  1. I thought the pacing was too slow. There wasn't enough wildness for this to be entertaining. Not a good deathmatch.
  2. An aspect of the Tarzan Boy-Satanico feud that is so great is how Satanico blows a fall against Tarzan Boy in nearly every match by brutalizing him or outright cheating. There is so much heat between them and Satanico makes it seem like he is trying to kill Tarzan Boy. You could learn everything about being a heel from watching Satanico in one match. The match is another great setup and it was interesting seeing the two top feuds at the same time.
  3. Not sure how much of this is clipped but for such a short segment it was awesome. The physicality between Olimpico and Blue Panther was so great. Panther trying to get Olimpico's blood on the fans in the front row was something I've never seen before. It is shocking how much better CMLL is than the rest of the world at the point. I can't wait for each new match.
  4. I liked how strong Hashimoto came off in this match. Nakanishi getting knocked out briefly and turning it into 2 on 1 was interesting. Fast paced basic NJPW heavyweight style match. What was shown was decent.
  5. From the little bit shown this looked better than the other juniors tag from the same show. Liger-Tanaka had a decent sequence and I'm looking forward to seeing them match up more.
  6. Kanemoto looked great bringing intensity to his offense. Otani botched a move badly and was had some timing issues. The match was uneventful juniors work but moved at a decent pace.
  7. Yone killed the flow with his no selling. Greco and Ishikawa had good intensity in their sequences. I'm assuming the mat work was edited out in the clipping. Couldn't engage with this match at all.
  8. Incredible beat down. Just adding more heat to the Tarzan Boy vs Satanico feud. Watching this feud has been the highlight of the month.
  9. Entertaining traditional tag match. The action was as simple as it could get but everything flowed well. I totally agree how great the Backseat Boyz gimmick was.
  10. This was entertaining. There was enough chaos in the brawling so that the action never got boring. Doing all the nearfalls at the finishing sequence was fun. Can't believe that was Kikutaro.
  11. Effective storytelling and a good match. The opening segment with Taue throwing everything he can at No Fear but eventually getting overwhelmed was great. No Fear constantly going back to the eyes put over how much they were in control. Using such a simplistic finish added to the match as well.
  12. Outstanding brawling. The way they built to Satanico and Tarzan Boy in the second fall was a lesson in effective pro wrestling. Can't wait for Tarzan Boy vs Satanico and every other Infernales match.
  13. This match is everything great about ECW. The wild intensity is fascinating to watch and Tajiri gives an incredible performance. What was so striking too was how much the crowd bought in, they added to anything can happen atmosphere. I can't think of an ECW match I liked more than this.

  15. Akiyama did a fantastic job selling for Vader but at the same time putting up a fight. I have a real affinity for these types of All Japan matches where they restrain the excess of the style. Just a simple and entertaining match.
  16. CIMA has such a presence. He has it all and is especially good at feeding for the face's offense. Watching him develop is going to be fun. The match was an easy watch despite having a few segments where it lost steam. They are shooting for the moon with these matches, which is a good thing. Doing so many difficult spots back to back is bound to lead to some mistakes. It will be interesting to see if the formula starts to become repetitive.
  17. Had a blast watching this. The brawling was heated and by the end I was excited for a Tarzan Boy vs Satanico match. Finish was great. Los Infernales are what got me into lucha in this time period and I can't wait to watch more.
  18. It is shocking how hard Bret Hart works in his physical condition here. This is a decent tv match. If only Bret had stayed healthy he could have had another run in him not that it matters.
  19. Akiyama's selling gave the match a solid foundation. Super simple structure. Takayama's strikes looked good and he varied his offense enough to keep this interesting. Finish was smart. Really liked this even with the short match time.
  20. The intensity between Villano III and Atlantis was awesome. In fifteen seconds you knew that they hated each other. The brief period in the 3rd fall where things calmed down were fun too. Can't wait to see the rest of the build up.
  21. The one big positive in here is that they don't botch anything bad enough to derail it. It is tough to get into a match like this because of any lack of build or structure. They just hit their stuff and move to the next spot. The Fonzie stuff around the finish sucked.
  22. The back half of this was good. All four brought lots of offense and the near falls worked well. Nothing too excessive or overdone . Simple well executed wrestling.
  23. I was pleasantly surprised with how basic this was. The simple match structure allowed Cabana to drawing good heel heat to shine. Entertaining look at the ground floor of two major players in the decade to come.
  24. Low Ki was impressive. All of his offense looked crisp. He had a visible athleticism to his movements. The match was a mess structurally. Blade botching the dive then immediately hopping to finish the sequence sucked bad. Total spotfest but interesting for what Ki was already able to do.
  25. This was a pretty fun match. It was was as basic as possible but they hit everything well and the match flowed. Had the feel of a 80s studio match between two lower card young wrestlers.
