GOC, i understand your communication with an individual in regards to a pm, but the issue at hand is that that communication needs to be put forth from the owner on to this page. In reality me saying that somebody is in means nothing until that person says it. Just like I stated with Parv I am running the WWF until the end of the month but it is up to him whether or not he wants to continue to go. He will need to let us know what his plan is nobody should have a proxy for this kind of a decision.
-
I just wanted to be clear as we approach this draft, if you want someone from these individuals you should select them. If they are not selected they will be added to the free agency list and then they will be able to be cycled through by promotions and swapped in and out with current roster members.
-
I love that idea Boon, way to get it going. I think this should be the roll call. IF you don't post on here, that is a signification that your time is done, but that's my opinion.
-
Mid South is still in. I am also working WWF through the month so they would be active unless Parv has other plans. If we have the "mas exodus" I really urge us to look at the "shake up" style of a draft with all available talent. If someone doesn't sign in or communicate on this thread (I think we're beyond the point of only talking through PM), they should be dropped. Someone can take the ball of sending this PM to all those active to keep them apprised of what is going on if they don't (which is the issue at hand). With the new guy who would be interested, we wait 1 week from today, which is a long enough time, and he could possibly pick a "dead promotion" and begin running it. I would say in order for that to happen, we would need to see some consistency out of him through feedback and discussion for this week before we'd open up one of the many plentiful rosters to someone. Nothing against him, just ran this before and had people come in for a month, do nothing, then we're back to square one.
-
I completely agree with dawho. With picking up wwf for the month I doubled my workload and haven't faltered. Like beast says, it is no hard feelings buy like everyone has stated there is a certain level of commitment but more importantly communication that has been lacking from those who has been inactive. I am not keen on tossing people out but those of us who do communicate and are active should definitely have some kind of say in how things will go since others have vanished on this section of the board due to a number of circumstances.
-
There is discussion going on right now Kev, we'll be in touch.
-
Thanks for the feedback. I may be double dipping with the rosters, but Dibiase is already on the books for WWF and this could be a huge turning point if he beats Backlund to get a shot at Bock while in Mid South he could retain the title and kick the dog to the curb. Or he could lose in one place and go for the title in the other. He could also lose both and not have a job. It is an interesting predicament.

Mid South Wrestling television taping from the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana {Mid South Wrestling opens to a nice little package showcasing some of the big stars of Mid South. We then cut to Jim Ross and Bill Watts at ringside!} Jim Ross: Ladies and gentlemen welcome to Mid South Wrestling! I am Jim Ross alongside the Cowboy Bill Watts. Bill, tonight, we have got four great matches on the card and with one week until the Superdome, you know that Ted Dibiase and the Junkyard Dog are counting their blessings. Bill Watts: Well Jim, it was announced earlier in the week that tonight, Ted Dibiase has to step into the ring with a double tough man, someone who could take claim to that North American title if he makes it out of the Superdome alive… and that is Stan the Lariat Hansen! Jim: When you look at this card fans, you will see the top stars in all of wrestling. We have got a big tag team contest with Bruiser Brody and the Junkyard Dog taking on Dibiase’s mercenaries, The Sheik and Abdullah the Butcher. Bill: You know that Dibiase put out a LOT of money to make sure the JYD wouldn’t make it to the Superdome next week! Jim: Well our opening contest is one that we know has some real hatred… the Germans and Sweet Daddy Siki & Burrhead Jones… these four men have been at one another every week and it is going to come to head right now. Bill: These four men know what its all about and one way or another, someone is going to reach their breaking point. Jim: Fans let’s head to the ring! Boyd Pierce: Ladies and gentlemen welcome to Mid South Wrestling! Our first contest is scheduled for one-fall with a 20-minute time limit. In the corner to my left, from Berlin, Germany… The German Destroyers… Kurt Von Hess and Baron Von Raschke! Their opponents…. From Moncks Corner, South Carolina & Toronto, Canada… Burrhead Jones & Sweet Daddy Siki! Sweet Daddy Siki & Burrhead Jones vs The German Destroyers {A fun opener here with these four men who have got some nice heat with one another. The crowd is hot for this one, as they have seen it unfold on television and we get 6-minutes of some fast paced action. The Germans are a much better team but Burrhead and Siki really have got the crowd behind them. Watts and Ross say that the winner of this contest could likely go on for a tag title shot down the line. The Germans decide to get the upperhand in their dastardly ways and control the pace until Sweet Daddy Siki gets a huge tag and comes in like a house of fire. The fans get pumped here as Siki hoists up Von Hess and he is spinning him around as there is pure chaos inside the ring. He continues to turn and turn and WHACK! The referee goes down and then Siki goes for the 1…2….3…. but there is no referee! PeeWee Anderson runs down to the ring and he checks on the referee. Outside the ring the Baron RAMS Burrhead’s head into the post and then locks on the claw outside the ring! Burrhead looks to be busted open. Peewee calls for the bell! Boyd Pierce is trying to figure out what is going on as Sweet Daddy and Von Hess are still fighting in the ring. We hear that the Germans have won due to DQ when Sweet Daddy hit the referee with Von Hess! He is protesting but while he does that, Von Hess pulls off the Baron whose hand is covered in blood. Burrhead Jones looks down and possibly out!} *COMMERCIAL* {Mid South Wrestling returns with results from last night’s Houston Wrestling. Watts and Ross put over the IronMan TV Title Tournament action…} IRONMAN TV TITLE TOURNAMENT Mr. Wrestling II defeated Tiger Chung Lee w/ Tojo with a spinebuster and pinfall @ 11:34. Mr. Wrestling received 20 points in the tournament! IRONMAN TV TITLE TOURNAMENT Don Muraco w/ The Grand Wizard defeated ThunderBolt Patterson via DQ @13:21 when Muraco acted like he was hit by The Grand Wizard’s cane. ThunderBolt was holding the can threatening Muraco but he acted like he was hit and PeeWee Anderson called for the bell! Don Muraco received 10 points in the tournament! Bill: Well Jim, I think can say that things started off with a bang in the Ironman tournament. Jim: You look at how important that victory was for Mr. Wrestling II. 20 points is a great lead and you can see that even Muraco won, but he is only halfway there. Bill: In a couple of weeks, I expect things to really heat up when we see ThunderBolt and Wrestling II in action and of course we will see Tiger Chung Lee and Don Muraco one on one. Jim: I think those are contests everyone is interested to see. These four men all have drawn lines in the sand and in a couple of weeks, those lines