I liked a fair amount of this..perhaps thats just nostalgia on my part, but I cant get enough of seeing these two work even when broken down. Funks moonsault looked to almost kill him and Brets leg breaker chair spot looked ungodly brutal. I enjoyed everything up to the Arn & David Flair bit...from then on, it was crap. **

Enjoyable TV match. Kept Rikishi strong, while making HHH look like the bastard heel. *** Match loses all *** for the Too Cool & Rikishi dancing bit....always hated that and was a huge part of me stopping watching.

The verbal duel was my favourite part of this. Match was fun for what it was and worked at a blinding pace. *

This was fun in as much as a collection of spots and an extended kick out section only can be. Both guys seemed to be reckless, but as this is my first time of seeing either, this may just be the way they work. Nothing spectacular, but fun enough **3/4

This makes me sad. Very much a favourite of mine, but I cant appreciate the time and effort it takes to put these shows out. I thank you all very much for one of the great podcasts.

I admire their dedication to making absolutely everything look as painful as is possible. What these ladies lacked in slickness they more than made up for in effort. Was very entertained by the whole affair, irrespective of its flaws. ***1/4

These guys manage to make a really dramatic match while not really doing that much. A real skill unto itself. ****

This is glorious in every single way. It has the biggest of big match feels. Such intensity, such hatred and a lovely finish. Utterly brilliant. ****1/2

What a great tough guy battle this was. Benoit with perhaps the stiffest chop in history, which could be heard in the cheap seats. Both guys went for it and made for a thoroughly enjoyable match ***1/2

Cant say I loved this match - the concept of it was greater than the reality. I love guys going at it giving no shits at all, but for a relatively short match, the pace was a bit plodding. When it was good, it was really good and they did beat the snot out of each other. Tenryu's attempted Frankensteiner from the top rope was somewhat unexpected! Sasaki had a ***** mullet. Tenryu was ****** grumpy. The match was ***1/2

I really liked how the match built, with the long first fall and much shorter last two. As always, super stiff match with a lot of things to like about it for me. ***3/4

Formula WWF TV match from the time...not much to say really. Match was OK for what it was, but for a title change it was didnt have a big match feel, which is how I recall that era's TV anyway. *3/4

This is just a legalised mugging. Utterly brutal and so very very enjoyable! Cant argue with the ***1/2 rating. So much fun.

Loved this so much. Not a big death match fan, but this had enough twists and turns and a great amount of drama. Honma was so much fun to watch and so athletic. Lovely match ****

A real nothing match here. Always nice seeing Kikuchi and Ogawa going at it but beyond that the most fillery fillers of a match. Not awful...heck, not even bad, just.....there. **

This is a match about being tough. Everything is tough. The first 75% moves at a fairly glacial pace, but thats not necessarily a bad thing. Clearly this match is building to bigger things ahead, and it certainly piques the interest of whats to come. The biggest problem I had was Kanemaru - not his work, or anything like that, but rather his wearing of a wife beater in the ring. Thats a big no no. All in all, a pretty enjoyable match. ***1/4

Really enjoyed this and added Satantico is a bonus. Will always love to see blood in a match, particularly one as heated as this, always adds a little extra something. Loved the finish to each fall, the match built so well. Very good ***1/2

I liked this a lot, in as much as it was all go all the time and never got dull. However, it is in the grand scheme, nothing special. A solid **1/2 match

Cornette is just the best manager ever IMO. Could watch him work forever. These teams have such great chemistry. Not as great as the Clash match but still so much fun.

I think Johnny's belching etc adds a certain ambiance to the whole affair.
