I appreciate all the feedback guys. It is funny, I went back and listened to Bruce's podcast about what they wanted Raw to be and this is really how I envision this taking place. Those very early 1993 Raws when they were up close and personal with the wrestlers and anything could happen. I don't plan on it going two hours and getting like it is today by any means but I do think that this is a fun way to present "this" product of the WWF with wrestling as a key component on top of all the different personalities that are involved. I will say that I have been lacking on Superstars and Challenge but have been trying to put together some small angles and hot matches to get them some shine as well. All American is kind of a D show at this point but when I need it it will be there.

Are any women being used? Bomb Angels? Judy Martin? Sherri? What would I be looking at? Get a list of women who were active in 1986 and then we can work backwards. I have Liz, Woman, and Sherri as valets but I can sacrifice Sherri to work elsewhere as long as we can work out terms for her to be around WWF to manage the Horsemen here and there. I think this would be a great addition and something fun to work around with the men.

I completely agree... not to mention all of the awesomeness from Japan with the young talent and prime time stars going over there and being stars. Great work to all those involved!

WWF Presents: Prime Time Wrestling 6/2 Hosted by Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse the Body Ventura Matches from: Hershey, PA – Hersheypark Arena Prime Time opens with a still from last week in which we see Ric Flair holding the title belt up against the face of Hulk Hogan… we then see the round two matches of the Television Tournament are released… Bull Ganter vs One Man Gang, Sting vs Greg Valentine, Tully Blanchard receives a Bye, and Curt Hennig vs Don Muraco! Matches will be held next week on television programming. We cut to Jesse and Gorilla and here come the Horsemen… -The Horsemen come out and Jesse is putting them through the roof while Gorilla says it is despicable what took place and he can’t believe that these guys would call themselves champions or even men after what they did to Hulk Hogan. Everyone gets in their shots and puts over how two weeks in a row they left Randy Savage laying and they left Hulk Hogan laying… who is going to be next? -Then we see Wahoo and Tito come out to a huge pop! The crowd is going wild for these guys as they step up to the Horsemen and challenge them to a match tonight… Tully and Windham agree and it is going to be a big main event this evening as we’ll have more action when we come back. *COMMERCIAL* PT is back with Gorilla and Jesse putting over the main event. They also put over the TV title tournament and how we’ll see match this weekend on Challenge, Superstars, and next week right here on PT. They put over how a guy like Don Muraco may not have gone on in the tournament but he will be a major player when it is all said and done and will be a consistent contender for the gold… he is in action now... SD Jones vs Don Muraco w/ Fuji -Great showcase for Muraco who is making his way back up the ladder here in the WWF. Gorilla and Jesse also put over Sika and his issue with Andre the Giant. We’re told there will be an announcement about the two of them in the coming weeks. We see Muraco finish Jones off with that modified Tombstone and it is all said and done. *COMMERCIAL* PT is back and Gorilla and Jesse put over the younger talent in the WWF… namely Sting and Tonga Kid. They talk about their energy and abilities in the ring. They put over Sting’s contest with Greg Valentine this weekend on Challenge in the TV title tournament. He is in tag team action tonight as we cut to the ring... Sting & The Tonga Kid vs The Dark Patriots -Fun tag team match with Kid and Sting really lighting things on fire around the WWF. They handle the Dark Patriots with ease and it is Sting who hits the big Stinger Splash for the victory. We then cut back to the booth and here comes Jimmy Hart with Valentine, Hercules, and Paul Roma. Hart starts by saying he has done a little moving around because of what happened in the TV tournament and the Honky Tonk Man is going back to Graceland. Jimmy Hart then says that Roma may torn every ligament in his knee and he could be out for a while… but that means he is going to cash in the insurance policy he took out because he knew that Slick was not able to be trusted… he does have someone new to add to the Foundation and with no further wait… here he is… 6’10 and 350 pounds of BIG. JOHN. STUDD! Hart and Studd really push the envelope here and talk about how Studd should be next in line for a WWF title shot and he will take on anyone to get the gold! He says he is the strongest man in the WWF and that no one can out work him in the weight room or the wrestling ring! Studd flexes to the camera and works the crowd as Hart has really put a talented group together with these guys... *COMMERCIAL* PT is back with Gorilla and Jesse putting over the big Showdown at Shea. They talk about how it is a big double header with Baseball in the Afternoon and Wrestling at Night. They talk about how the first matches will be officially announced this weekend on Challenge and Superstars. We then cut to the ring for the return of the Hart Foundation! The Hart Foundation vs Wayne Bloom & Steve Lombardi -Pretty simple and solid tag team match here with the Harts. They put it together to handle Bloom and Lombardi. The Hart Attack is the finish but this is nowhere near done... We cut to the booth where the Harts are putting over coming back after the attack from the Russians. That brings them out with Slick and they put over how they are the rightful contenders. The Harts say they accept the challenge and would love to face them… how about right here NEXT WEEK! The Russians accept and it looks like we’ve got a tag title match on Prime Time next week! *COMMERCIAL* PT is back and they are putting over the big main event. We have limited television time remaining but out come the Horsemen. Arn is at the booth with Flair who jumps on commentary. Here comes Wahoo and Tito to a huge pop! MAIN EVENT Tito Santana & Wahoo McDaniel vs Barry Windham & Tully Blanchard w/ Bobby Heenan -We have only got about 14-minutes of tv time remaining and for that time the crowd is going wild for this one. Tito and Wahoo are really becoming a great tag team and work all over the ring while Windham and Blanchard are very well suited for one another. We see the Horsemen isolate Tito and then the big Wahoo hot tag as he comes in like a house of fire and the Horsemen are reeling. Just then we see Arn come up to the apron but Wahoo comes and DESTROYS him with an overhead chop but this leads to Windham attacking. The crowd then explodes when out of the back runs Randy Savage! He runs into the ring in his jeans and he’s all over Barry Windham! He is hammering away as the bell rings and this one has gone crazy. Flair leaves the booth but won’t get in the ring. Time has run out… Challenge and Superstars will have tv title matches and the first matches for Showdown @ Shea II!