may be blurred. Bill: Well lemme tell ya, there’s a guy coming out here right now that could have been in this tournament had he been around for the drawing and that is the Tonga Kid. Jim: The Tonga Kid is a mainstay in the Carolinas and he’s looking to get his feet wet in Mid South. He is one of the most talented young wrestlers I have seen in quite some time. Boyd Pierce: Ladies and gentlemen our next contest is scheduled for one-fall with a 15-minute time limit. Introducing first, in the corner to my left, he hails from Santo Domingo, Israel Matia! His opponent, he hails from the Isle of Samoa, The Tonga Kid! The Tonga Kid vs Israel Matia {A fun showcase for the Tonga Kid who comes out to a great ovation from the crowd. The fans are really behind him and he has a fast paced offense second to none. Israel is stumbling and bumbling as Tonga flies around the ring and before we know it, a couple of huge dropkicks and a flying headbutt for the 1…2…3 and Tonga is victorious! Tonga works the crowd then heads over to the announce booth…} Jim: Tonga Kid welcome in here. What a DEBUT! Tonga Kid: Oh brutha you know I am flying with the best of em right now. I am so high right now brother I could jump through the roof! Bill: Well Tonga, lemme tell you, you’ve got so much talent, some of the best I have seen in quite some time. Tonga Kid: Well Mr. Watts, it is a honor to be here in Mid South, and I am looking to make the most of every opportunity I’ve got. Jim: We know about the challengers in Mid South, but is there someone you’d be interested in… {Just then we see Tiger Chung Lee and Tojo walk out to a chorus of boos…} Jim: Wait just a moment… Tojo, what do you want out here? Tojo: You shut your mouth Jim Ross… you and Cowboy… you talk about all the best stars but you don’t talk about my Tiger Chung Lee. He is the most dangerous man in wrestling and he will take on all comers! Jim: Well we didn’t say anything about that… Bill: Well I don’t know what you want from us…. Tojo: What I want from you is to stop showing off bums like this man… I want a television match for my Tiger Chung Lee every week. He could beat anyone, anytime, anywhere! Tonga: Hey brother, no harm meant. I just want a chance to show my skills… Tojo: Skills… you have one skill… that is to walk away… or my Tiger Chung Lee will send you away on a stretcher! {Tiger then steps in and he is eye to eye with Tonga… Bill Watts jumps in between them and Tojo pulls him back…Watts says it will happen next week… Tonga Kid vs Tiger Chung Lee!} *COMMERCIAL* {Mid South returns with a promo for the big Superdome card on the 24th. We see the following matches being signed… MAIN EVENT NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP DOG-COLLAR MATCH LOSER LEAVES TOWN MATCH The Junkyard Dog vs Ted Dibiase © MID SOUTH TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen vs The Wild Samoans © w/ The Grand Wizard NWA CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIP Rick Martel © vs Don Muraco w/ The Grand Wizard NWA MINI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Cowboy Lang vs Little Tokyo © ThunderBolt Patterson vs The Sheik The Fantastics vs The German Destroyers Mr. Wrestling II vs ‘Cowboy’ Scott Casey {We then cut to some pre-taped interviews from competitors coming in…} Rick Martel: I want to first off thanks Bill Watts and the Mid South board of directors for bringing me in to the Superdome. I know that wrestling for Mid South brings a lot of honor and tradition. That’s exactly what this championship means to me and that’s exactly the opposite of Don Muraco. You wanted to come out and call me out last week, well Donny Boy… the question has been answered and the date has been set! September the 24th, live from New Orleans, the Superdome is going to be rocking and rolling and Rick Martel is coming for a fight… and fight you will not be ready for. YEAH! Scott Casey: You know I woke up to a letter in the mail from Bill Watts and Mid South Wrestling saying they wanted to showcase Scott Casey against the best in the world. They sent me a contract for the Superdome and on the dotted line I saw another name… Mr. Wrestling II. HA! Bill Watts… you have got to be kidding me! Wrestling II is nothing but a masked fool! Everyone in the Mid South area knows it and he’s going to find out the hard way! There is only one Cowboy in wrassling and it is Scott Casey and Wrestling II… you don’t just need to worry about winning and losing the match… I am going to take your mask… your dignity… and any ounce of legend you think you have left in this business! Jim: Look at some of those matches Bill. Bill: Well you look at that big one with Muraco and Martel. He asked for it and now he gets it in 1 week. This could be huge if Muraco walked out with the Canadian Championship… he’d be going for two titles then! Jim: I am especially interested in the ThunderBolt Patterson vs Sheik contest. These two men haven’t had very many interactions, but ThunderBolt has called him out for his allegiance with Ted Dibiase and his attacks on the Junkyard Dog. Bill: Well the JYD has got a lot of friends in Mid South and ThunderBolt knows when someone is doing something the right way or not. It is going to be a fun contest to watch. Jim: I completely agree… that Scotty Casey can sure run his mouth… Bill: You are telling me. That guy is going to find out the hard way that Mr. Wrestling II is going to be coming to the Superdome and he’s going to be coming with a house of fire brother. Jim: You know that’s right. Fans our next contest features the hottest feud in Mid south… we’ve got tag team action, let’s head to the ring! The Junkyard Dog & Bruiser Brody vs the Sheik & Abdullah the Butcher {Here we go as Boyd Pierce can’t even get the introductions done as JYD and Brody come right down and we’ve got a fight on our hands! JYD has got a bandage over his head from the various attacks from the Sheik and Abdullah. This one is a nice 10-minute war. All four men get involved but the action gets out of hand and then we see Ted Dibiase come out. JYD steps down from the ring. Brody joins him as Dibiase talks to him men… fans we’ll be right back!} *COMMERCIAL* Jim: Fans thank you for joining us. Lemme tell you, during the commercial break, business just picked up. Bill Watts has left the announcer’s table and he’s talking to PeeWee Anderson… wait just a moment. Stan Hansen came out here during the break, he was supposed to be in a match with Dibiase in our main event… Cowboy what’s going on here? Bill: I just spoke to PeeWee Anderson and then I talked to Stan Hansen. He said he wanted it… then I told Dibiase… this is a six-man tag! Jim: Fans anything can happen here on Mid South… let’s go to the ring! SIX-MAN TAG Junkyard Dog, Bruiser Brody, & Stan Hansen vs Ted Dibiase, Abdullah the Butcher, & The Sheik {We have got a huge six-man brawl now and the fans are just going WILD! We get a couple moments of wrestling but as soon as Hansen grabs Dibiase’s arm and drargs him over to the JYD, the roof explodes! JYD with some big rights and lefts and a huge back body drop! Dibiase is in pain as he goes to the corner but JYD pulls him back out to the middle of the ring. Abby and the Sheik run in and attack the JYD as Brody and Hansen come in and all hell has broken loose! Brody and Hansen take Abby and Sheik outside the ring but then we see things turned up a notch. The Grand Wizard is shown waving his arms and here comes Afa and Sika! They run down and attack Brody and Hansen! OH MY! Here comes Muraco to join the fight and the fans are electric right now as Abby and Sheik get back in the ring and they are going to work on the JYD! He is getting beat down in the middle of the ring but the crowd pops again as Wrestling II and ThunderBolt run down. We have got pure chaos inside the arena right now. Bill Watts and Jim Ross are putting this through the roof and say we are one week away from the Superdome and the fight for Mid South in which one man will remain. Will it be Dibiase or JYD?!?} -

