    Embry attacking Lawler's neck after the DDT was absolute gold. As was Lawler's comeback. I have to agree that the cage was all kinds of wrong and distracting.

    Love this matchup. Jumbo is so good at making a lesser guy like Kawada looks like he has a glimmer of a chance. Then slamming the door shut with enough authority that you know Jumbo is still The Man.

    Hogan when he is more subdued comes across as human. Not entirely, but enough that you can really get behind him as a babyface. Great interview.

    I am all for no more Brother Love, despite some very high points of the segment. But having your top babyface beat the crap out of a completely defenseless interviewer, no matter how much of an asshole he may be, seems a bit over the top.

    Once Kitao realized Tenta was onto him, he didn't get anywhere near where the big guy could grab him. Probably smart given Tenta's Greco-Roman background.

    Hogan really looks good. Crowd was NOT buying into Yatsu one bit.

    Kobashi was always great working a side headlock. Definitely better than Misawa working any kind of hold for any amount of time. Just not a strength of Misawa's and I'm pretty sure he knew that given how often he didn't do it. But how else do you wear down an up-and-coming stablemate like Kobashi without looking like a complete prick?

    Good beginning for bearer's interview segment. I like that just the idea of the Undertaker is scary to most of the wrestlers.

    Great fireball and a completely unexpected twist to the WM ending.

    Pretty good shootstyle match. The flurries at the end made the ending really memorable.

    Martel and Funk for 50 minutes sounds great! Brody and Abdullah was never gonna work, I'd have to agree. Seems like this month the focus is very much on the Rougeaus, where last month it was squarely on Martel. I do like both the Raymond and Jacques arcs this month.

    Really well done by Roddy and ted to make this segment work. Oh yeah, and Sherri too. She is so great, too bad she's not a man that the WWF could really make into a star.

    Good for a lot of the reasons mentioned above. But it went on far too long with Koko trying to teach Bobby to dance.

    I am with all of the HATE for referees enforcing the rules in this kind of match. Kind of goes against the concept doesn't it?

    No issues with this. Foley didn't belong here and I don't see what else Jumbo was supposed to do with him.

    I was definitely looking at being part of the NWA. Having the champ come around and screw Colon or whoever out of a title win with some shenanigans will be a treat. As a FYI, El Boricua will be doing a lot of background work, helping out to keep rosters, characters and storylines within the realm of Puerto Rico (even if it is fantasy booking). Don't think that because I am doing a lot of the writing that he doesn't have a big influence on this. And anybody you send to PR may get bloodied up a bit, but they will get their chance to shine.

    I like Martel's story so far. I am pulling for him getting that win over Samu and going into the Flair bout with some steam. Also, I like building up Samu this way as well. Programs that benefit both guys are always a plus.

    Not a Hogan guy by any means, but it works. Problem for me is Savage/Warrior was on the same card.

    This was pretty amazing. Warrior looks great even throwing shit punches. Savage and Sherri work double overtime to wring every bit of drama out of this match. The post-match stuff was sappy, but it works so damn well I don't care.

    Loved this promo. Terry is believable no matter what he says, which is just crazy considering everything he ranted on here.

    I never got into Ted when I saw anything WWF as a kid. But the guy really does everything well. He has his character down to a T and all of these segments with him are well-executed.

    I am completely with Loss on Pritchard's impression of Piper. It needs to be gone rightNOW. Great clips from MSC and I do wish that Lawler could have gotten the title back under better circumstances. This is, however, Memphis and I'd agree that wonky booking in title matches or big name matches is just going to be there. Funk throwing the railing around was all kinds of spectacular.