NWA Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling June 1986

AWA vs Lutte is an interesting concept especially with the NWA ties... could then be the beginning of a bigger partnership... Gang and Kokina... big time action here. I also like seeing Borne and Kernodle in good spots here. -

St. Louis gets a great card here with Race being on top. I like the National Title reign of Snuka here as well and he honestly has the chance to be one of the brightest stars in the AWA. He's got the talent and just needs the right feud. -
Like the Baba and Koloff matchup and gives some heat to the feud. I am not sure how big a Japan vs Russian feud in the UWF would be but you are making it something here right now which is a good thing. I am also big on Landell right now as someone who could come out of the smoke to be a real contender in the NWA and a force if used the right way.
-
I went back to May and my oh my Steamboat is rolling right now. He is one of the tops in the world and to go along with that you've got Bigelow coming up and Spivey isn't far behind. Then you've got Piper and Roberts around to shake things up. I think this is a case now more than ever that Piper and Jake don't need a title to be relevant.
-
That is a huge July 5th card and a lot of stars from all over the world to make it special. I know PR was kind of a destination in the same type of Japan but utilized differently. I like that type of use here with what you've got going on with that show and some of the talent coming in and out.

World Class Championship Wrestling: May 1986

Go get em big Dust! I wouldn't mind a Dusty vs Dibiase match up here in 1986...could be a great mix of things. Plus I love the idea of Hansen and Rhodes... I may have to look up if and when that happened to check it out. I also like the rub of the Nasties vs Von Erichs... they are very young and green here but they are getting some good chances to build up. -
I guess my general feeling is that the heat generated by Nikita destroying Martel is pushed aside when Baba shows up. It is still a great story don't get me wrong... but my personal favorite part of the story is Martel and I feel like his side of the tale is cut off too short. If we see Nikita and Ivan gloating it makes sense... he is the NWA champion... perhaps the most prestigious champion in wrestling... but it is pushed aside for the angle. I just think the angle could have been pushed to a different date or tv or something to keep the heat on Nikita for almost killing Martel. Again... just one point of view.