WWF at Agricultural Hall in Allentown, PA (TV Taping for WWF Challenge) Your hosts are Gorilla Monsoon and Superstar Graham Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton vs Pete Doherty & Tony Colon {A fun fast paced opener tonight. Fulton and Rogers are getting some nice love on television lately. Superstar and Gorilla put over how these guys want that rematch with Tiger Chung Lee and Mr. Fuji next week in Boston Garden. Inside the ring tonight, the Fantastics look fantastic and end up hitting a Rocket Launcher on Pete Doherty for the 1…2…3! Fulton and Rogers look out to the crowd and then to the camera and say they are looking for Fuji and Tiger… will they answer?} Jack Carson vs Dr. Death Steve Williams {A great showcase for Dr. Death Steve Williams. He is on fire right now and Gorilla says he doesn’t know if he can be stopped. Carson puts some nice offense but nothing near competitive for Dr. Death who nails the OKLAHOMA SLAM for the 1…2…3! Dr. Death says he wants more but who will answer the call? Gorilla and Superstar then put over the big card coming up next week in Boston!} WWF Live from the Boston Garden Tuesday September 20th 1983 WWF Championship The Junkyard Dog vs Nick Bockwinkel Bob Backlund vs Ted Dibiase WWF Intercontinental Championship Ricky Steamboat © vs Randy Savage Jack Brisco vs Dory Funk Andre the Giant & Partner vs Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen George Steele vs Randy Savage (From 9/13 – Philadelphia Spectrum) {A pretty short, but entertaining contest with Savage and Steele. Savage works the crowd up, as they are still hot about the previous contest. He breaks a couple of rules in trying to rile up the Animal who breaks loose before too long and starts chasing Savage around the ring! Once they get back in the ring, it is Savage who takes control of the contest. Steele tries to get in some offense and he does work over Savage but the Macho Man has just a little bit more in the tank. A couple of huge shots and then a spinning neckbreaker sets up Savage for a FLYING ELBOW and the 1…2…3!! Savage makes the signal for the title and he says it will be his next week from the Boston Garden! Gorilla and Superstar cut to a special promo from Ricky Steamboat…} Ricky Steamboat: Well ladies and gentlemen it is set. Next Tuesday night in the Boston Garden, Randy Savage and myself are going to head into the ring and the Intercontinental Championship is going to be on the line. Randy Savage you put out the bounty on me but it wasn’t paid. You had to sneak up behind me and try and knock me out, but it didn’t take. I am here… right now… telling you that without a shadow of a doubt, I am going into Boston with this title and I am leaving with it! Bret Hart vs Arn Anderson w/ Ole Anderson {A nice back and forth contest with Arn and Bret. These two guys work so well together. Arn is an overbearing heel and he is working the crowd but Bret Hart has got a lot of juice in the tank. These guys go about 12-minutes as Gorilla and Superstar put it through the roof. In the end, Bret is looking to finish but when he hits the ropes Ole grabs his foot. Bret looks down at him and when he turns around Arn Anderson grabs him for a DDT! 1…2….3!! Arn is the winner as he and Ole celebrate. Gorilla and Superstar put over the night’s action and wonder just who will be able to challenge these two for the tag team titles!?!} WWF at Agricultural Hall in Fieldhouse in Hamburg, PA (TV Taping for WWF Superstars) Your hosts are Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura Vince McMahon: Welcome everyone to WWF Superstars! I am Vince McMahon alongside Jesse the Body Ventura. Jesse, you and I both saw the action from last night’s event in the Philadelphia Spectrum and the issue between Bob Backlund and Ted Dibiase has hit an all time high. Jesse Ventura: You’ve got that right McMahon. Now my sources told me about what was going to happen in Boston, but I was waiting for you to confirm it. Vince: I can confirm it at this point, fans this Tuesday night in the Boston Garden, it will be a loser leaves town CAGE MATCH between Bob Backlund and Ted Dibiase. I am told that the winner of this contest will face WWF Champion Nick Bockwinkel the following week in the Meadowlands for the title! Jesse: Huge news… just huge. I only have to wonder what Backlund will be doing after he loses to Dibiase and loses his job. I am excited to see Dibiase and Bockwinkel though… should be interesting. Vince: Well don’t speak too quickly Jesse, the thing is that Nick Bockwinkel has to defend the championship against the Junkyard Dog at the Boston Garden next week. He could not even make it through that contest. Jesse: I’d bet anything on it… Vince: Even your spot on Superstars? Jesse: No but I’d bet yours McMahon! Vince: HAHA! Fans we’ve got a great night of action and it is time to head to the ring for our opening contest! Dean Ho vs Mr. Fuji {A pretty basic contest with Fuji and Ho. Jesse says he spoke with Fuji about the Fantastics and he and Tiger Chung Lee agreed to the contest for the Boston Garden. He said that Fuji and Tiger were going to teach them a lesson and it may be the hard way if the Fantastics don’t follow suite. Fuji is able to nail a pretty nasty crescent kick to the throat and follow up with the 1…2…3! Jesse put over the team of Fuji and Tiger but Vince says that the Fantastics may be the ones with the momentum!} *COMMERCIAL* -Superstars returns with Vince and Jesse putting over the issue between Dory Funk and Jack Brisco. They discuss their confrontations and the big showdown in Boston next week. They discuss the tag team title picture and go through the issue that Andre the Giant had with Brody and Hansen the other night. They say Andre is going to have a partner next week and that could be the brawl to end it all! Andre the Giant vs The Goon, Randy Barber, & Baron Sciciuna {A good handicap contest with Andre doing work tonight. These three do their best but the big man is just too much for them to handle. Andre’s talent is showcased and this one is over before we know it with a big splash from Andre on the 3 of them for the 1…2..3! Vince and Jesse say Andre could contend for the tag team titles but wonder who would partner with him… or if he’d even need one!