  1. Anyone else tired of PG-rated garbage wrestling matches like this one?
  2. Agreed. Humberto is not over and not a star, no matter how much they try. As much as we talk about them needing to build new stars (Humberto) vs. going with old hands (Rey), it would've been fine because Andrade himself still needs to be built up IMO, and Rey could've assisted with that.
  3. Sheamus vs. Shorty G did nothing for me. The outcome was never in doubt. The match never needed to happen. I have no problems with a Sheamus comeback win, but they could also be doing something meaningful with Chad Gable instead of this, getting the benefit of both Sheamus and Gable instead of a scenario that honestly benefits neither.
  4. Poor Shorty G. What a fucking waste...
  5. You’re not the only one. I definitely get weird white supremacy vibes from this misguided concept of a stable. WALTER is great though.
  6. I thought I heard he doesn't want to leave the UK? I might be confusing him with someone else though.
  7. WALTER is a fucking star. That match was a great showcase for him. Adam Cole, as little as he does for me personally, at least has a superstar moveset, nickname, and crowd connection.
  8. It's now 8:43. This show is slotted to go until 9:30. That means we can expect the main event to be an overlong, bloated, masturbatory wankfest. Oh yay!
  9. DIY vs. Moustache Mountain was really fun but suffered from being an overlong "epic." A shorter, tighter runtime would've made it a better match. But that's a lost cause in modern day WWE/NXT.
  10. DIY vs. Moustache Mountain is the match I'm looking forward to the most.
  11. Agreed. It's rasslin' and movez, flipz and flopz, and zero charisma, character, or personality from anyone in this match. I guess I can no longer enjoy wrestling in a vacuum. I need a reason to care about the people in the ring, and this show has given me no reason to care about any of these guys or get invested in anything that's happening. I don't care who wins, even though I am low-key rooting for Isiah "Swerve" Scott without really knowing why. Update: Devlin won. I dunno... When PWO was doing those Secret Santo match assignments, I loved the fuck out of random Kawada and Hansen matches, but I can't get into modern stuff the same way.
  12. The problem with that match is the outcome was never in doubt. Made it hard to get really invested. Also, this show is really missing Mauro. Hope his absence tonight means he's being saved for the Rumble tomorrow night. Mamma Mia!
  13. Finn Balor vs. Draco Malfoy isn't bad so far, even though I'm not a huge Finn fan and I'm not familiar with Draco's work at all outside of Hogwarts. But he's obviously a real athlete, transitioning from Quidditch to wrestling with ease.
  14. Watching this show, even though I barely know the lineup and think both of the featured stables are awful. BTW, Bubba, there's no "When" in the name. Wishful thinking, perhaps? I've never seen the WCW/AAA event of that name, but I've always wanted to.
  15. Hoping Mauro commentates the Royal Rumble... He's the best they have and would enhance the event so much!
  16. That tease seemed to be for a WarGames-style match between The Elite and The Inner Circle. I guess Page would turn there?
  17. J.R. doesn't even bother to hide his apathy and minor loathing toward "The Bad Boy" (lol) Joey Janela, does he?
  18. Yeah, I'm with you there.
  19. Having a hard time focusing on either show tonight, but oof, that Britt Baker promo shows that she doesn't have it on the mic at all - even as a heel. @sek69 had a more positive impression, obviously. The words were fine, I guess, but there was no emotion or personality behind them.
  20. In case any of you are in this unfortunate situation, help IS available!
  21. Hopefully. BTW, the Pillman book is awesome!
  22. If WWE operated with any sort of logic, AOP would be pissed, seeing as THEY'RE the tag team, but Seth and Buddy took the one set of titles they'd ostensibly be in contention for.
  23. Hornswoggle's book Life Is Short and So Am I: My Life Inside, Outside, and Under the Wrestling Ring is on sale for $4.99 on Kindle. It looks like a fun read, so I'm gonna grab it. Thank you for your kind words. Your recommendation convinced me! I will definitely grab the Shoemaker book when it's $4.99 again.
  24. He's better off being paid by WWE to stay at home. Even the Luther role in the Nightmare Collective would be better than having anything to do with the Dead Order.
  25. I hope you don't mean me. I openly admitted to never watching the Darby match because I had a raging headache that night and the rest of the show was underwhelming to me (possibly because of said headache), so I cut my losses when the outcome - a PAC victory - was obvious, and I wanted to get dinner while something was still open. Agreed about Dark Order and Nightmare Collective though. I'll take PAC over them. Actually, maybe PAC can put on the cape you seem to think I want and lead the Dark Order as Count PACula. I actually really like Brandi outside of this rubbish. Baker is a tricky one. I think he she has upside, but maybe they need to lean into the dentist gimmick more. That's a slippery slope though, especially for a fed that with a track record of gimmicks like Dark Order and Nightmare Collective. I'm not really sure what the solution is. Obviously, it isn't to go Full Yankem with her, but they need to do something. I'd turn her heel and have her insist on being called DOCTOR Britt Baker by everyone. That's a good first step, at least, at injecting some personality into her pedestrian PAC-like act.
