenan to WE's Nick Bockwinkel (Please no comparison to Callis and Omega, both of them are fucking dorks)
  7. When Carmella became the first Sasha feud, I was told that it's a good stopgap one and done feud for her before she moves to bigger things. Well we are at the Rumble now and for some reason she is still having to carry Carmella despite winning clean the first time? Why? How about pushing someone else
  8. To be very honest, I misread that part, and read 'reruns' as 'run.' That's on me, I apologise. I still think he's full of shit a bit, but @NintendoLogic is correct about SoCal being a dead territory in the late 70s - NOT the early 70s, where there were numerous full houses - so maybe I am the one full of shit, and he was telling the truth. I accept zero responsibility and again blame Larry Z and Greg Gagne for conditioning me to be skeptical about what wrestlers say. Hey, if all the wrestlers in interviews can refuse to take their rightful blame and deflect to someone else, why can't I lol
  9. Lawyer here. It depends on the financial status of the parties, but in general, for sexual harassment cases and for defamation suits relating to that, it costs a lot, and more than the money, it's the sheer time and emotional energy that are real deal-breakers. Bar fights usually have cameras and multiple witnesses, so one way or another, they can get adjudicated quickly. Sexual harassment is a lot of he said-she said, and, like in the present case, the male accused is financially more secure than the female accuser. So it goes on and on, costs a bomb, and every day the accuser has to hear multiple versions of how she is making it up, how she is a gold-digger, how she just wants the attention, etc. It becomes extremely traumatic and just not worth literally losing your mind over. Hence why a lot of victims withdraw their complaints, or in some cases, settle. Even when the accused is convicted, they STILL hear the same skeptics and non-believers shit on them anyway. It's just too overwhelming and no one can be blamed for having to go through that.
  10. Excellent main event. This was the best Dynamite episode in ages
  11. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  12. The lawn dart Mysterio spot!
  13. This match has been outstanding so far
  14. Trying to figure out who is the worse promo - Jade or Sting
  15. Absolutely So is PAC a face now
  16. That Mox promo was aces
  17. MJF & Jericho team again!
  18. lol fair enough. I admit that one of the biggest reasons I like reading about/listening to/watching wrestlers' shoots/podcasts is cuz I find it a bit fun to poke through all the holes in their stories. That has nothing to do with the amazing job TTK is doing in this epic thread to transcribe everything said by people on these podcasts. If I have to blame anyone, I would blame Larry Z and Greg Gagne, since they were the first shoot interviews I ever listened to, and of course they claimed personal credit for every single good and significant thing to have occurred in pro wrestling in the last 50 years
  19. Does anyone else think Arquette is full of shit regarding his memories of the SoCal wrestling scene? Like, I mean, I cannot tell you off the top of my head the SoCal headliners during the 60s and 70s without looking and discussing it over with my friends; however, I didn't grow up there, unlike Arquette. But for him, while recounting his memories, he just happens to remember Georgeous George, who, while obviously having a base in SoCal, had a nationwide presence in the 50s, and then the next thing he remembers is Hulk Hogan and the invading 1980s wrestling presence? I mean I am an Arquette fan and his ex-wife being a Friends star made me explore his entire career in-depth because Friends was really the first Western pop-culture product apart from WWF to really hit it big in India, and I cannot explain in words just how big and important it was. Therefore, please trust me, I have no resentment towards Arquette. But I dunno, this narrative makes me feel he is trying to revise history to make himself more palatable to wrestling fans, for whatever reason
  20. Genuinely think I am the only Indian brother here, and since I am in NYC now, you all will have to wait until I get reports from my friends back home, sorry
  21. Plus, one undisputedly great thing about the rise of AEW has been that wrestlers have more options and that has increased their leverage. We have heard countless stories of wrestlers whom WWE was not paying attention to, suddenly receiving big money offers from Titan cuz AEW expressed interest. And of course AEW would express interest in Shayna.
  22. It would be really stupid of her to stiff Shayna, given Shayna can send her straight to another 6 months off
  23. This is a fucking epic recap, Dave. More effusive praises and specific reactions to follow soon, but just know that this is fucking amazing. TTK is the internet wrestling poster of the year already, and we are not even done with January
  24. It's also hilarious that he is complaining about modern wrestling being too soft when 1) the wrestling style is so much more physical than it was in Taker's heyday; and 2) this is the same dude who whined about Vader's stiff shots and threatened to go to Vince and get Vader fired for being too stiff
  25. To tie the cricket neatly back to wrestling, here's Hunter talking about a sport he almost certainly doesn't understand -