I would have LOVED that Freebird six man with Kamala and the Nasties. I also think the Road Warriors vs Funks would be a headliner anywhere in the world. Interested to see what happens with Lawler and Dusty... these are two main dudes... wonder where we go from here. -
WWF NEWS -I think it is safe to say that the honeymoon for the Horsemen in the WWF is over and they have entrenched themselves into the fabric of the company in so many ways. From the shift of Bobby Heenan’s attitude to Ric Flair winning the title from Hulk Hogan… the Horsemen are alive in the WWF and there’s really nothing we can do to stop them. I will admit that I had apprehensions about how they would be used but if you look back at the WWF in 1986… they have been building to this. When the change was made for Prime Time to be the premiere show… they put it together so there could be interviews… which lends itself to the Horsemen. They put it so there would be marquee matches… which lends itself to the Horsemen. They have made television wrestling something special but it is also affecting the house show market. I got word that Tito Santana and Ric Flair went 55 minutes the other night… that is insane to think about if it were Hulk Hogan in the main event spot. This was also a card that had a 30-minute draw with Savage vs Windham! So for over 50% of the show… there were two matches… but the fans keep coming. It is a breath of fresh air with Ric Flair on top and Tito Santana has been a very formidable opponent for him to start out with. Word going around is that Wahoo McDaniel may be next but also that Randy Savage and Flair could headline down the road…. I’d pay to see that. -Speaking of titles… the television title tournament has been a success thus far with some great first round matches. The Final first round contest takes place this weekend on Superstars with Haynes vs Muraco… that match was taped but I won’t spoil the winner. Plus we will see two more this Monday for Prime Time... Speaking of that… the WWF changed up its taping schedule and moved it to Mondays… so Prime Time isn’t live… but it is the first taping which is post produced that quickly to be sent out to the USA Network for release. Often times there are tv tapings going on still while the WWF is airing Prime Time. Could they move it to a live show? What happens with the other taped events then? This could be problematic in the long run for the WWF. - There are many who are waiting to see the eventual Hart Foundation vs Anderson/Blanchard match. It is said to be on the books but later than one would hope. Does that mean that we’ll see Blanchard or Anderson on top with the tv title? Would they purposely put titles on 3 of the 4? I guess we will see what comes of the tournament but a lot of people are talking about Greg Valentine being the front runner for the title to give it a real shine. -Word out of the WWF scouting department is that they have been very high on the development of Rick and Scott Steiner! They are looking for placement for the Steiners come January 1st… if you’re interested in booking Rick and Scott… contact the WWF offices. They are also looking to book out the Nasty Boys… Brian Knobbs and Jerry Saggs. These are two rough and tough individuals who really know how to brawl but not much else. Again… contact the WWF offices if interested. -The WWF has also been looking at bringing in two younger talents. One of the individuals is from Japan and is supposed to have a mysterious gimmick. Expect him and Fuji to be paired up. The other is Owen Hart… the younger brother of Bret Hart. Don’t expect him to come in with that kind of fanfare though… with the current path of Bret… a younger brother may be the last thing he needs. -Negotiations with Hulk Hogan and Japan continue to halt his progress back here in the US and in the WWF. With Andre the Giant becoming a champion in Japan… could we see Hogan become the next champion? He could surely make enough money with merchandising and his 3 shows a month in Japan to be a household name but would that name fade in the US? He could easily come back for any promotion and be the top star in a moment… but does he pine away for a chance to face Ric Flair? We’ll see how those negotiations go and just where he decides to end up.