} *COMMERCIAL* {Superstars returns with Gorilla Monsoon doing some voiceover work putting over some of the major feuds with footage. We then cut to promos from some of the superstars…} Ted Dibiase: Bobby Backlund, you played right into my hands. I gave you exactly what I wanted and you took it. Tuesday night in the Boston Garden you are going to get more than you bargained for pal. That steel cage is going to grind you up and I am going to spit you out. I came here for one reason and that was to get my hands on the World Title… in order to do it.. I have to beat you first and that’s exactly what I am going to do! Bob Backlund: Each time we have been in that ring Ted Dibiase, you have broken the rules to try and get ahead. This Tuesday night in Boston… there are no rules. Inside that steel cage, anything can and will happen. I am looking forward to FINALLY getting my shot at Nick Bockwinkel but that means dealing with you first. I am not looking past you, I am simply looking through you and I am going to do whatever it takes to take you out and get back what is rightfully mine! Junkyard Dog: Ohh brother lemme tell ya something right now it feels good to be back right here in the WWF and I am looking across the ring at that low down dirty dog Nick Bockwinkel. Nick… you thought you got rid of this old dog but you thought wrong jack. I am back and I want my hands on that gold. You about to feel the THUMP heard round the world! Nick Bockwinkel: From my right and from my left. From behind but no one in front. That is where my challengers are all at but understand that they are all underneath me in every shape, form, and fashion. I hold the most prestigious championship in this sport. I have beaten every single competitor in my path. There is no equal to Nick Bockwinel. Now this Tuesday night, in Boston, Junkyard Dog… I know you paid the piper to get this second chance but fool me once shame on me, fool me twice and well that just doesn’t happen. Understand that once that bell rings I am going to break you down like the dog you are and show you why I am the only purebred champion in the sport of professional wrestling! Ricky Steamboat, Jack Brisco, & Billy Robinson vs Swede Hanson, Victor Rivera, & Jose Luis Rivera {A big main event for Superstars this week as we’ve got some premiere six-man tag team action. Steamboat, Brisco, and Robinson are about as good as it gets right now in wrestling and they put together a fun contest. Hanson and the Riveras try to get some heat but the babyfaces are just too much. Ricky Steamboat hits a huge flying crossbody on Victor Rivera for the 1…2…3!! Steamboat and company work the crowd. Vince and Jesse put over the night’s action and we end things with a word from Randy Savage and a final showcase of next week’s action in Boston!} Randy Savage: The time is coming Ricky Steamboat. The time is coming and there is nowhere for you to go. You see I am coming for that Intercontinental Championship Ricky Steamboat and you… you know it is going to happen. WWF Live @ the Philadelphia Spectrum - Tuesday September 13th 1983 {Gary Michael Cappetta announces the arrival of Dick Graham & Kal Rudman} Dick: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the Philadelphia Spectrum! I am Dick Graham alongside Kal Rudman. Kal, we have got an action packed night of action here this evening. I have to say that before we get to action, we wanted to let the fans know that Jerry Brisco will not be in action tonight. Kal: That’s right Dick. A couple of weeks ago, he was taken out by the Andersons. Tonight, Jack Briscoe says he has got someone to fill in as he goes up against the Andersons in tag team action. Dick: You better know that wherever Jack is, Dory Funk won’t be far behind. Kal: Dory Funk of course looking for a measure of revenge on Jack for hurting his brother Terry… but he hurt Jerry… so anything could happen. Dick: I am told that next week, these two men are going to clash in the Boston Garden. Kal: They may have to have some extra security for that one. Fans it is now time to head to the ring. Tonight we have got a great lineup all headlined by Wahoo McDaniels challenging Nick Bockwinkel for the WWF Championship, plus a rematch with Ted Dibiase taking on Bob Backlund. Dick: Don’t forget that big tag team contest, Randy Savage has employed the help of Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen to take on Ricky Steamboat and his special partner, Andre the Giant while he says he is out to prove that Steamboat can’t defeat him! Let’s go to the ring. The Fantastics vs Tiger Chung Lee & Mr. Fuji {Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers make their return to the WWF here but this time they face former WWF Tag Team Championship Contenders. Tiger and Fuji aren’t as spry as they once were but they put forth a good effort to slow the pace down and be methodical. Rogers and Fulton are able to keep things going at a fast enough pace to keep Fuji and Lee off balance. A pair of huge double dropkicks backs Fuji and Lee off and then a pair of high cross bodies and the crowd pops! Fuji gets to his feet and he’s got something in his tights. Fulton picks him up but Fuji throws the SALT in his eyes! The referee is locked up with Tiger and Rogers on the other side of the ring! Fuji with a NASTY crescent kick to Fulton’s throat and the 1….2….3! Tiger and Fuji get the victory and the fans aren’t happy!} -Dick and Kal put over the teamwork of Fulton and Rogers. They talk about how the experience of Lee and Fuji helped win the match along with the underhanded tactics. They move their attention to Randy Savage who says he will be the next Intercontinental Champion. They discuss how he will be facing Ricky Steamboat next week in Boston and the title will be on the line. They wonder if Savage’s bounty on Steamboat will allow him to even make it to the event after Brody and Hansen get a hold of him tonight. George Steele vs Randy Savage {A pretty short, but entertaining contest with Savage and Steele. Savage makes the signal for the title and he says it will be his next week from the Boston Garden!} -Dick and Kal put over how Savage may very well be the next IC champion. They discuss how smooth he is in the ring and how he can face anyone, any size. They change their focus to this issue with Dory and Jack Brisco. They talk about the clinic that Dory and Billy Robinson put on a week ago. They put over Billy’s shoulder issues and if Dory will finish it off pretty quickly. Billy Robinson vs Dory Funk Jr {This one builds right where they left off last week. We get 20 solid minutes of back and forth chain wrestling. Dory is at his finest and you better damn well know that Billy has stepped up his game as well. Dory attempts to work over the shoulder but Robinson appears to have rehabbed the injury and it doesn’t bother him. Dory then turns the tide to the knee and Robinson is doing anything he can to survive. Dory then works over the leg some more and he goes for the spinning toe-hold but the tide turns at Jack Brisco is here! He steps out and looks on in the ring and Dory looks at him. He lets go of the leg and wants him to come into the ring. Jack backs off and Dory grabs Billy again but Robsinon with a roll up for the 1…2….3!! Robinson wins it! he hobbles out of the ring as Brisco helps him up. Dory Funk is going wild and he isn’t happy one bit!} -Dick and Kal are really putting over Robinson’s ability to capitalize, Dory’s ability to break down his opponent, and Jack Brisco’s presence on Funk’s psyche. They talk about that big showdown next week in Boston and what is could mean for the WWF. They turn their tide to the next contest and talk about Randy Savage putting up a lot of moneyt o soften up Ricky Steamboat. They discuss how Brody and Hansen are the two men who are best fit to do it. Ricky Steamboat & Andre the Giant vs Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen {This is a great tag team encounter. Andre is such a great showman and he has got a great partner in Ricky Steamboat tonight. Brody and Hansen are two wild and crazy guys! Steamboat is able to work a lot of the “wrestling” of the contest and when Andre comes in the crowd just explodes. Andre works so well with Hansen and Brody. They play the big man’s game so well. It is Steamboat who comes in and turns up the pace. Brody and Hansen are about to get a double clothesline on Andre taking him out of the ring to the floor. It is then a 2 on 1 attack outside the ring and the referee continues to count and reaches 10! Steamboat is out inside the ring from a nasty LARIAT from Hansen. Steamboat and Andre have “won” the contest but Andre is getting taken out, outside the ring. The crowd then pops when Randy Savage is showing running down to the ring and he attacks Steamboat! He is all over him! Savage is pounding away. We have officials and agents running down to the ring and trying to break things up. Savage, Brody, and Hansen walk to the back as the crowd is flooding them with debris!