  1. I am 100% convinced that ANY member of this board who is married, their wife would of heard of Hulk Hogan.
  2. I always thought Dana White was a couple of notches up the sleazy promoter totem pole than Vince and Don King. I was wrong I guess.

Remember when it was reported that HHH wouldn't be bringing anyone up from developmental unless a long term plan was in place for them. Poor Consequences Creed
  4. I bet the announcers are so happy when Vince has more on-screen time! I bet Michael Cole dreams it was 1998/99 once again.
  5. Enjoyable as usual. Austin is just great as the host.
  6. I think Cole makes the best of a bad situation to be fair. I think JR put him over heavily on a recent Austin podcast, saying he is dealing with Vince in his ear all the time and anyone would of cracked a long time ago.
  7. That was the first ECW match I saw, and I loved it at the time. And as a naive teenager, I thought it was Douglas who was the "worker" in the match. Little did I know! No idea how it would hold up now though.
  8. I really like a lot of the NXT roster, but Tim is right, I don't think many of them are ready yet. From the top of my head, the ones I think are ready are: Adrian Neville, Oliver Grey, Sami Zayn, Sylvester Lefort & Paige. I have no idea what to do with them however! I am going to assume many of the smaller guys may be used for a new TV show for the network, as I have heard rumblings of this recently.
  9. Started my adventures into the DVDVR Top 50 AWA matches last night. Bock & Saito vs. High Flyers. Slow starting match, but I really enjoyed the FIP spots with Brunzell. I can see my eyes being opened to some people I previously dismissed slightly on this set. But my god, Gagne is the shits.

Rey Jr. when he was champ.
  11. I love the John Farnham song - Thunder In Your Heart, from that film!
  12. Even Encino Man (US Title) / California Man (UK Title) (Brendan Fraser) likes Dino Bravo!
  13. There was a very popular online series that was called 'Epic Rap Battles In History'. It features spoofs of the following: Darth Vader, Adolf Hitler, Sarah Palin, Lady Gaga, Napoleon, Napoleon Dynamite, Mr T, Justin Bieber, Beethoven, John Lennon, Bill Riley, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Kim Jong-Il, Genghis Khan, The Easter Bunny, Gandalf, Dumbledore, Dr Suess, Shakespeare, Captain Kirk, Christopher Columbus, Ben Franklin, Einstein, Stephen Hawkin, Abe Lincon, Chuck Norris, Mario Bros, Wright Bros. Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Cleopatra, Marilyn Monroe, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, Doc Brown, Doctor Who, Bruce Lee, Clint Eastwood, Batman, Sherlock Holmes, Moses, Santa Claus, Moses, Adam, Eve, Martin Luther King Jr, Gandhi, Mozart, Skillrex, Stalin, Rasputin, Al Capone, Miley Cyrus, Joan Of Arc. I just thought it was a humorous that Hogan and Savage must be considered recognisable, and famous enough to be spoofed and lumped in with this lot of Film Icons, Historical Figures and other famous people.
  14. He just wanted a method to block gifs from sigs, not all sigs.
  15. The medium itself is bigger than Pro Wrestling, agreed. But 33 million people watched Hogan on NBC. I don't think 33 million people saw a Molly Ringwald film in theatres.
  16. Neither would Ringwald.
  17. Forgot about that, and yes, I went back to revisit other matches and you're right they are quite tiresome on the whole.
  18. If you are using the Chrome or Firefox browsers install "Adblock Plus" which is a really nifty browser extension in general, as it blocks ads from most websites as well as no more adverts before videos on Youtube or DailyMotion etc. Also, you can then block individual images if you wish. Simply right click on an image once Adblock Plus is installed and select "Block Element" and voilà, the image has gone. I did this to block the fantastic, yet distracting gif of Cesaro giant swinging Khali. I prefer this to the carte blanche approach of blocking all signature images via the board settings. Hope that helps.
  19. When discussing The Wrestling Channel (TWC) and it's availability in the UK, I'd like to correct Keith, you didn't need a SKY subscription to get access. It was available on FREESAT as well, as long as you had a dish and decoder, no further subscription was needed. About 30 minutes through this so far. I agree with what was said about Stephanie McMahon though. She is intelligant, but not that self aware; hence the slip of tongues she has from time to time that must have McDevitt placing his head in his hands. I'll hopefully finish this round table in the next day or so, and add any further points then.
  20. Living in England, we could get WCW via DSF on analogue Sky on the ASTRA channels. I could never get the DSF WCW PPV schedule correct and I always missed them. As hard as I tried, I could never find a reliable source for listings, no matter where I looked and when I did find a TV guide-mag which had listings, they were never correct, as stupid as that sounds now.
  21. Really enjoyed this episode, I'd love to read those Torch interviews with Eddie Gilbert at some point that were mentioned. I liked the MARATHON Gordon Solie catchup too. Thumbs up guys! Keep up the good work! One point, Parv, you really need to work on your pronunciation of El Gigante and Ole
  22. There'd have to be a decent argument put forward by someone as to why Akiyama deserves to go in to the HoF for me to consider changing my viewpoint. I am already looking forward to 2014's HoF!
  23. This is one of my favourite analysis' you've done. Thanks Mookie!
  24. Like you said to me Butch, take a few months off and get back on it at the Rumble. Don't leave forever though, as you're one of the good guys!