WWF Presents: Prime Time Wrestling 5/26 Hosted by Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse the Body Ventura Matches from: Allentown, PA – Agricultural Hall Prime Time opens this week with footage from Don Muraco winning his first round match against Billy Jack Haynes. We will see him take on the winner of our next contest. We will also see a big match with Wahoo McDaniel taking on Arn Anderson this evening. Also on tap we’ll see the Rockers taking on Hercules and Paul Roma along with the face to face confrontation of Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan all right here tonight. TELEVISION TOURNAMENT Honky Tonk Man vs Curt Hennig -A really good opening contest with these two going 14 of the 15 minutes! It is an all out brawl with these two and Honky puts on his working boots but you can tell he’s hurting. Hennig just keeps getting better and we see Muraco try to finish with the Shake, Rattle, & Roll but Hennig rolls him through and then pushes him to the turnbuckle and Honky turns around and Hennig grabs him for a FISHERMAN’S SUPLEX FOR THE 1…..2…...3!! Hennig wins it and moves on! He will face Don Muraco in the quarterfinals! *COMMERCIAL* Prime Time is back with Gorilla and Jesse putting over the issue with the Russians and the Hart Foundation. We find out that Bret Hart will be back and the champions will be in action next week here on Prime Time and we expect to see the Russians not too far behind! The Rockers vs Hercules & Paul Roma w/ Jimmy Hart -This one has been building up for a while and these two teams bring it out here tonight and Jimmy Hart seems to be happy… but then… we see Paul Roma tear his knee all the hell! You can see the injury and he is in a bad way. The Rockers and Hercules try to make the best out of what is going on but it just isn’t working. We see a very bad finish with Roma outside of the ring and Hercules getting double drop kicked and double pinned. The Rockers are visibly upset as they go out of the ring. More to come on this injury to Paul Roma. *COMMERCIAL* Prime Time is back as we look at the TV tournament bracket. Bull Ganter vs One Man Gang, Sting vs Greg Valentine, Curt Hennig vs Don Muraco, and then Tully Blanchard will face the winner of our next contest… let’s go to the ring! TELEVISION TOURNAMENT Arn Anderson w/ Angel vs Wahoo McDaniel -A huge television contest here with both men putting forth a great effort for the crowd. We see then go around 12-minutes and don’t think for a second that Wahoo can’t go. He hammers away at Anderson and Angel is out there screaming as every chop happens! Anderson is beat red but he finds a way to fight back with rights and lefts but Wahoo is coming down with some serious power and now Anderson is reeling. Wahoo hits the ropes and comes with a huge chop and Anderson goes crashing through the ropes to the floor! The fans are stirring as the referee counts but Angel gets up on the apron to distract him while Anderson is able to pull Wahoo out of the ring! Angel gets down as the referee continues to count and we see Anderson and Wahoo doing battle outside. The referee continues to count and here comes Wahoo with another big chop and Anderson goes down. The referee is at 7….8…. Wahoo looks to get back in the ring but Anderson is holding his leg 9…...10!!! Wahoo kicks him off and rolls in and raises his arm… but the referee pulls it down… this is being ruled as a Double Count Out! Neither man moves on! Tully Blanchard will receive a bye! Flair and Hogan when we come back! *COMMERCIAL* Prime Time is back and we see a little video of Ric Flair and the Horsemen’s arrival in the WWF along with the celebration of Flair winning the World Title. Still no footage of the actual match with Hogan We then cut to the ring where we see Mean Gene… Mean Gene: Ladies and gentlemen… this is one we have been waiting for… I want to welcome out here right now… the WWF Heavyweight Champion… the Nature Boy… Ric Flair! The problem is that Flair isn’t alone… no… not at all as a matter of face. He is flanked by Angel and Sherri and then Heenan behind him with Windham, Anderson, and Blanchard following…. But who is following them… that is JACK TUNNEY! Jack Tunney walks behind them and gets in the ring on the other side while Ric Flair just sticks his nose up to the crowd before Mean Gene hits that we want to welcome out Hulk Hogan and here he comes! The Hulkster is coming out to a HUGE ovation and he steps into the ring and looks Flair right in the eyes and Flair says nothing but just points at the belt! Mean Gene: Gentlemen… we are going to have a little decorum here tonight… this will not be a brawl… but I have to ask… President Jack Tunney… what do we owe this pleasure? Jack Tunney: I am here on behalf of the WWF and the board of directors. I am here to simply address Hulk Hogan face to face about his recent allegations against my office and the WWF board of directors. Mean Gene: Hulk what is going on here? Hulk Hogan: Well lemme tell you something Mean Gene… I went back and I saw the tape brother… I saw the footage of what happened in Boston and I am going right here on record and saying that I smell a RAT dude! The fact that Jack Tunney and the WWF Board of Directors won’t give me a rematch is the biggest load of…. Jack Tunney: Now wait just a moment there Mr. Hogan… you are the one who signed the contract to face Ric Flair. You accepted the challenge before you and the stipulations that followed. Bobby Heenan: That’s right Hogan… and now you can kiss any hope of getting this WWF title GOODBYE! Hogan makes a motion at Heenan to a crowd pop but the Horsemen protect him… Jack Tunney: What I am here to say Mr. Hogan is that a shot at the WWF title could be in line for you.. Once the contract is nullified. That being… if Ric Flair would sign this paper right now… you would be granted a shot at the WWF Championship at the earliest date available… The crowd pops as Tunney gives Flair and Heenan the contract…. Hogan is looking out to the crowd and pumping them up… Bobby Heenan: You know what Ric… I think we should sign it… I think all these humanoids want to see us sign this and want to see Hulk Hogan get beaten one more time in the middle of this ring! Ric Flair: You know something Bobby… I have waited a long time to be right here… face to face with you Hogan. Now… I hold your whole life right here in the palm of my hands… and I want to see just how bad you want it. I want to see just how bad you think you deserve this title Hogan. I want to see you on your hands and knees begging me for a chance… because Hogan… I did it once… I could do it again… but there is no need to… Hulk Hogan: Well lemme tell you something Ric Flair…. You and these goons around here may think you run roughshod over the WWF but know this pal… you could have Jack Tunney in your pocket for all I know but if you sign that contract it is going to be you on your hands and knees begging for the mercy of me and all my Hulkamaniacs! Jack Tunney: I advise you Mr. Flair that you are in control of this situation… if you feel that Hulk Hogan deserves a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship… please sign… Flair looks out to the crowd and then at Hogan… he grabs the paper and then rips it up right in the middle of the ring! Hogan is crazed as he goes after Flair but the Horsemen pounce! They jump all over the Hulkster and they are laying into him something awful. Gene and Tunney get out of the ring while the Horsemen tie up Hogan in the ropes! They are punching and kicking away as Flair undoes his suit and then the closing picture is Flair shoving the World Title into Hogan’s face. Gorilla and Jesse are going wild putting this over… my oh my!

