That's not the way Round Robin Tournaments work though, is it? What if he is beaten on the last day of the tournament and loses his belts, but the person who beats him for his 2 belts happened to lose all their other matches? They would have won the ROH and Strong belts, but wouldn't make the final to win the Continental belt, right?

A docuseries seems kind of a waste at this point. They should just do a sitcom about the end of WCW. They could call it "Not-So-Young Bischoff"

Thank you you for writing these match reviews. And for sharing them here. -
Wow I didn't realize. No wonder they are never interesting.
-
I'm a little confused by the reactions here. I just checked Wikipedia and Hogan never wrestled last on SNME. He was usually the first or second match. The last match was never the main event.

They did a pretty poor job of promoting Battle of the Belts. I didn't realize it was on this weekend and forgot to record it. These specials should have some kind of big match attached to them that they promote for a few weeks beforehand on tv.

Instead of Adam Copeland, they could have given a name with the first name Edward and the last name starting with a J, then he could have been like Ed Jackson, or Ed James or something. That would have been funny. How come Maria Kanelis isn't with The Kingdom anyway? I am kind of hoping that when Adam Cole returns he turns heel and joins The Kingdom and then we can see Taven and Bennett have more tag matches in AEW.

The Championship Committee must be putting in some late nights debating whether "Escape the Cage" rules should continue to be allowed for title defenses after Saturday Night, since apparently you can win the title without actually beating the champion! I can imagine the piles of handwritten letters that must be coming in from fans disputing that outcome! Hopefully they haven't upset the Network or any of their sponsors! Speaking of sponsors, I wonder if we will see any ads coming up featuring wrestlers? And will this continue into the Ico Pro era?

You know I was thinking that calling the tag team battle royal the "Bada-Bing Bada-Boom" Battle Royal was an unfunny outdated Italian stereotype, but then the camera cut to a pulled back shot of Stacks and The Don in the corner of the studio watching the match while eating spaghetti and meatballs. So now I am unofficially re-christening this The Spaghetti-And-Meatball Battle Royal. -
I just realized if Earthquake and Beefcake were wrestling today, they would be put together in a tag team at some point and given the name "Beefquake."

I liked the 2 out of 3 falls match between Eddie Edwards and Frankie Kazarian. During the second fall Edward's was chopping Kazarian, and Kazarian came up bleeding from the chest. It was so gross. Did Kazarian blade his chest, or is Eddie just that rough with his chops? I was surprised the ref didn't put on gloves like they all do now because blood was getting all over on both guys. And they hadn't even reached the third fall which was the No DQ part.

Haha. Just wait until Tony Khan starts paying his wrestlers in Bison Dollars.

I love that picture, and also the one from Providence with The Big Bossman where Slick is distracting the ref.

Trinity is my favorite woman to watch on Impact right now. I really liked Tommy Dreamer's promo on Crazy Steve. I had no idea Crazy Steve was legally blind or about anh of the other stuff Dreamer said. I did like Crazy Steve's promo after winning the briefcase and after not caring about him for years, I am suddenly interested in watching Crazy Steve. Then he stabbed Tommy Dreamer in the back! Literally! With a fork! I don't really care about him in the ring but now want to see more Crazy Steve segments and promos.

I think Edge should join the BCC, maybe after the Christian feud is done. It's such a weird grouping of guys, I think Edgr would fit well in there. I also I am surprised they didn't test the Duct tape spot before doing it on live TV. Stuff involving the ring ropes seem like it can be tricky.

WWE TV 9/25 - 10/1 Tua is the tribal chief of the NFL
TheDuke replied to NintendoLogic's topic in WWE
I wish they would have done that thing where they have a long period with no commercials during the match, or that SmackDown had picture in picture. What I'm really waiting for is Knight to get on the mic now and start talking about the Bloodline and Cena. This reminds me of during the height of the Monday Night Wara when I was in High school and the most exciting part of Monday Night was hearing what the top stars had to say about what was happening. Also, what's the plan long term here? Is it Roman vs LA Knight at the Rumble? Or maybe the big Elimination Chamber show coming up like Sami vs Roman from the previous year? I don't think they would have Knight vs the Bloodline this early if the plan was for him to win the Rumble match. -
It would be hilarious if they went for years with MJF and Cole always teasing turning on each other and never pulling the trigger. Like if they turn heel, they both turn heel together and continuously tease attacking each other but that's it.

Did Dom get potatoed last night? It looked he had bruising under his left eye. -

Does WWE own the name "Dominik Mysterio"? I would love to see if he ever does leave WWE him wrestling in Mexico under the name "Dominik Guerrero." -
Different Style Match?! Has Inokism reached 80s WWF?

Hahaha we need a category for Best Hair! (Or maybe Best Mullet?)

I loved her the best when she was with Rebel and kept calling her Reba. And it was an awesome act because the valet was not really a heel but for some reason was stuck taking Britt's abuse. Britt's promos and angles became a lot less interesting to me when Rebel just started acting like a heel as well. Similar to how Penta's manager was a lot less interesting when he went from being a serious guy in a suit who just translated what "Penta says" to being an over the top character as well. The wild characters work better when they have "straight men" to work off of (see: Matt Riddle and how fast forward-worthy his segments are without Randy Orton).

AEW TV - 9/6 - 9/9 - Fearing For Our Collective Safeties
TheDuke replied to Timbo Slice's topic in AEW
I think Cornette 's point is that the business is not doing that well compared to the boom periods of the 80s and 90s. However I don't know how you can really measure that because the metric of TV ratings really doesn't mean what it used to because all of TV the ratings are down across the board so you can't really compare.
