How could turning Roman heel possibly make him more hated with the people booing him now than he already is? It's not like it's stopped them from going to shows, if anything it's encouraged them to go so they can boo him and "stick it" to Vince or whatever. It's not like there wasn't a sizeable portion of that crowd that DID like him, he got dueling chants and his fans were cheering him throughout the match. It's just the Cena dynamic all over again.I was there live and it was definitely the Cena dynamic. The same guys that were chanting "Roman sucks" when he was hitting the corners after he won were engaged in the match the whole time. There was a dude in the front row in a Boston Red Sox jersey losing his mind yelling at Roman when he & Braun were fighting on the outside, it looked like something you'd see on NWAOnDemand and not 2017 WWE. You're not going to get that kind of engagement from a "conventional" heel. The best use of Roman was last year right after Mania when he was just The Guy and not pandering to the crowd and there's no way turning him to do "hey this is where you boo me" style mic work would be any better than that OR actually get the kind of negative reactions he's getting now. Agreed. Just let him be what he is now. I would expect him to get better on the mic (or find someone who can write for him) and just keep getting that kind of engagement. I popped for the guy with the Red Sox jersey because it was a Mark Bellhorn jersey, which was awesome. We were on that side, just above where the hard camera cuts off.

I had a good time but I'm sure that's where not watching the TV and not being engaged in the storylines helps. The only thing I really didn't care for was the tag match but I think both of those teams are unwatchable, so that was to be expected. The end of the women's match definitely did fall apart unfortunately, especially where there was supposed to be (I think) a sliding dropkick? It seemed like the bottom rope was loose? I came in wanting to see a Goldberg squash in the main, so I left happy with that.

SEVERAL years ago when he was an intern on O&A, like 10 years ago.

I was under the impression they are doing Wyatt/Orton at Mania. Wasn't that the point of Orton winning the Rumble? I don't watch the TV but I figured that has to be the destination, doesn't it?

What Happened When with Tony Schiavone

I'll let a few more episodes pile up before I start on this show but I'm interested in it. -
No Seth Rollins makes me infinitely more excited.

Any Ronda to WWE discussion happening yet? -
Yeah, that's what I think they are missing in the whole plan. I really don't care if I see a show live. I'm not going to have the results of EVOLVE 97 spoiled on the SportsCenter bottom line, so why would I care whether it's live or not? I think the kind of subscribers they are most likely to attract generally feel the same. It's about the on demand content. That's where the potential value is, especially considering the price tag. I can understand being live being a draw to WWE where there are millions of fans with "second screen" experience being a thing but that's not what this service should be about trying to cultivate.

Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard
Zoo Enthusiast replied to Lust Hogan's topic in Publications and Podcasts
I've finally started listening to this one. Really like it and appreciate that the talk of the current product from the early shows has been edited out. Bruce is a bullshitter but he has worked in the business for 30 years. That's part of the appeal. -
Bryan is way more subdued when on with Dave unless they're reviewing an especially bad Raw or something like that. Say what you will about him, but at least he knows to keep his gimmick in check there since he has to know Dave is the reason 99% of people sub to them. Yeah, unfortunately not subdued enough for me. I can listen to/read people saying how much Raw sucked each week for free at a million places online.

How many of the folks that re-upped with the Black Friday sale are sticking around for a full price month? I canceled mine about a week ago because I just wasn't using it aside from browsing the board a little. Alvarez is still just too much of a stumbling block for me listening to any of the Dave shows.

Obviously this is the year for Punk vs Austin.

Feels like this could be quoted verbatim from about each of the past five Mania threads.

Yeah, they also have a couple shows still listed in the "results" section but it looks like that was abandoned.

Even if FloSlam's rumored relationship with ROH pans out, it seems difficult for them to get enough subscribers to make this thing work. It'd be one thing if they were just a clearinghouse for content that other people were already producing, but they're paying multiple people to curate and produce content, as well as footing some of the cost of recording and livestreaming these events in the first place (evidently not House of Hardcore, judging by Dreamer's comments). It sounds like it's just another market for FloSports and they can kill it if it doesn't succeed to their expectations. The story with WWE here is strange. The probability that a random indie wrestling fan already has a WWE Network subscription is extremely high, so even if they went for a $5 premium package for indie content they would be able to out-price anyone else. It sounds like they've been interested in this prospect for a while, mentioning it in a few surveys, yet from everything Meltzer has said the WWE was caught off-guard by WWN signing with FloSlam. You'd think that Gabe would've mentioned it to WWE, especially given that the contract locks him in for 5 years. The "rumored" ROH relationship is also just made up by fans who don't know anything about this, isn't it?

His interviews were always his strong suit when I subscribed. I just didn't care for his takes. I don't need to pay someone to tell me that Roman Reigns sucks when I can go literally almost anywhere online and get the same opinion and not agree with it.

CM Punk Seth Rollins Dean Ambrose New Jack Raven (especially promos) Marty Scurll

Yeah, that is the main issue. It's not like Raw and SD are just Big Show, Khali, and Kane matches for five hours. It essentally comes down to 205 Live being a watered down version of NXT.

Yeah, it's the same shit every time.