I have been to Boylan High School and my family used to go to AWA shows there... which is how my grandma got hooked up with Billy Robinson... regardless... this was a stacked card. Top to bottom. When you're third match has Jake Roberts and Roddy Piper and you've got more to come... things are looking good. I will say that I think Sarge is kind of an unsung hero right now in the game... he has got the star power to be more if used the right way but AWA is loaded right now.

A lot has been going on here in WWC. Bam Bam continues to roll. Owen vs Bruce was a fun encounter. Like I said before I am enticed by the TNT movement here. Great young talent going a long way here.

What a card... what a card... Memorial day is one big card and one great show. I love Nikita winning... it was great... but I just didn't think we needed Baba there. It took some heat off of what happened... especially with the way that Martel was destroyed. His is a story that needed to be told but instead we completely shifted to Baba and Nikita which is great... but I just wanted to see more of Martel's story. Outside of that... fantastic card and I love the tag title match with four of the toughest in the sport. Reed and Simmons are together. The scaffold match didn't disappoint. The tag division is hot right now in the UWF and with other pieces of the NWA available... you have got a lot of challengers for the Road Warriors.

I love the use of the Japanese footage. Great way to keep things going... plus it adds to the NWA feeling. The story of King Tonga is one I am interested to see play out. Perhaps one time limit draw too many but Lutte has always got time on the mind and you fill it the right way. -

I agree with the sentiment on Duggan... he is without a doubt one of the top dogs in the NWA right now. I also like the Snuka vs Race contest. MACW is filling in spots with some of the fresh up and coming stars to continue to build the NWA. -

