  1. Kaitlyn isn’t having any of AJ’s taunting and things get aggressive early as she dumps her over the announce table. After a hot start, things slow down with some headlocks and AJ slaps on her Black Widow submission but Kaitlyn fights out. Big E is at ringside. AJ applies a crucifix but Kaitlyn powers out, picking AJ up and slamming her. Kaitlyn rips off AJ’s belt but when the ref is distracted AJ is able to grab it and knocks Kaitlyn out with it. Kaitlyn kicks out and AJ starts to snap. AJ goes for a cross-body but is caught by Kaitlyn but then AJ slips on the Black Widow. Kaitlyn powers out of that and spears AJ. Kaitlyn decides to NOT pin AJ so she blows her a kiss (is this a Wyatt family clue?) while she holds her in her arms and then slams her head, but AJ kicks out. Weird spot for a face there. Kaitlyn misses a charge in the corner and AJ again locks on the Black Widow. Kaitlyn has nowhere to go and eventually wilts and taps out. This was one of the better lead-ups to a Divas match. Afterwards the crowd booed Kaitlyn as she cried on the ramp.
  2. Cena casually ignores the built up Achilles injury story but takes a decent beating before spearing Ryback through the barricade, which is nearly as common as a ref bump nowadays. Cena climbs into the crowd for a three foot elbow drop onto a table before both guys brawl to the entrance area where Ryback spears Cena through a screen of lights affixed to the Titantron. Both guys are KO’d of course as a draw was the only booking that worked here since Cena had just won the title and Ryback would look like a complete puss in losing. To give the WWE credit, when they get a camera behind the stage it looks like a colossal wipeout with Cena landing on some scaffolding. Cena does the stretcher job after to set up another match at Payback, which absolutely makes sense.
  3. Although it's hard to establish when you're just wrestling once a year, wasn't it a one-hit KO on Punk in their Mania match?
  4. Also at the start of the show Bill Watts comes out with Tony and Bischoff and plays up the Tag Team Championship match going on last.
  5. I've noted the old WCW PPVs have markers now (PS3). So that was improved since launch.
  6. One thing to note is that they have searchable tags as Steve Austin and Stone Cold Steve Austin. They both don't yield the same thing.
  7. In the fourth episode of The Kevin Kelly Show, the Voice of Ring of Honor speaks with Mike Bennett about Ring of Honor, BJ Whitmer, his recent WWE tryout and much more. Kevin also shares his thoughts on CM Punk and Raw's "hijacking", the WWE Network, Daniel Bryan and much more. As always, Kevin takes your #AsKKevin Twitter questions as well. http://placetobenation.com/the-kevin-kelly-show-episode-4-featuring-mike-bennett/
  8. On the Rob Van Dam episode of the Jericho show, he talks through Mookie's W/L sheet (5 minute mark)

  11. Parv's entire commentary on Tony Atlas' physique is complimented pefectly by Johnny going "mmmm" underneath.
  12. There was never a DVD release of One Night Only, unless perhaps Silvervision did one off the live feed for their UK distribution (they put tons of cool stuff on DVD). But yes, instead of airing the full show - which we know they have since the Bret/Taker match was on Taker's Tombstone DVD, we got the abriged VHS version. Disappointing.
  13. PSN Store -> Apps -> scroll all the way right to "view all apps", it used to be in the upper left corner. I think you can also just search for "WWE" and you'll see it mixed within the games. It will sit right where Amazon and Netflix are on your PSN home.
  14. Their's also a MLG 4/21/85, Some more WCCW shows, and another roundtable. Good call - between last night and this morning they added two MLG shows.
  15. They must have this labelled wrong - this is probably the 12/29 show with Hogan/Flair and Bret/DiBiase
  16. There's a new Old School show up also - 12/22/91 MSG show.
  17. Raw goes all the way back to the beginning of 2012 (the Jan 1,2012 show to be exact) - you can select the year in the drop down box.
  18. I'm really glad you guys talked about the announcing as they were a + on the show for me. I had reservations because I had heard how horrible Alex Riley was doing NXT commentary but looks like he got the boot. Regal was fantastic putting over the psychology in the big matches. He's probably 450x better than JBL (who may be the worst GM character they've ever had considering he acts aloof to the NXT product on RAW).

  20. it's under Place to Be Podcast in iTunes - not the PTBN Wrestling Network.
  21. So maybe a best practice is not giving up if it takes longer than 5-10 seconds for a VOD of an old show to pop up? I wonder when most people quit.
  22. You're correct - the initial exercise was WWF/WWE only because of the challenges it presented with not duplicating wrestlers. Here's a link to January: http://placetobenation.com/the-all-time-january-ppv-card/
  23. Lot of good feedback around the concept. Here's February: http://placetobenation.com/the-all-time-february-ppv-card/

RVD also returned for Money in the Bank - which may account for a handful of those buys.
  25. There's a good question posed during the show that you can probably shed some light on Loss. What kind of "style" would you say Edge was wrestling in this 2001 run? Cruiser? Tag?
