I was half-considering ordering it, but I decided against it. Conrad hiding the roast and other stuff behind an overpriced bundle kind of soured me a bit. We can debate the morality of a 73-year-old man with a pacemaker and drinking problem who hasn't talked to his doctor in months being promoted by his starstruck son-in-law for a final match a full decade after his last one, but I'm of the mind that Flair is a grown man who can make his own decisions - good or bad.

Awesome show. I feel the highs of Mania were higher, but SummerSlam was far more consistent overall.

The SummerSlam set and Becky's costume are both straight fire. I wish AEW would spruce up its visuals a little - at least for PPVs, but even Rampage could stand to look less like the redressed Dynamite set it is.

According to the upper right corner of this page, I'm one of the top posters in this thread with 90 posts. How is that possible? Or is this some fuckery from switching to the new board? I didn't watch Cornette in his prime (my introduction to him was in the WWF), don't listen to his audio show, don't generally like what I've heard about him, and don't care about him in general otherwise. If the statistic is true, I can only assume the thread veered off-topic at points and I contributed at those times. Either that or I waste way too much fucking time on a forum where 90% of the users actively dislike my posts and opinions.

Agreed. But could be a case of Tony wanting to make the calls himself. (But then doesn't do it, I guess? And that leads to these problems.) Vince having Johnny Ace do it always struck me as the ultimate bitch move. Maybe that's common in corporations, which - okay, fine - but still a bitch move.