Tonga fights back with some fervor but just can’t break through that glass ceiling here in singles competition. The finish sees him go for a flying cross body but Valentine rolls through and locks him up with a handful of tights for the three count! Valentine moves on... WWF Presents: Superstars of Wrestling Hosted By: Vince McMahon & Jesse ‘ The Body’ Ventura Matches from: Denver, CO - McNichols Arena Featuring: The Bulldogs, Hercules & Roma, and Don Muraco TELEVISION TOURNAMENT Bad News Brown vs Sting -A really fun contest with Sting building some serious momentum here in the WWF. He brings some fierce power and speed with his strikes. The crowd gets behind him but Bad News slows him down. Sting is pretty gassed at the 11-minute mark before Bad News looks to finish. Bad News with a nasty kick to the head and then he picks up Sting to do a judo throw but Sting ducks his head through and comes back with a German Suplex with a bridge as both men’s shoulders are down for the 11….22….3! Lots of controversy here as Jesse says it was Bad News who got his shoulder up but McMahon says it was Sting…. The referee grabs both hands and then raises Sting’s arm in the AIR! Bad News is going nuts as he can’t believe it! Lots of controversy here and this one is far from over! WWF Presents: Prime Time Wrestling 5/19 Hosted by Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse the Body Ventura Matches from: Poughkeepsie, NY – Mid- Hudson Civic Center Prime Time opens with Gorilla and Jesse putting over the opening round matches in the TV title tournament. Early on we see Bravo throwing Blanchard around like a rag doll. We see the Power of Dino on display and my oh my does he look good in that ring thanks to Tully. Gorilla and Jesse put it over in a big way before Tully is able to get control after a Bravo misstep. Tully works over the arm but Bravo continues to fight back with the other. We get to the 13-minute mark as time is running out and Dino is almost out of energy. We see Blanchard and Sherri messing with the turnbuckle and the pad comes off as Bravo runs at Blanchard but Tully ducks and Bravo goes crashing into the exposed steel! Tully covers with a handful of tights for the 1...2…..3!! *COMMERCIAL* Prime Time is back putting over the TV title tournament. The fans aren’t quite sure what to make of this one and it doesn’t last too long. We see the brawl spill outside the ring before Sika grabs the One Man Gangs chain and uses it on him! The referee calls for the bell with Gang getting the victory via DQ! He will move on to face Ganter but here this fight isn’t over. Gang grabs a wooden chair and breaks it over the head of Sika! Officials and agents try to get out there and break things up but nothing doing… this is pure chaos! *COMMERCIAL* Prime Time returns for the final segment and they are pumping up the big show next week. We will see Hogan and Flair face to face while we have two television title tournament matches and the Rockers taking on Roma and Hercules! What a loaded show next week… now it is time for Savage vs Anderson! Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth vs Arn Anderson w/ Bobby Heenan -On free tv…. Are you kidding me!?! Here we go with a huge main event and these guys go a good 13-minutes of HOT action with Savage turning it up a notch. Anderson is pretty good in his singles role but shines brighter as a tag team. We see Double A catch Savage with a reverse Hot Shot and he stacks Savage’s throat on the ropes. Double A goes into a series and really works over Savage and wears him down to the point you just don’t think he can come back… then he does. Savage comes back with a hope segment that would rival Hulk Hogan and he fires back with some huge right hands and then he goes up top and comes flying off with the big double axe handle! Wait a second… here comes Tully and Savage nails him but it is Windham who runs in from behind! Windham runs in and tackles Savage to the ground and starts pounding away on him as the referee calls for the bell. It is a 2 on 1 beatdown and the crowd is irate. They are tearing into him but then the crowd pops when Tto Santana and Wahoo McDaniel run out and back off the Horsemen! Savage is laid out in the middle of the ring as the crowd is going wild. Finally we hear from Ric Flair on his calling out of Hulk Hogan and how he will never get another shot at the WWF Title. Gorilla and Jesse put over the night before they are joined by Jack Tunney! Jack Tunney: It is with extreme pleasure that I am here to announce the brackets for the upcoming Television Title tournament. This tournament will take place over the next several weeks with matches on Prime Time, Challenge, Superstars, and All-American. The finals will be on June the 28th at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Now in recognition of his winning the battle royal this weekend… Bull Ganter has received a first round bye. Here is the rest of the bracket in order... Bull Ganter gets a bye One Man Gang vs Sika Bad News Brown vs Sting The Tonga Kid vs Greg Valentine Tully Blanchard vs Dino Bravo Arn Anderson vs Wahoo McDaniel Honky Tonk Man vs Curt Hennig Billy Jack Haynes vs Don Muraco Jack Tunney: Each of these matches will have a 15-minute time limit which is the alloted time for the television title. All matches except the finals will adhere to that rule as the finals must have a winner with no time limit in that contest! Thank you… -Jesse