  1. For a guy who was 56 and 3 years out of wrestling, Bock looked really impressive. I like that they kept it basic and worked everything in a really gritty fashion. Definitely my kind of match.
  2. Not great, but glad I got to see 2 legends mix it up. Casas' outfit was something else.
  3. Great match between the two best high end guys left in the WWF. Loved Piper's fire here.
  4. I thnk Lawler doing the "real world title" thing was much, much better after seeing this. Larry does what he can with it, he's just not on the same level.
  5. Whatever faults he had as a promo, Orndorff was miles ahead of Doc. Really hoping this match made tape somewhere though.
  6. Ted again proves that he is an unsung hero for the WWF in 1990. I'm sorry I ever doubted JvK about how great Teddy was.
  7. Great work by Savage and Heenan here. Savage's outfits are so bizarre they actually start making sense.
  8. I've signed on with the idea of Eddie Gilbert as promo of the year, but if Dusty had been doing this all year it would have been a much tougher call.
  9. Goofy fun, but a little one-note for me.
  10. Jerry Lawler fired up promo? AND a video of Lawler punching a bunch of big names repeatedly? I'm in!
  11. Eddie IS Jerry Lawler now. I love how this stuff about Eddie being the New King (and all of his rhetoric) plays into Lawler's accusation months earlier. It's great that all of Eddie's crowing just proves Lawler's point that Eddie is just some punk kid who really, really wants to be Lawler. The fact that Eddie is actually a better heel Lawler makes it even better.
  12. This was damage control, plain and simple. It's better than the months before it anyway.
  13. Man, now I am torn between wanting to see the Fabs and MX in Memphis. Can I get both, with some kind of 3 man stable thing instead? Anyway, good to see Corny in Memphis.
  14. Hansen, God bless him, did what he could with what he was handed. He did get to put a legit gripe out there about the cowbell though, so good for him.
  15. Would have liked to see more of the match. Good enough for what we got.
  16. Good to know where the "Kane" thing they used years later came from anyway.
  17. I do like Rogers interacting with the crowd. He seems like a guy who would have excelled in the territory days.
  18. I'm with DiBiase as the MVP of the year for the WWF. He was Mr. Consistency throughout. Maybe Vince realized that Kerry was extremely damaged goods by this point and started writing him out?
  19. Steamboat as Scorpion??? This has promise. Anyway, thank God this whole bullshit saga is over and Ole is out of town. Good luck picking up the pieces Dusty.
  20. Luger vs. Hansen was way better than I expected. Then again, before the 1990 stuff I didn't know Luger was so damn good. I agree that he gets to showcase a different side of himself in this setting and it's something I wish we'd seen more of.
  21. This is absolutely my kind of match and there need to be more like it. Nasty, stiff, no useless stuff to fill time....great stuff.
  22. I really do love this time in AJPW. Misawa, Kawada, Taue and Kobashi are all improving so rapidly that Jumbo has to up his game in order to stay the ace. Great tag match and those 20+ minutes absolutely flew by.
  23. These two have incredible chemistry. Waltman in particular has a ton of potential. Too bad his personal issues got in the way so often.
  24. Sounds like a fun match, but you have to hope Eddie and Tommy are in for short bursts. Even if they are probably better than half of the WWF roster still.
  25. Not the best Terry promo, but I'll always be happy to see the guy on my screen.
