I'd love to see it, but the outcome isn't as much in question at this point. I don't really see the Briscoes getting the belts back so soon, and FTR is gearing up for a shot at the AEW belts. It's not that I think the Briscoes have to get their win back, but the first match had the benefit of it being truly unpredictable as to who was going to win.

Or you could just not like it while other people do. It's okay! :p Bryan Danielson has done plenty of technical main events. He said he wants to bleed and be in a stable. He probably also wants to be in a War Games. So do I.

That was fantastic and worth the price of the PPV alone. Eddie Kingston, man. That visual of him walking to the ring with the gas can was terrifying.

It doesn't really make sense to run that match. Hardly any build, Darby damn near murked himself on that dive and the wrong guy won. This PPV has sucked since the trios match.

Actually, that was just black mist leavins. Derp. Still cool.

Julia looks great. The teeth are a nice touch.

Penta Oscurocito is so stinkin' cute.
-
They need to wrap this up.

They can heat Penta back up at any time. Also, Penta hasn't had a banger of a singles match in AEW in a while and the vibe I get online is that people are sick of the taunt spamming. Watching live, though, it's obvious he's still over. I think putting him in the ring with one of the smartest workers going right now is a good move.

Even if that's all Tony can get, I'd be beyond stoked. I still have a small collection of the old DVD's, but it'd be so awesome to have the whole library. I wanna watch the CZW feud again SO bad.

Yeah, same here. I agree that they're both versatile, but I've never seen Hangman work heel. I'm sure it's happened, probably in RoH, but I know Barry was great at both. Also, Barry was graceful in a way that most wrestlers aren't while also being pretty damn big. Barry was a total natural and when I watch him when he's at his best, he adds gravitas. EVERYTHING becomes more important when he's in the ring. Page has been killing it in AEW, especially since he got the belt. He isn't a spot monkey himself, but I would've liked to see him wrangle Cole in at Revolution.

Sting doing balcony dives through tables at 60 and Adam Cole's out here lookin' like a Warhammer mini.

STERN LECTURES FROM LORD STEVEN. That'll get these ruffians sorted.

Not to sound reductive, but Bryan is being Bryan. He's doing exactly what I expected him to do and it's great. Punk, however, is doing something I didn't expect. The way he's working is such a breath of fresh air. He's getting bodyslams over, working the Harley Race seesaw spot, and that 20 count punch in the corner spot had the crowd going apeshit. All that in a promotion that is chock full of workrate/modern/PWG style wrestling. It's not just that he's working Bret tribute spots. He's working a lot like Bret would in general. His matches are very logical and he's getting optimum mileage out of every spot and move. The only real misstep was the Lee Moriarty match. Frankly, outside of that, I think he's having the run of his career right now.

Ohhhhh, I hope we get a cage match or a dog collar match during this run, for sure.
-
This. It seems he's done a lot of healing and he's at peace. I think it's really awesome to see. I'm really diggin' what he's doing in the ring, too.

My heart wants to be a heavy metal version of The Great Muta or Terry Gordy, but my narrow ass is far better suited to being a heavy metal version of JC Ice.

Three waves of chills at that entrance. God DAMN.

Rollins tries to pull the ol' Killer Bees switcheroo with Al Perez and eats a superkick while trying to get his shit in. Chris Adams might not have a match on his resume as good as that Shield vs Wyatts six man, but he understood how to be a babyface and a heel far better than Rollins does.

Whoever they are, not a damn one of them wore Megadeth shirts to the ring.

I'm contemplating submitting a ballot this go round. At the very least, I'll be participating in the discussions. One great thing about all these threads is that they serve as a guidebook and they're great for inspiring one to check out workers they've never seen before. So, having never seen a Jaguar Yokota match before, I did a youtube search. A seven minute match vs Leilani Kai comes up. As I regard Ms. Kai as a homegirl and certified ass stomper, I figured this would be a solid TV match and a perfect introduction to Jaguar. WOW. She leaps off the screen. Total conviction, blistering execution, and she is so fierce. I am an instant fan and regardless of whether I do a ballot, my next mission is watching as much Jaguar Yokota as I can. Thanks, everyone.

Dude, you're reaching here. Hard. "Not interested" is about as diplomatic as it gets and he doesn't owe WWE or the fans a damn thing regarding that situation. As far as him opening up in regards to kayfabe, things change and so do people. Yeah, he's getting paid, but at the same time, he's got a lot to offer by opening up. Not to mention the fact if he were to do a podcast using his old approach, it'd probably come off a little silly.

Instead of working with a toxic company that treated him like shit for the fans, the fans can mosey on over to his podcast.

WWE TV 02/01 - 02/07 PALMEIRAS IS THE LIBERTADORES DA AMERICA CHAMPION
southofheavy replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
This. I have zero desire to bother with mainstream music and it's been that way for a long time. Whenever I have the unfortunate circumstance of seeing it do its thing, I am reminded why. There is nothing there for me. Frankly, Bad Bunny was annoying as piss.