} *10-Minute Intermission* -Dick and Kal are back and put over the first half of action. They discuss just how important the contest will be coming up with Backlund and Dibiase in determining just who will get a shot at the WWF championship down the line. They discuss the tag team of Ole & Arn Anderson and what they could do as tag team champions. They also wonder who Jack Brisco got for a tag team partner…. WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Jack Brisco & Superstar Billy Graham vs Arn & Ole Anderson {Let the cat out of the bag as the Superstar is back and he looks better than ever! Graham comes out to a great ovation. This one is a fun 10-minute affair with Brisco doing a brunt of the work but Superstar coming in for the pop. Ole and Arn are by their lonesome tonight as Dick and Kal talk about Gene and Lars waiting in the wings somewhere. Ole and Arn are in some kind of a groove right now with their ability to work as a tag team. Jack and Superstar are looking good and the Andersons continue to get frustrated with the contest! The fans are solidly behind Jack and Graham and out of nowhere we see the true colors of the Andersons. Jack Brisco with a big dropkick on Arn and Superstar with a huge clothesline on Ole sends both of these guys out of the ring to the floor. Ole and Arn are not happy and they grab the titles! You’ve got to be kidding me… Ole and Arn are walking off with the belts! Mario Savoldi doesn’t know what is going on but he calls for the bell and that’s all she wrote. Superstar and Jack shake hands… they were that close to getting the titles back!} -Dick and Kal talk about just how close we were to seeing the titles change hands. They talk about the big contest with Jack and Dory next week and talk about this being a turning point in their feud. They discuss just who could challenge the Andersons and be successful. They put over the next contest and discuss how Dibiase had to cheat last week to get through the contest but this week, it could be different! Bob Backlund vs Ted Dibiase {Here we go with one of the hottest feuds going right now in the WWF. Dibiase and Backlund just go balls to the wall and we get a great contest. This one goes the full time limit of 30-mintues and it is back and forth. Dibiase works the neck and back for quite a bit of the contest and garners some great heat. Backlund fits back with some big offense and some high impact moves to slow down Dibiase. As time runs down Dibiase is able to hit a huge piledriver for a two count and then Backlund builds back up and he locks in the crossface chicken wing. He has it locked in tight as the bell rings and he things he won the contest. Mario lets him know that the time expired. Backlund is very let down at the announcement but he turns around and Dibiase is there with a huge right hand with that loaded glove!! Backlund drops down line a bag of potatoes. Dibiase pounds away! He then grabs the microphone and tells Backlund that he’s coming to Boston next week and only one of them is going to be able to walk away but the other must leave for good!} -Dick and Kal try to make sense of what Dibiase is talking about there. They say that they may be in action next week but hope to find out more tomorrow on television to see just what is going on. They put over the big main event with Wahoo and Bock for the title. They said they have seen so much tonight but there is still so much to come with the WWF Championship on the line. MAIN EVENT WWF CHAMPIONSHIP Wahoo McDaniel vs Nick Bockwinkel w/ Bobby Heenan {This is about as big as it gets. Bock continues to show his arrogance he truly is one of the best in the world at it. Heenan needs security with him as the crowd looks to be chomping at the bit to get their hands on him. This one is a fun 18-minute contest. Wahoo has got some big time power and strength and Bock flies all over for him. Bock is able to slow the contest down and he is working the neck of Wahoo something fierce. Heenan even gets his stabs and jabs in when the referee is tied up with Bock. Wahoo has to fight his way back and he does with some huge chops and strikes. Bock is doing everything he can to try and back him off but nothing doing. Heenan even gets up on he apron and Wahoo brings him in! Mario is losing control of this contest. Heenan drops something as he is running from Wahoo but the big guy catches him and hammers with some rights and then a HUGE OVERHEAD CHOP and Heenan is out! Wahoo turns around and Bock has got something in his hand and he NAILS HIM RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES! Wahoo goes down and Bock covers for the 1….2….3!! The crowd is irate right now! They are tossing debris at Bock and Heenan who are barely surviving this one. Wahoo is slow to get to his feet.} -Dick and Kal put over a solid night’s action. They then put over next week’s Boston card… WWF Live from the Boston Garden Tuesday September 20th 1983 WWF Championship The Junkyard Dog vs Nick Bockwinkel Bob Backlund vs Ted Dibiase WWF Intercontinental Championship Ricky Steamboat © vs Randy Savage Jack Brisco vs Dory Funk Andre the Giant & Partner vs Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen

WWF at Agricultural Hall in Allentown, PA (TV Taping for WWF Challenge) Your hosts are Gorilla Monsoon and Superstar Graham Bret Hart vs Tony Colon {Bret Hart is really getting over with Gorilla and Superstar. They say this guy could be something big down the line and put over what he’s done in the past couple of weeks. Bret has got it going in the ring too and he is able to dissect Colon and wear down the neck. Bret picks him up for the PILEDRIVER and the 1…2…3! Bret works the crowd as Gorilla and Superstar say it is only a matter of time before he gets his shot.} Dean Ho & Jerry Monti vs Dr. Death Steve Williams & Bobby Eaton {A very interesting tag team encounter here as Gorilla and Superstar put over this team. They talk about how Eaton and Williams have had some success as singles and decided to cause some more pain and destruction as a team. Monti and Ho really make them look good in the ring as both men are cutting their chops. Eaton shows some flashes of excellence while Dr. Death is as strong as an ox. A big POWERSLAM from Dr. Death on Monti spells the end for the 1…2…3! Eaton and Williams work the crowd, acting as though the world is beneath them. Superstar and Gorilla say that they may think it, but there’s plenty of teams who could challenge them and just may very well do that.} {We cut to extended highlights from the show at Madison Square Garden. Highlights of the WWF Tag Team Title contest are shown with Dory Funk handing over the briefcase full of money to the Andersons. We see the epic encounter of Ricky Steamboat and Randy Savage. The highlight is seeing moments from the Andre vs Bockwinkel & Heenan handicap match.