  1. Great stuff all-around, capped by a wild in-studio brawl. I will miss the Fabs, but Eddie being back and at Lawler's throat makes up for it.
  2. Great, great studio brawl. These two could feud forever and I would not complain.
  3. Memphis beatdowns always go on way too long for me. The building they tape in is NOT big enough that the other babyfaces are that far away. And the MSC beatdowns go on FOREVER.
  4. I'm withholding judgement on this until I see where it goes. Lawler and Gilbert can still bicker while they try to get rid of the Texans.
  5. Team Texas makes Eddie regret his decision to partner up with Embry. Good groundwork here and I'm curious how this turns out.
  6. If this HAD to be done, Heenan is the absolute perfect guy to put in there for it. Bobby is such a great, great talent. He could have been a stand-up comedian and excelled.
  7. I love how Memphis will bring enemies in line with stuff like this. It has a very different feel than most wrestling storytelling. The Tennessee pride maybe trumping Lawler and Gilbert's hate is such a great story to throw in. Almost like a comic book reluctant team-up now that I think of it.
  8. Man, Jeff just kills it here. He sounds so incredibly sincere, like it actually means something to him.
  9. Really good brawl. I love the heat on Embry now that he's with Tojo and Young. Hell, just seeing Embry and Young working together is a great little shock in and of itself.
  10. I'm with garretta here. Trying to have the same feuds across both is not working. The crowds are into different guys and it's gonna be a bit of a clusterfuck. That being said, good enough match for what they had to do. Jarrett's early years are surprisingly not offensive to me. Once 1996 or 1997 hits I'm out for good on him though.
  11. I love seeing these two tangle! It's too short, but let's face it. We all KNEW there was gonna be a screwy finish. Even if we never saw the match, there was no other option here. But the setup for the double DQ was ridiculous and needed to be more thought out.
  12. Fun match. I liked the different look at Austin than we'd seen in 1990. He's proving to be really versatile and a quick learner.
  13. Spivey is surprisingly good here. I can't be too surprised by Luger after the bright spot he was in 1990. Did not expect the match to be worked as smartly as it was. Pretty solid show WCW put on if you ask me.
  14. Kawada got to look big at the end. Showing that much fight against the MVC was something not many ever got to do solo. But the MVC did their usual act in the middle of the match, which tends to make these 20+ minute matches drag.
  15. I always love when the Horsemen get to look like...you know...THE FREAKIN HORSEMEN! And this is one of those times. 1991 WCW at least has highlights in terms of booking that 1990 just didn't have. It's like somebody with wrestling sense had power or something.
  16. Pillman was absolutely THE MAN here. How did WCW not look at him and see a money guy after this? Great match with huge contributions from Windham, Flair, Rick Steiner and..Sid?!? Easily the best WCW match since January 1990.
  17. Great stuff. Virgil holds up his end better than I expected.
  18. Lots of blood and violence, entertaining. Did not love it even if that first table they used NOT breaking looked painful as shit.
  19. Best voice over work for a wrestling hotline yet. Did that guy take the calls in that voice? If so, completely worth $2.00 for a minute.
  20. There are a lot of reasons to love Memphis. Segments like this are pretty high on that list. I know Cornette doesn't show up again after tonight, but it was great while it lasted.
  21. Hate to see them go, especially after such an excellent night for Cornette and Keirn.
  22. Good schtick match. I was more than a little annoyed with Pritchar-Piper?-no, Pritchard. Definitely Pritchard. I get annoyed with Piper on WWF commentary, it just gets worse when it's an imitator.
  23. Love the Horsemen team here. Horner was (again) weak on the hot tag, but Armstrong put in a great match and it's only because 1991 is so strong (and the finish) that this isn't one of the top matches of the year so far.
  24. Poor kid, can't believe his tough luck. I guess a stand-up guy like Tony Anthony will have to step in and be the father figure. Yeah, that.