and Gorilla put over the first round matches including the man coming out right now… Curt Hennig! Curt Hennig vs Conquistador II -A great showcase match for Hennig who looks to be at the top of his game. He handles Conquistador II with no problem and finishes him off with a slick piledriver. He works the crowd as we head to the booth... -Don Muraco and Mr. Fuji join Gorilla and Jesse at the booth and put over the TV Title Tournament. Muraco says he is going to push Hennig to the limit in the opening round and make him whine before putting him down and moving on. Fuji says that soon it will be either Don Muraco or Sika who will be champion! *COMMERCIAL* Prime Time is back with Gorilla and Jesse continuing to put over the tv title tournament. They say that on Challenge this week it will be...Tonga Kid vs Greg Valentine, on Superstars it will be… Sting vs Bad News Brown, and next week here on Prime Time it will be Tully Blanchard vs Dino Bravo and Sika vs One Man Gang. They put over the match with Gang and Sika and how that could go to anyone and spread throughout the arena. They put over the Gang and Slick as we cut to a tag match with the Russians... Steve Lombardi & SD Jones vs The Russians w/ Slick -Nikolai and Boris look pretty good tonight as they are really melding well together as a team. They are very fierce in their movements and look to hurt these two with every move. They have a pretty good finish when Boris holds up Lombardi and Nikolai runs and much like the Hart Attack but from behind Clotheslines Lombardi on the back of the head before Boris gives him a spinebuster for the three count! These guys are BAD NEWS right now and look tough here. We cut to Gorilla and Jesse who put over the tag team title issue and how the Bulldogs vs Demolition was supposed to name the number one contender… problem being that both teams were counted out. The Harts come out and say they will face and and all comers. They name drop the Dogs and Demo… Power and Glory and the Rockers… and the Horsemen. Bret says that they are more than capable of beating any team any time any where! This draws out Slick with the Russians and the Gang. Slick wants to know if his men can get a shot at the titles to which the Harts chuckle and say they haven’t earned it but it would be nice to set them in their place. Slick wonders how you earn something… by beating other people… or by beating up the champs!?! Then we see the Russians and Gang attack the Harts. This is pure chaos as it is 3 on 2 and the champs are down. Gang has mauled the Anvil into the table while Boris holds up Bret Hart and here comes Nikolai with that Clothesline to the back of the head and the Boris with a SPINEBUSTER on the CEMENT FLOOR! OMG! Bret Hart is down and out right now as the Anvil comes to cover him up. The Russians have made a statement here and Bret Hart felt the full effect of it. Slick leads his men back as we see medics come out for the Hitman. *COMMERCIAL* Prime Time is back with Jesse putting over what happened to Bret Hart. We see Gorilla over there checking on him with the doctors. Jesse says that perhaps the Harts bit off more than they could chew. He then kicks it to a special video… “What is really America’s pastime… is it Baseball or is it Wrestling? Find out when you get to experience BOTH on Friday July 4th 1986 for a huge double header! The Showdown at Shea II will come to you from Shea Stadium in Queens, New York for a special Baseball and Wrestling showdown. Come early for the Mets hosting the Astros and stay later for the real fireworks on the 4th of July as the WWF headlines a special card headlined by Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Barry Windham, Randy Savage, Andre the Giant, and more! Individuals can purchase tickets to each event separately or they can buy the combo ticket for admission to both events! Call the Shea Stadium box office on June 1st for tickets when they go on sale!” -Jesse is back putting over how Bret Hart is going to be going to the hospital and then he talks about how Randy Savage has issued an open challenge next week to any member of the Horsemen. He will be here to fulfill that… the Horsemen respond when we come back! *COMMERCIAL* Prime Time is back with Gorilla and Jesse putting over Bret Hart being hurt. They don’t know the extent of the injuries but will keep us up to date. We then see the Horsemen make their way to the ring for this huge six-man tag... SIX-MAN TAG Sting & The Rockers vs Barry Windham, Arn Anderson, & Tully Blanchard w/ Sherri & Angel -Talk about Main Event… this is a great one here for the crowd in Denver. We get 13-action filled minutes with little to no break. The babyfaces are able to get some shine and it is really Marty Jannetty who stands out but the Horsemen break him down and the others. We see Ric Flair come out with Bobby Heenan midway through as they join Gorilla and Jesse to put over the match. The finish is hot when Shawn Michaels gets the hot tag and comes in like a house of fire. Sting comes out of nowhere and clotheslines Tully Blanchard over the top rope to the floor. We see Barry Windham kick Marty Jannetty’s head off and he goes flying before Shawn Michaels nails a big spinning back elbow. Windham is down as Michaels goes up top but Anderson out of nowhere nails the ropes and Michaels crotches himself hard. Windham staggers over… goes up top… SUPERPLEX for the 3-count and this one is over. The Horsemen come