} Tommy Rogers vs The Goon {Much like before, the praises of Tommy Rogers are not on short supply. There are some comparisons to Bret Hart but still a step behind. Gorilla says he has heard that Rogers has got a tag partner and could be making his way to the area before too long. The Goon really works over the crowd and he is going towards breaking every rule in the book. Rogers finds a way to get the momentum back and then he nails a big dropkick on the Goon sending him backwards before he hits the ropes and a big HIGH CROSS BODY for the 1…2…3!! Rogers gets a nice ovation from the crowd and you know he’s ready for a challenge.} Billy Robinson vs Swede Hanson {A fun little main event here as Gorilla and Superstar put over Billy Robinson and his impressive resume from Japan and throughout the world. Swede tries to work some power on Robinson, but the consignment pro has got a lot of tricks up his sleeve. We see some great in and out movements before Robinson gets control of the contest and before too long he nails Swede with a double arm suplex! He then goes to the ground and locks in a grounded necklock much like an abdominal stretch as Hansen is giving up. Billy works the crowd as Gorilla and Superstar put him over and talk about a dream contest between him and Steamboat for the IC title down the line.} WWF at Agricultural Hall in Fieldhouse in Hamburg, PA (TV Taping for WWF Superstars) Your hosts are Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura Vince McMahon: Welcome everyone to WWF Superstars! I am Vince McMahon alongside Jesse the Body Ventura! Jesse, tonight we have got a full lineup including a very interesting tag team contest and the Intercontinental Champion in action! Jesse Ventura: McMahon, let me first say that I deserve top billing for this show, lik e every other I am on! The second thing is this, you and I were at the Garden the other night, and I don’t think Ricky Steamboat is even going to be able to step into the ring tonight! Vince: We will see if that remains to be true. Also tonight fans, we will hear from WWF Champion Nick Bockwinkel and his insurance policy if you will, Ted Dibiase. Jesse: Dibiase is one of the most menacing men in all of professional wrestling and you can’t tell me that he doesn’t have Backlund’s number! Vince: We will see exactly what Bob Backlund has to say on that matter. Fans right now, we are heading to the ring for this colossal tag team encounter including Andre the Giant and his partner, Mr. Wrestling II as they take on former tag team champions, the Wild Samoans! Andre The Giant & Mr. Wrestling II vs The Wild Samoans {A huge opening contest tonight as Andre and Wrestling II work quite well together. The Samoans are like beasts out there without any direction. Afa and Sika get some great heat on Wrestling II and then he makes a big tag to Andre who comes in and gets some offense but even Afa and Sika find a way to hurt the big man. Andre is able to fend them off as Wrestling II gets back in and gets some fast paced offense in. The Samoans break him down once again but Wrestling II with a big tag to Andre and he is tossing both Afa and Sika around. He goes for a double underhook suplex on Sika and then the cover but Afa breaks up the pin. He throws the referee to the ground and we get a DQ! Afa and Sika attack the Giant with everything they’ve got but Wrestling II jumps back in and evens the odds for a moment as the Samoans retreat. Vince and Jesse say this one is far from over.} *COMMERCIAL* {We return from commercial with Vince and Jesse putting over the happenings from last week’s Superstars of Wrestling. We see Arn and Ole Anderson winning the world tag team titles and injuring Jerry Brisco.} Vince: That was the catalyst for all of this Jesse. We saw the Andersons dismantle Jerry Brisco and now Jack may be on his own for a while. Jesse: All in due payback if you ask me McMahon. For what Jack did to Terry Funk, this was justifiable in my book. Vince: The feud between the Briscos and Funks is one that dates back quite some time and I think we can all look forward to the future encounter between Dory and Jack. Jesse: I think it is a one sided brawl. Funk has got a lot more in the tank and I don’t think Jack will be able to hang McMahon! Vince: That remains to be seen. Right now, the men who some say got rich off this whole situation; the Andersons are in action. Let’s take it to the ring. SD Jones & Dominic DeNucci vs Arn & Ole Anderson w/ Gene Anderson {Arn and Ole are on some kind of a hot streak right now. This one isn’t pretty for Jones and DeNucci. Arn and Ole completely control the contest and look to be able to beat anyone in their path. A nasty spinebuster by Arn Anderson spells the end for SD and the 1…2…3! Arn and Ole shake hands with Gene and hold up the tag titles. Vince and Jesse say that the titles may be secure and unsure about who could possibly challenge for the gold!} *COMMERCIAL* {Superstars returns with Gorilla Monsoon doing some voiceover work putting over some of the major feuds with footage. We then cut to promos from some of the superstars…} Ted Dibiase: Let me make it abundantly clear to every single person out there in television land. I was paid to do a job and I haven’t done it yet. I pride myself on making more money, breaking more bones, and winning more matches than any other wrestler. I have won championships all over the world and I have ended twice as many careers. Backlund… you have crossed the wrong person pal and you need to pay. You need to pay for what you’ve done and Backlund, everybody’s got a price. You are going to find out just what it takes to survive when you step into the ring with Ted Dibiase! Bob Backlund: Ted Dibiase… you are a second generation wrestler with a great amateur background and you’ve thrown it ALL AWAY to be a mercenary. You are nothing but a hired gun and outlaw… you are nothing but a man who has sold his soul. Well Dibiase… you are looking at the man who is going to make YOU PAY! You wanna talk about money, you wanna talk about taking someone out… they are going to have to call in the National Guard to rip me off you! Bockwinkel… you make sure you see the tape. You make sure you watch really close… because you’re next! Nick Bockwinkel:One has to wonder just what it takes to be known as the best. Without a shadow of a doubt, you are looking at the premiere wrestler in the world today. This championship is the image of excellence and it has never looked better around the waist of a man than it does around mine. I have defended this title all over the world and I have beaten EVERY challenger in my way. Now a lot of people say that I have been ducking Bob Backlund. A lot of people have been saying that I have been dodging Bob Backlund. All you people are lacking the intelligence and knowledge to make a correct assumption. You see I am not afraid of Bob Backlund and I welcome his challenge. I welcome it so much that I am willing to sign the dotted line… it is just… I have too many other pressing items to take care of Bob. Perhaps you will move up the line… if I let you! WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP Ricky Steamboat vs Mr. Fuji {Vince and Jesse put over the words from those competitors as we go to the ring for our premiere contest. Jesse really puts over Savage and talks about how Steamboat may be afraid to step back into the ring with him. Vince opposes any of those notions. Fuji gets some decent heat but Steamboat fights back with everything he’s got. The crowd is solidly behind the Intercontinental Champion and the FLYING CROSS BODY and the 1…2…3 is all she wrote. Steamboat works the crowd as Vince and Jesse put him through the roof and discuss what it would be like to see a match with Bockwinkel and Steamboat, but first Randy Savage is waiting in the wings!}

