This has been fun, but does anyone else wish a Street Fight would actually, ya know, take place on the streets?

Vince: Remember Kamala, pal? Kim Chee is going to come back and put the mask on you. It will possess you, goddamnit, and you'll become the NEW Kamala. That'll be some good shit!!!

I also forgot about his involvement, but his entrance pumped me up like Reebok Pumps!

Also Yul. Ironically, I'm not even familiar with most of these people... My friend has been trying to get me to watch Survivor for ten years now, but she finally got with me with David vs. Goliath because John Hennigan was on it. Wish I had started much sooner! Still, I lucked out with what was apparently an all-time great season for my first one. It was certainly better than the seasons since then have been.

I watched Survivor instead of wrestling - neither card looked compelling to me on paper - so it worked on at least one viewer.

Under-the-radar wrestling book recommendations
C.S. replied to Cross Face Chicken Wing's topic in Pro Wrestling
I finally read this. A fun read. Some highlights (SPOILERS): - Kofi and Hawkins were Swoggle's best friends in WWE. - Bob Holly and JBL are *gasp* not bullies - according to Swoggle anyway. - CM Punk is a cranky unprofessional bitch. Swoggle got a new phone and lost all of his numbers, so he asked Punk for his number and the number of a musician (?) who was a mutual friend. This set Punk off, who called Swoggle a "user" and even taunted him about being on a future cut list. What a dick! Swoggle later apologized (even though he wasn't in the wrong) and Punk accepted that. However, Punk was eventually standoffish again. Punk has always struck me as someone who has no concept of friendship and doesn't value loyalty. Sad! - Heath Slater once complained about having to get beat up by a midget. Dash Wilder was boo-boo-facing about being eliminated from a battle royal at one of the SaudiMania shows by Swoggle (maybe the Greatest Royal Rumble). Stuff like this confirms my suspicions that The Revival are really their own worst enemy at times. - Khali was lazy and wanted to make as much money doing as little as possible. - WeeLC got a standing ovation from everyone in the back, including Vince. IMO, it's the greatest PPV pre-show match of all time and one of the top ten matches of the decade. Yes, really. - Swoggle's Wellness Violation was because he couldn't piss in a cup in time, not because of any drug failure. Yet, WWE refused to specify that Swoggle did not actually test dirty for drugs. This and other frustrations really paint WWE as a really shitty place to work IMO. Still, Swoggle is grateful overall for his career and getting to live his dream. It's a really compelling read in general, because he goes into what it's like to be a midget (his word, which he says he doesn't mind). -
His last name isn’t even Hart though. I like way it’s done in Mexico, where a famous family name has to be earned - such as Colibri eventually becoming Rey Misterio Jr. Teddy “Hart” hasn’t earned shit.
-
Bret should have banned him from using the Hart name two decades ago. He never made it anywhere and has a rap sheet a mile long.

Because she's a heel.

Barely anyone remembers Hector Garza's run in WCW and no one remembers he was also in WWE. Vince Russo championed him. Guess what: he was right!
-
Remember when Cedric Alexander had a push? That was a fun few minutes.
-
You might want to watch the dire Miz-Morrison segment from Smackdown before you wish for that. The movie parody trailers for WM21 were indeed awesome. That level of creativity and talent apparently no longer exists.

Goldberg vs. Roman would be a great match, and it's probably the one they'd go with if Goldberg somehow wins. But Goldberg vs. Bryan would be really intriguing... How has Naomi been mistreated? She won the Moolah Women's Battle Royal a couple of years ago, has been a champion, etc. You knew she wasn't winning this match because the Saudi CLOWN Prince is undoubtedly a racist.
-
Fiend vs. Goldberg at SaudiMania Blood Money. Zzz! I guess Goldberg doesn't care about losing as long as he can cash those big fat checks. Hot take: I want Goldberg to win and face Daniel Bryan at WM.

NXT has kept my interest more tonight, but this ten lashes angle got me to tune in. Old school still works.
-
Turned to AEW for a minute, saw Joey Janela, decided I would rather watch commercials before NXT comes back on.

This Devlin-Breeze match is pretty good, even if I miss the time Breeze had a fun character and wasn't just a "serious rassler." I'd welcome a more serious transition, though, if I thought he was ever going to be pushed - but he isn't. With that said, it's nice to be reminded just how damn good Breeze can be.

You've just exposed yourself as someone who didn't bother to read my post. You just wanted an excuse to rant like your hero. You're better than this and one of the best posters here, so act like it. #FUCK I already admitted diagnosing him over the internet wasn't a good idea. With that being said, my reasons weren't because of his "controversial wrestling opinions" on Twitter (I don't follow him) or on his podcast (I don't listen to it or care about it). Go back and actually read what I wrote.

I don’t think Jim developed bipolar disorder at 64 years old, if that’s what you mean. But I do strongly suspect some sort of cognitive condition, like dementia maybe. But you are right that making a diagnosis over the internet is a futile task. Either way, I take absolutely no pleasure in this - I feel sad for Jim.

Not sure how the hell my comment got turned into something about Trump. Cornette's off-the-wall rants about wrestling are not any more or less problematic than they ever were, and not what I was ever talking about. Cornette legitimately burning bridges with close long-time friends like Dave is extremely distressing and a very bad sign. That is what I meant. Implying that I would be flippant about mental illness (your "Mauro's #1 fan" crack) is cheap and unfair. I definitely could've and should've been clearer in my original post, so that's on me, but I wasn't referencing stupid shit he said on a podcast I don't even listen to - I meant the Dave stuff.
-
What I meant was that Rey wouldn't be losing consistently for a few weeks, then winning, then being Brock's bitch and Cain's second banana, then a U.S. title, then back to losing, etc. etc. etc. Even if Rey didn't appear every week for AEW, his character would still be presented consistently when he did appear.
-
Rey is basically a step above Matt Hardy in WWE right now. He is used in whatever spot, without any rhyme or reason. Remember when he was losing to everyone, and then he wasn't? In AEW, he would be used consistently and treated like a major player. That doesn't necessarily mean the World Title (although I'm sure he'd eventually have a run), but he would be presented as an important part of the show and utilized to his fullest capabilities.
-
Rey really should've signed with AEW. I know that's a popular refrain about everyone and their brother, but it's not usually something I say because it's not true most of the time. In this case, it is.