over to the booth… winded after a huge victory… Bobby Heenan: Well I guess the cat is out of the bag… the powers that be have done everything they can to hold back the Horsemen in the TV tournament by putting us in the same side of the bracket with one another… but know this… no matter if we’re against or with one another… we’re always the best. The best prove it night in and night out and trust when I say that it will be a Horsemen who prevails in this tournament… now on to other matters… Tito Santana… gallant effort Saturday night… but now you step to the back of the line. Don’t think for a moment it was a fluke or flash finish that Ric Flair put you down and if you even try to come close to him… we’ll do it twice as bad next time. Randy Savage… you put it out there that you want a member of the Horsemen here next week… well pal you got it…. Right here (pats Double A on the chest) you get the enforcer and Savage… he is going to destroy whatever little piece of dignity and pride you have left in your body! Barry Windham: I love that we get o split Randy Savage up amongst us fellas because believe me when I say that he is nothing more than skin and bones and perhaps a little bit of heart… but Savage that little bit of heart you have left is going to be destroyed when all is said and done. You see Randy Savage… I took this Intercontinental Championship from you… I took your King of the Ring crown from you… and honestly there isn’t much left to take… its like an old dog… when he becomes too old… you put the kids in the other room and you take the dog out back. Well Savage… July 4th… Showdown at Shea II… it is on for me and you to step into that ring. There will be no excuses and when I beat you again… you will have nothing left to do but go away forever! Tully Blanchard: You have got to respect and admire a man for continuing to try right… well you also have to know the difference between smart and stupid and Randy Savage is walking a fine line right now. Much akin to a guy like Dino Bravo who comes out here and says he can bench press 500 pounds… well you may be able to hurt the weights but the weights don’t hit back Bravo. Next week here on Prime Time you are going to be in there with me and pal… I do hit back. I am going to step into that ring on my way to the television championship and I am going to put you right back in your place… below the Horsemen… just like all the others. Arn Anderson: There comes a time in a man’s life when he has to look up and down the pecking order… well right now Wahoo McDaniel… you are at the top of a very distinguished list of men who are going to feel my wrath over the next week. You are lined up with me in the television title tournament and I have said it before and I will say it again that there is no equal to me in fifteen minutes on television and you are going to find that out. Next on the list comes Randy Savage. Next week you want to put out a challenge…. Well when you challenge the Horsemen… I am the first one to step in line and don’t you think for a minute that I won’t be coming at you with everything I’ve got. You have had a great career Randy Savage… but you are on your way down from the mountain…. It can be clean and easy… or it can be rough and rugged… that is your choice… but don’t think the Horsemen won’t help you choose. Ric Flair: WOOOO! All is right in the world…. All is right when the Horsemen have the gold… the Horsemen have the women… and the Horsemen have the power! Tito Santana… you put up a great fight the other night but know this… when it comes to bright lights… NBC… the World Title… Ric Flair is number one pal and don’t you forget it! Randy Savage… you are poking your head around where it doesn’t belong pal… you are sticking your nose into the business of the Horsemen just a little bit too much and I think you need to be humbled to what is going on here. You see we are the ones who rule professional wrestling… ask Billy Jack Haynes… huh… ask Wahoo… ask Tito… hell as Hulk Hogan! Don’t think I forgot about you Hogan. I have heard a lot of talk about “how will Hogan get his shot?” “ How will Hulk get to Flair?” The answer is NO! NEVER! NOT A WAY! NO WAY! NO HOW! Hogan… your time as champion is DONE! It is over! You will NEVER touch this title again and Hogan… you will never get your hands on me either! Gorilla: Well Ric Flair… I have it on good authority that Hulk Hogan will be here in two weeks after his tour of Japan… will you be here and go face to face with him? Ric Flair: Hulk Hogan… face to face.... Here with me? Gorilla Monsoon… Hulk Hogan like every other mongoloid in the WWF looks up to Ric Flair when I am the world champion. Hogan… you want to come out here in two weeks and prove to all of these people you have the guts to face the Horsemen… I’ll be here. You want to show up in two weeks and prove to all the Hulkamaniacs that you have something left in your body and in your heart… I’ll be here. Hulk Hogan if you want to walk out here and embarrass yourself in front of people all over this country… Hulk Hogan I will be here… BECAUSE I AM THE CHAMP! I AM THEEE MAN! WOOOOOOOOO! The Horsemen and company work the crowd as we sign off. Big TV title tournament action this weekend… plus next week we see Sika vs One Man Gang and Tully vs Bravo plus Arn Anderson vs Randy Savage… blow the roof off the joint and get ready because Hulk Hogan will be here in two weeks to go face to face with Flair… GET PUMPED!