Tuesday September 6th 1983, WWF live from Madison Square Garden {Howard Finkel is shown in the ring as he announces the arrival of Jesse Ventura and Vince McMahon!} Vince McMahon: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Madison Square Garden and Jesse Ventura, tonight, we have got a full card with some of the best action in the world. I have to say I am especially looking forward to our main event, the return of Andre the Giant! Jesse Ventura: McMahon, you know as well as I do that Andre may have bitten off more than he can chew. I have seen him defeat 2 and 3 men, but tonight he is going in there against the WWF champion and outside of me, one of the smartest men in wrestling… Bobby Heenan. Vince: Andre will certainly have his hands full. Tonight we will also see a rematch for the WWF Tag Team Championship as the Andersons, Arn and Ole defend their newly won titles against Jack and Jerry Brisco. Jesse: A lot of people say there was controversy with this title win, but the way I see it, the Andersons cashed in on an opportunity and took everything the Brisco’s had! Vince: Certainly there is a question as to a pay off of some sort. Some are pointing fingers at Dory Funk Jr… but time will tell on that situation. Tonight he will be going one on one with Billy Robinson, a true wrestler in that ring. Jesse: There is no doubting the skill of Billy Robinson, but I wonder what he will do against someone with the mean streak of a Dory Funk. Vince: That will be something to behold. Tonight, Ricky the Dragon Steamboat will go into the ring with Randy Savage. Jesse, I think it is safe to say that these two men have been putting on some amazing matches lately, but I feel we have just seen the beginning. Jesse: Well Randy Savage is someone I see a lot of potential in and if you ask me, he is a step away, or maybe an elbow away, from taking that Intercontinental Championship from Steamboat. Vince: He could earn that very opportunity right here tonight. We spoke about Nick Bockwinkel earlier, but I know that Bob Backlund is in line to get his hands on him, but tonight he has to step into that ring with Ted Dibiase. Jesse: Ted Dibiase is one of the best wrestlers in the world McMahon and without a doubt, he will be the one that closes the case on Backlund. Vince: I couldn’t disagree with you more… Jesse: What do you know McMahon?!? Vince: Well I do know that making their way to the ring right now is one of the up and coming tag teams in the sport. We have seen Tommy Rogers on television as of late and he has been quite impressive… Jesse: Well he has gotten lucky on television McMahon… but this is Madison Square Garden and there’s no telling as to what could happen when he steps into that ring tonight. Vince: He steps in with his tag team partner, Bobby Fulton… ladies and gentlemen they are the Fantastics. Let’s head to the ring. The Fantastics (Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton) vs The Goon & Tony Colon {Solid opening contest tonight from MSG. You can tell that Rogers and Fulton may be having some butterflies. Jesse really puts that over as Vince says he thinks they are rising to the occasion. The Goon and Colon do business the right way and make Rogers and Fulton look good. The Rocket Launcher really excites the crowd for the 1…2…3 @6:21! The fans give them a little pop, but nothing offensive.} Vince: Jesse, even you have to admit that the Fantastics looked good there. Jesse: I am the first one to give someone their due… they looked okay, but far from good in my opinion. Vince: Truly the opinion of the Body means more than the opinion of most. Jesse: Don’t forget it McMahon. Vince: Fans, let’s head to the ring for our next contest. Billy Robinson vs Dory Funk Jr {A true clinic for these two men. Vince and Jesse both put over their abilities but they really discuss the mean streak of Dory. They talk about how much hatred he has right now for the Briscos after they injured Terry Funk. Billy Robinson is really a great worker and he and Dory roll around, going move for move. The catch as catch can style is over Vince’s head but there are some great maneuvers while Jesse puts over how tight this contest goes. Dory begins to look desperate but then he tosses Billy Robinson into the ring post and Robinson’s shoulder looks to be hurt. Dory runs with a high knee right into the shoulder and then a back body drop. Dory gets a two count, as Billy isn’t done yet. Dory continues to work the arm and shoulder but then Billy begins to turn and roll and he gets a great standing dropkick on Dory sending him back into the turnbuckle. Robinson runs again but Dory moves and throws him back into the ring post again! Dory then rolls him up with a handful of tights for the 1…2….3 @15:46! Dory jumps out of the ring and walks back up the aisle. Robinson shakes off the referees and walks to the back.} Vince: I don’t think there is any question about the ability of Billy Robinson. Jesse: He is a good competitor, but just not good enough tonight. Vince: I don’t think Dory Funk read the rulebook before this one… Jesse: When you are a Funk, perhaps the rules don’t apply. Vince: That could very well be true for our next competitors… let’s go to the ring. Victor & Jose Luis Rivera vs Bruiser Brody & Abdullah The Butcher {A complete dismantling by Brody and Abby tonight. They destroy Victor and then turn their attention to Jose and he doesn’t last long either. A running knee drop by Brody spells the end @4:32! Brody and Abby look like they could go into the crowd to get more action.} Jesse: I told you McMahon… these guys are outrageous! Vince: I believe Brody and Hansen feel as though they deserve something down the line. Perhaps another tag team title shot? Jesse: I think that there is a plethora of challengers for those titles. We will see if the Briscos can regain the titles a little bit later. Vince: I would certainly like to see that contest. Jesse, our next contest is one that we’ve both been looking forward to. Jesse: I said it before; Randy Savage will be the next Intercontinental Champion… Vince: In order to do that, he’d have to defeat the man he faces tonight… let’s see if he can do it… I have a lot of faith in Ricky Steamboat. WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP Ricky Steamboat © vs Randy Savage {From start to finish, these two men leave everything in the ring. This contest has got a little bit of everything. In the beginning, we see both men feel one another out with some smooth transitional wrestling. Steamboat gets the advantage and looks to be in control of the contest but then Savage turns the table and takes the fight outside the ring. The MSG crowd is hot for the brawling type action that Savage brings forth but it doesn’t last too long. They get back in the ring and we get some flying from both men as the pace is picked up to a whole new level. A big cut off by Savage when he grabs Steamboat and tosses his throat onto the top rope and he goes down. Savage just goes on the offensive and he is looking to destroy everything Steamboat has. Vince and Jesse really put over the savage nature – pun intended – of his attack on Steamboat. Dick Kroll is trying to pull him off but Savage pushes him backwards. He threatens the DQ and Savage brushes him off. The small moment of distraction is just enough for Steamboat to come back and the crowd is heating back up. Steamboat is coming back with some strikes and chops and then a big dropkick and Savage is down! Steamboat then goes into a huge series of DEEP ARM DRAGS and he is looking to finish! Steamboat with a high cross body and