  1. Hey, when all else fails, go after Dave Meltzer. It's the easiest possible fallback to get people off your back. Look at his replies, it's full of people who were hating on him now defending him because he went after Dave.
  2. Explains the radio silence wrt anything Figure 4 Online-related as well. He was a regular rotating guest for Alvarez and just stopped in the past few months.
  3. At this point that's all I ask for. I might look into this show.
  4. Yeah, Cornette wasn't happy with how often Sean was going to the well with Russo. He's mentioned it on Twitter but that was quite awhile ago and they patched things up since them. I remember Sean's response was to take the high road and he would always say Cornette was welcome to do more stuff with Sean whenever he liked. Yeah, it's a solid and pretty underrated track, you'd be surprised you're one of the few people to recognize where it comes from. I'm a weird outlier in that I can understand and separate both eras of Genesis and think both eras are totally fine!! I can enjoy me some 80s and 90s Genesis anytime (Even Calling All Stations, the Ray Wilson Genesis album, has one totally acceptable track, "Congo"). But I never really got the whole debate over Joel vs. Mike with MST3K either so I guess it doesn't take much to make me enjoy something.
  5. Sean even had legit heat with Cornette for a few years and it led to Cornette refusing to work with him for awhile because of his constant association with Russo as well as Sean poking the bear by asking Cornette questions on Russo's shoots with him.
  6. I would bet an entire farm on Corey finding out what a "beta cuck" is and waiting for months to spring it on someone as an insult on the show if his recent Twitter history which you mention directly below this sentence is any indication.
  7. To be a fly on the wall when Corey is explaining to Paul Heyman what a "beta cuck" is.
  8. You can't tell me Vince fed him that line. 100% that was all Corey. Incredible what a deep end drop in quality Corey's had ever since NXT.
  9. 100% I cosign here. Waltman's great in this shoot, big time highlights being his Hall of Fame story and his brutal, brutal honesty with having to wrestle Nikolai Volkoff during the house shows. @The Thread Killer your list of what to recommend and not recommend is essentially spot on. I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun Greg Valentine's 1985 timeline was, especially surprised at hearing he was completely down with the Rock'n'Wrestling idea and that he was already a fan of Cyndi's music at that point. I was completely expecting his to be as disappointing as Bob Orton's Supercard one (MAN I am so bummed I spent actual money on that one) and came out of it liking it a lot. Muraco's Timeline would've really benefited from being done later on when Sean's interview style got better and the production values got better.
  10. Scott Keith of all people was posting about it earlier in the week.
  11. They all aired as Prime Time Wrestling episodes and the first wrestling-centric one was Survivor Series Showdown '89, so once we actually get to that timeframe for PTW we will hopefully see those pop up.
  12. My gut: it will be the full MSG Network broadcasts of those two shows and not the specific MTV specials because there's a *ton* of music copyright hurdles they'd need to go through to the point where just dubbing in their own music would be so much work it'd be a useless endeavor. Which is a shame because those specials are absurd fun where you get stuff like "Roddy Piper is the way he is because in Glasgow the water is polluted". I'd LOVE to be proven wrong though because as of right now only the last quarter of The Brawl to Settle It All MTV broadcast is currently available (and has only been available for about less than a year now) and having that available would be a pretty big piece of wrestling history finally surfacing in full.
  13. That's been the constant complaint in the games journalism industry as well.
  14. The show knows its audience--people who love to rag on Dave. It's why his Twitter trolls feel the need to mention Bruce, Conrad, and Bischoff in the tweet whenever they respond to one of Dave's tweets by trolling him. Look at the typical responses to any of Dave's tweets. At least one of the responses is going to have someone responding and @'ing Bruce, Conrad's, or Bischoff's Twitters, sometimes all three, as if they want them to respond and troll Dave more. This is the audience Conrad earned, he knows where his bread is buttered at this point. The constant dirt sheet whining is what turned me off on the show entirely.
  15. I watched bits and pieces of this RAW and not having Corey on the show really is night and day. Thank god for all of you that ya'll don't have to hear him and Renee bicker back and forth. He should stay on vacation. EDIT to add holy shit was that some real cheesy cheap heat having Sasha Banks say that Jim Neidhart is in hell.
  16. The August 12th, 2002 Wrestling Observer was just put up and laughed at this piece of news: "Ron Killings did a radio interview where he put over Russo for giving him "The Truth" gimmick, and said he'd never go back to WWE (write that one down, folks)."
  17. Gotta disagree in that Heenan I feel was perfect for The Missing Link. The entire schtick they did was Heenan was a guy who was completely incapable of handling him while also bragging about being able to handle him. It fit the Heenan character of the time perfectly in thinking he could handle literally anything and then rather than admitting Link was too out of control for him, doubling down on it. Them giving The Missing Link to Jimmy Hart would be on the list of terrible combinations though. Hart didn't really have the same sense of timing Heenan did wrt The Link.
  18. It really shows off what the WWE Machine does to you because outside of the ring on stuff like Instagram, Peyton is by far the funnier of the two.
  19. I do not care about this match in the slightest nor do I want to see it got 20 minutes. I've been done with the both of these guys for ages to be honest. Renee going "these past few weeks have been horrific to watch" made everyone in the room almost spit out their drinks laughing.
  20. lmao that finish on SummerSlam
  21. It's so refreshing, I really missed that. Yeah we're using a PS4. It's slowly been getting better but it was almost unwatchable during the entire Becky-Nattie match.
  22. I realize this isn't just a Corey Graves thing but Corey drooling all over Shane for being the Best in the World when he was one of the ones having the most fits about it when it happened and after it happened is sooooo bad.
  23. Everytime I see Ray Rougeau I am happy.
  24. Xavier is the man.
  25. Michael Cole after the post match spear: "I don't get it".