a two count. He then goes for another and another two count. Savage looks to be reeling and here comes Steamboat off the top rope with a HIGH CROSS BODY but Savage rolls through for the 1…2…KICK OUT! Savage can’t believe it as he gets up and Steamboat runs for a clothesline but Savage ducks and then Savage goes for a backslide but Steamboat flips over his back and goes for a small package 1….2… DING DING DING! Steamboat has won it and he raises his hand. Dick Kroll talks to Finkel and then he pulls Steamboat’s hand down. Finkel announces that this was a NO CONTEST and a TIME LIMIT DRAW @ the 30:00 minute mark. Steamboat says he had him pinned but nothing doing. Savage from behind with a high knee and Steamboat goes through the ropes to the floor! Savage jumps outside the ring and he grabs the title belt and he CRACKS Steamboat from behind! He holds the belt up as it is his own and the crowd is irate!] Vince: You’ve got to be kidding me Jesse! Randy Savage has just… Jesse: He’s just made his mark McMahon! He is the champion in my book! Vince: Jesse, please! Steamboat had him pinned! Jesse: He couldn’t get the job done and that idiot Dick Kroll couldn’t count to 3 if he had help! Vince: I can’t believe you Jesse. Fans, we are going to take a quick intermission, we will be back with more action. * 10-MINUTE INTERMISSION * Vince: Fans welcome back. Jesse… I think the controversy we just saw with Savage and Steamboat could be trumped by the controversy of our next contest. Jesse: Why do you want to bring up that garbage? Listen, just this past week, the Andersons won the WWF Tag Team Championship. They defeated the Briscos and there’s nothing can be done about it! Vince: Well Jesse, you have to admit, there is something to be said about Dory Funk Jr’s role in that whole situation? Jesse: What do you mean McMahon?! The Brisco’s broke Funk’s leg! Vince: It was a brutal contest and this past week, we saw the Anderson’s take out a measure of revenge and possibly take out Jerry Brisco’s arm. Jesse: Eye for eye in my opinion McMahon! Vince: Well they are set for a rematch, let’s head to the ring. WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Brisco Brothers vs The Andersons © {A huge rematch with these four men. Gene Anderson is out with Ole and Arn. Jack looks to be enraged while Jerry has got some wrap around his arm and this one is ready to explode. These four go around 16-minutes. We see the Briscos get the advantage to get things started and they keep up a pace but sooner than later, the Andersons find a way to turn the tide. The double-teaming and blind tags by the Andersons really dictate the pace of the contest and Arn Anderson really comes into his own and he is a whole new level of vicious. The match comes to a screeching halt when Ole holds Jerry’s arm on the ground and Arn comes off the middle rope with a knee right into the bone! You can hear a pop as Vince and Jesse really put it over on commentary! Jack runs into the ring and he is screaming at the referee and Jerry is grasping his arm! The match is called at 17:32! It is a no contest as Jerry is unable to continue. The Andersons then go on the attack again and it is a 3 on 2 attack as Jerry is hurt in a bad way and Jack is covering him up. Lars then runs down to the ring and it is 4 on 2 but he isn’t alone! IT’S DORY FUNK JR! Dory walks down to the ring and he has got a briefcase. Jack is shown covering Jerry as the Andersons join Dory who then gives them a briefcase. What in the world is going on here?!? Jack makes a run at Dory but the Anderson’s hold him. Dory walks over and puts his finger right in his face and smack him. Jack is seething right now. Dory then grabs him with his hand and then he punches him right in the skull once, twice, and then a third time and Jack Brisco falls flat on his face. Dory walks out and up the aisle. The Andersons hold the titles high in the air.} Vince: Now you’ve got to admit that Dory had something to do with this! Jesse: Well I didn’t believe it, but it looks like he does. I think it is justifiable though. Vince: How can you admit to that? Jesse: Like I said, eye for an eye, but when it comes to the Funks and Andersons, they want more than just revenge. Vince: This makes me sick. Jesse: It looks like someone already threw up on that suit you’ve got. Vince: Jesse. Fans, we are going to head to the ring. We know that Bob Backlund will do anything to get his hands on Nick Bockwinkel, but tonight he has to get through Ted Dibiase first. Bob Backlund vs Ted Dibiase {These two get going from the beginning and this is a nice move for move contest. Backlund has got a lot of energy and fire in everything he does. Dibiase is a consignment professional and he is trying to work the contest but Backlund continues to show some signs of mental distress. Jesse and Vince put this over and Backlund is going a little over the line and Dibiase is trying to get outta the fight. Dibiase then goes low and he rakes the eyes and a knee that goes VERY LOW! Backlund then gets even angrier and he chases Dibiase who jumps through the ropes. Dibiase is reaching in his tights and he gets back in the ring… he’s got something on his hand. Backlund catches him and he looks to lock him up but Dibiase turns around and WHACK with his right hand! Dick Kroll sees that something is on his hand and calls for the bell! Dibiase is pounding away and Backlund is busted! Dibiase turns to work the crowd and then Backlund slowly gets to his feet and Dibiase sees him and jumps through the ropes as Backlund is walking towards him. This one is far from over!} Vince: I don’t think we’ve seen the last of this one Jesse! Jesse: Without a doubt McMahon. Dibiase won the battle, but the war is far from over. Vince: I think it is just a matter of time before Bob Backlund gets his hands on Nick Bockwinkel. Jesse: In my opinion, he hasn’t earned the shot yet. Vince: Please Jesse. He has beat so many top contenders. Jesse: Maybe in your mind McMahon… I think there is still one big one left, and he may never get to it. Vince: Perhaps time will tell. Fans our main event tonight is a special attraction. Andre the Giant is taking on Nick Bockwinkel and Bobby Heenan. Let’s go to the ring. MAIN EVENT HANDICAP MATCH Andre the Giant vs Nick Bockwinkel & Bobby The Brain Heenan {Andre with a great entrance as the MSG crowd is soo excited to see him. Bock and Heenan are working the fans over and this is just a fun contest and great way to send the people home. This one only goes about 10-minutes but a fun story is told. Heenan is the perfect foil for Andre who does everything to get his hands on him. Bock is able to get in a couple moves of offense and Andre sells just a little but then he fights back. He nails a big double headbutt on Heenan and Bock and the crowd is rocking. Andre is looking to finish and here comes Blackjack Lanza! He runs down and then Andre grabs him and HEABUTT and he goes down. Bock runs at Andre and big boot right to his mush! Heenan tries to run but Andre grabs him and POWERSLAM for the 1…2….3! Andre has won it! Vince and Jesse really put this over as Blackjack carries Heenan to the back. Bock is holding the title and then Andre makes a signal for the title and it looks like he is interested in taking it over. Vince and Jesse continue to put over the night’s action.}

If footage surfaces of the original 1980 Freebirds-JYD blinding angle, I will be pumped. An amazing angle that has stood the test of time even though there isn't much if any footage ever seen. All I have seen is the original blinding on a very crappy video.
